I only heard of Marcus Miller a couple years ago...and then, as tremendous bass guitarist. What an amazing thing, then, to stumble upon him treating us to lovely bass clarinet...one of my favorite jazz instruments. Beautiful!
As I practice bass clarinet, this is the sound that I wish to emulate - the midrange, especially. It's vocally expressive and more beautiful perhaps than any other recording I've heard of this instrument. It's a beautifully produced video - and I LOVE that soprano sax!
Guys, please stop saying he turned the bass into a sax! If he would like to play sax, he would do it. This is bass clarinet, end of story. But yeah agree that this is truly amazing 🙂
