In the region I stay in India they have something similar. They stir fry hot peppers with garlic and cumin then they grind it to a coarse paste/mixture. Its extremely hot 🔥 🥵. It is called thecha which translates into ground. Must in every home. Served as a chutney with millet flat breads and raw onion. 😊
