The Combine is really great it shows their true Talent and Fitness. Loretta's go by random gate picks not your actual placement you earn in qualifying and or your 1st moto place finish.
The Star program elevated him even more he has a good base but if he was in the same environment as of California obviously he would master the Hard Pack tracks and struggle even more in east coast dirt. With the Temperature and many dirt surfaces he has covered over the past year from training he is versatile. The intensive training made him much more durable for long motos. If it wasn't for Star's Program he wouldn't be fast and strong as he is now.

I learned ftom my track champian he used to start way on the outside he came walking up behind me one day with a smile when he saw me repeated way on. The outside gate 23 rider i gave 14 gates space 6 gates from the far outside hmm let me try this...i cut can cut around the inside faster then anyone...but while every one is chpping down the inside banging bars(sadly blocking each ) i look over an go right around the outside because every one barring down the far inside...leaving the half of the track an a whole outside lane...i wouldnt tell u the best part of it...ull have to enjoy that fir urself an see....please stand by arrrrrrhhh
It true at Englishtown NJ i would go out in the first moto an would do my road race euro lines in the corners out of 40 class 250 novices u could see the pro lines cut in si tryed to ride them just what a difference the only class that cut it own path around the race track all the other classes just steam rolled the track surface running all over no organization butcthe pros all on the same line every section of track out wide tocthe inside carrying as much speed as possible big brake bumps right at the mid corner
