2:40, can someone please explain this lyric to me? "daars n berg houtpiele wat brand in pleks van my verstand". I've seriously been pondering it for the last week and I don't understand the symbolism behind it :/
a "houtpiel" or "houtpiele" is land that is barren and can no longer bear fruit. He is essentially singing about how his thoughts are now barren dreams that are burning instead of his sanity and can no longer become anything. More or less. It is a word that is seldom used due to the fact that piel is a slang term in afrikaans for penis. Like dick in English only a lot more offensive.
houtpiele (dooden dicks) means sterile. so a mountain of sterile idees in hie brain that will never lead to something. instead of his intelligence. its explained on their Facebook page
