- More than 8 million people in Britain are living in unsafe, unsuitable and unaffordable housing. We need to tackle this together. Next month my Commission on Housing, Church and Community will set out ways that churches, governments and others can end the housing crisis. Together we can make sure no one faces the injustice of poor housing.

I agree. Here in the US this is needed also. We have many charities that are similar that help, but the issue is much greater to tackle with just a few charities. We all need to worl with our communities and volunteer our help and give back.

Were you aware that the cross the Archbishop wears is a copy of The Cross of Nails from Coventry Cathedral where I live, and where he was once a Canon. The Cross of Nails first came about on the morning after the 14th November Blitz on Coventry in which the old cathedral was destroyed by incendiary fire. Two of the giant nails that had held the roof together were found in the rubble by The Dean and formed into a cross by him.
