Gibson isn't the kind of company too produce this kind of guitar , and if you don't remember they tried something similar but it was a flop . Let other companies make these guitar's not fender or Gibson .
Some folks thought it a gimmick when Yamaha came out with the Transacoustic. It's a wonderful guitar without it turned on. But add a little reverb and it's a whole nother instrument. Sounds big and full.
Carry this guitar with a 6 pack of non light beer down the river . . .smoking some weeds and playing some hendrix tunes . . .heaven on earth.

Fender briefly made a guitar with a built in amp back in the mid 90s. I’m almost positive it was a Strat shaped body. I can’t remember exactly what they called it, but it had “Champ” in the name.
Brad you wanna fix my Spark 40 ?
The mower proves that the guitar cuts through the mix. The mower is a blessing in disguise.
cuts through the cut :)
Ikr, I always have a mower on my tracks so to know the mix will be good is great news!
Neighbor is like “Y’all could hear how good this mower sounds… if I didn’t have a neighbor twangin’ on a Lectric Geetar” 😂
“Every time I try do demo the rich whir of a good mower…” 😂
@@TheGuitologist because of course 🤣🤣
I like backpacking my Axe feels secure also if carrying other stuff better balanced. Great Vlog bro
The only issue I see is that the 1/4 inch output jack is mounted right onto the circuit board. The 1/4" plug and cable could put a strain on the jack, cracking the circuit broad.
Something I’ll be watching out for.
Although you would have to whack it extremely fcking hard or to really stomp it into the ground for it to happen, as a technician, I always recommend 90 degrees angled plugs, as well as the ones that you can push the sides to mute or that don't fck speakers up when they get accidentally removed. And also loop through your strap. If you do this I see no problem. It's not actually more fragile than a regular circuit tbh or by perhaps very little
Yep, that is the first thing I thought when seeing that surface mount jack -honestly that would be deal killer for me -that methodology for a 1/4" connection is a damn timebomb waiting to happen -hopefully they could consider floating the jack from the board in the future -I would love to have one of these around -Get my ultra modern Synsonics Ali Farka Toure' on! Anyone going for this pretty awesome guitar should consider using a angle 1/4" to lower some of the risk.
Yes, I use the backpack straps on the gigbag I carry my acoustic bass in.
I have a friend that has one of the acoustic models with the built-in effects. He plays it strictly acoustic most of the time and so he never bothered checking the effects out for a few months. When he finally did he found that the battery had no charge and it would not take a charge. He contacted Enya and they sent a replacement battery. I was pleased to hear that they stood behind the warranty and product. If im not mistaken, his is the acoustic that is shaped like a Les Paul.
That IS nice to know! Thanks for the comment!
Nice solution for the camper van and RV crowd for sure, and not bad at all to quickly grab & noodle around some ideas before they're gone!
You can't do that with a Les Paul or some Walmart crap or anything else?
@4:15 "It doesn't look as if theyve cut many corners" right as the video shows a cut corner on the headstock 😂😂
the more frontal view shows off that's not a corner cut, but rather an off center spike design choice, but good "point".
seen a lot of people promoting this guitar and I think yours is the best so far
Kick in the Karate Kid montage music.

😂 You're the best and the only guitar UA-camr Like your the most Honest and entertaining
Also you speak a lot of knowledge that I learn when it comes to two amplifiers I'm 21 years old
I wish I had a guitar case with backpack straps so I could take my guitar with me when I am driving my motorcycle
This would be great to have in my semi.
I've got one in mine
I have seen a couple UA-cam videos on this guitar recently. Brad, your review is by far the best I have seen. I always love your love your playing too. Kudos.
Yes, Brad provided FAR more detail than any other video I have seen on this guitar.
Agreed, I’ve seen a few demos on this guitar and yours was the most in-depth. Thank you, Brad!
@@cowtipnupchuckr
Honestly it looks like shit and sounds terrible just my opinion
A couple points about performance that I'd be interested to know.
1. Is the 1/4 inch output jack assembly surface mounted directly to the board or isolated from it?
2. What is the battery life prediction when used at medium volume?
Really good review Brad ,thank you kindly.
The TRADITIONAL way of the guitar was invented by Antonio de Torres in Sevilla in 1835. Telecaster is pretty futuristic, built like a assemblyline car. Genius. And pretty forward thinking.
That's actually pretty neat.... I've got, like, 47 guitars, lol, so obviously I need another one.. I ordered one of these from your affiliate link, in black. I think it'll be fun to mess around on, and annoying the kids randomly will be a plus 😂😂
That is Neato
I used to take Pignose amps (and strat , pedals)out to the park or camping
As well as a CRATE "The Can" battery option amp
An actual gas can they made into an amp back when their amps actually looked like Crates
Then the Mouse amps
So I got my Enya Nova Go guitar today and so far I love it. It was set up very nice, good action, smooth easy playing, Tone is great, no dischording tonation seems spot on. I haven't plugged in to an amp get but I will tommorow. I only wish they would have sent a manual or something with it.
Great to hear!
I am a fan of the concept, but with potential engineering upgrades.
don't lose yourself into details, buddy, you're giving away too much
What engineering upgrades do you have?
@@IBoughtItMyself without playing the guitar myself, I cannot fully make engineering considerations, but having the power portion of the guitar, including the speaker as a plug in device that slides out like a cartridge, such that you can transform it into a regular guitar and not carry the additional stuff would be an improvement and allow to replace the internals easily if that should become necessary. A kill momentary switch would be a nice addition. Having a piezo bridge pickup might be a nice option. I had some other ideas that are slipping my mind at the moment. It seems I watched this video a time ago.
-It should have a bigger traditional speaker or two in it to produce better bass fq's. If that means it becomes thicker at the bottom and one would play it more at a tilted angle then so be it, that's normal anyway when playing sitting down.
-It should strive to be, or have an upgrade model being an all-in-one and have a say 25-100 effects&s chains preset option to put on at a press plus something to engage and disingage some effects in the preset etc.
-If people don't need stomp pedals that is worth an extra investment.
Its volume should be at pinky finger access to do swells.
All of these things are possible.
The only thing is will the manufacturer do that next leap.
@@minkahl1644 the big limiter is the feedback, that's why not a bigger/louder speaker on it
I borrowed a workmates Enya Nova Go for a week and I'm really impressed at the build quality. The Carbon Fibre feels very nice as well. I'm tempted to get one of these as well.
It's easy to see guitars like this becoming much more popular, and Enya has been good at improving their models. I'd like to see Screw Pole Pieces on the Pickups for individual string volume/tone adjustments. The thing I'm concerned about type of guitar is that the electronics are probably going to be an expensive problem when they need to be repaired or replaced.
Ok so here is the thing about electronics like any component in a computer if its going to go its going to go during the warrantee period or it will fail out the box, with manufacturing its very very rare to have something fail, Capacitors have come such a long way I cannot tell you the last time I had to resolder a cap on a motherboard that was leaking or failed probably Pentium D days maybe socket 775 on cheaper motherboards. Honestly a major issue is E-Waste because to components outlast the use of the product these days.
Batteries are the only major failure point I have seen, and those technologies have been progressing at leaps and bounds since 2006, in about 4 more years the battery issue will be solved entirely.
Hey Brad. The only worry with products like this that have apps, is the continuing support if the company goes belly up.
If support for the app stops, your guitar is bricked to whatever the last settings were.
Otherwise, sounds great, looks well made and a really cool idea
True. Software support ends, you’ll have to keep your old iPhone going.
Busker Approved :)
I got it. Almost, but not quite inappropriate. Looks like fun. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day.
I have a Nova go sp1 and I really like it a lot . I'm a truck driver and it goes everywhere I do.
That lawnmower really cuts through the mix.
Brad is the closest thing I’ve seen to Johnny Winter since his passing. He has a very similar way of playing as Johnny.
It seems that with the USB cable, you could go directly into your computer to record or use the computer's speakers. DI to DAW without an interface.
Yep you can.
I saw this guitar at the Northeast Guitar Show couple of weeks back and loved the sounds you can get out of it. I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that it costs less than 350 pounds. It definitely looks and sound more expensive.

I think it sounds really good Brad! Would be fun to play
That's a great take anywhere practice guitar
Very thorough, and I didn't fall asleep. New sub here.
As a guitar repairman, luthier, I'm highly impressed. I love what they did with the frets, except I wish it didn't create a notch at the edge of the board. The approach could be improved upon but still a high-class feature.
This honestly does look like one of the best things I've ever seen and I've seen a lot. I want one!
You can tell that they are paying attention to the SMALLEST of details. Especially those LITTLE details that are most often overlooked or just ignored because they are considered irrelevant or inconsequential and it saves like 10¢ for every guitar they make. However, when it comes to a professional level instrument, it’s EVERY tiny detail that adds up to making a truly great instrument. This is why the “cheap” “lawsuit era” Japanese guitars to even the Japanese made Squier guitars are so saught after today. People realized just how much care was put into every detail of the guitars that were produced simply because of the Japanese work ethic. The Japanese still produce instruments that are some of the highest in quality for the price in comparison with most any mass production guitar factories elsewhere in the world.
I have a Pignose guitar, 24” scale, 80’s I’d say, duel rail
HB/single coil and internal Amp, a gift from a guitar tech I used briefly, before she moved out of state, I had to change all the bridge screws to get the action where I wanted it. Hardtail strat style bridge, this thing here is amazing, I’m going trade my Ovation for it!
Can’t keep the dang thing in my lap, shame …beautiful Ovation Mahogany neck
But I’m an electric guy thru and thru & Feedback!😳 thanks Brad, you’re review beats the hell out of any I’ve seen on that guitar so far!😄
The killer feature of the Pignose is that the speaker sits under the strings, so you can get amazing feedback in battery mode... But when you use it live, pull the pigs nose and all hell breaks loose - infinity feedback and sustain!! I love mine. It helps to take the bar off that holds the strings down on headstock so that the strings break at a better angle :)
i see you syncing the feedback frequencies with that lawn mower. ;) great stuff. thank you for sharing. do you make a bit if i buy it through you?
A small amount.
I dig both straps on the backpack gig bag. It's good for what i do in my church and band. I have one that carries 2 guitars, then I have a free hand for my pedalboard case and my 1×10 combo amp. Nice for just 1 trip!
My thoughts exactly.
Awesome as Always Really cool content...thankyou
Blown away
Nice Demo Vid and play
As you discovered the feedback
I was thinking Ted Nugent tone
got a black one last week and love it.
If I’m running away from a gig I’ll use both shoulder straps, but only one strap on the way there
I'm too tall to wear the gig bag like a backpack. The head stock would hit every door frame I walk through.
Great playing, Brad! Tasty licks.
I had the stratiocaster with the built in ampliofier, I got it from service merchandise? It came down from the second floor on a conveyor belt.
That sounds like the first electric guitar I ever played. It was set up at a Service Merchandise too. I must have been 12 or 11.
Question - - the feed back (sustain) from the onboard spearker sounds great, but when you plug into an amp is the onboard apeaker disabled? - or is iot on, giving you that sustain?
Plugging into the output jack to an amp kills the onboard amp, unfortunately. Preamp still works, but speaker doesn't. Guessing they did that to help with battery life. Wish there was a way to switch that on and off though.
I play tellys, strats, and tube amps. I want one of these!
Good playing as usual brad.. cool guitar
Well, damnit, Grampa wants a new toy...
And props to y'all for having Double XLT t-shirts available. Finding anything that even has a chance to fit well these days is a task when you actually are big and tall. I shall be purchasing a 'stop resisting' edition soon. That made me laugh and giggle all morning and I am not a "geek."
Hi Brad , just bought one of these after watching your video and I love it , so much fun , just sit on the sofa reach out and pick it up and blast away , thanks for the recommendation
Have fun!
Hey Brad I bought the Enya ukulele and I really like it a lot. It stays in tune and sounds great. I was looking at maybe buying the Nova go SP1 but you may have changed my mind. I really like the versatility of the Sonic. It is more of what I was looking for. Thanks for the review
That's amazing! Great playing btw. 👍🔥
I like the look of it. White guitars are my favorite behind natural
Looks fun, especially the feedback stuff. It's good to know that when the app stops working you can use it as a regular guitar, that's good design. :)
When the app stops, just pray you didn’t have your four presets set to something stupid.
I do both straps it gives me guitarist protection sent directly from heavens (theft protection, longer life on the gigbag and it makes me feel good)
Bullet Boy's, the band I was playing with in the early 90's opened up for them.
Smooth up in ya, Hang on St Christopher 🤘🏼
Where the down boys go. ?
@@An2oine That was Warrant, man
@@An2oine that's Warrant man. The BulletBoys were another La band but the singer was trying to imitate David Lee Roth a little bit. They were heavier than warrant who was more of a Glam band, although they had a couple good songs and their guitar player was decent.

I always wondered what happened with Boaz. I have to say, I'm curious! They took the nod from Aria Pro and carved the neck and body.
I'm very curious about these.
I remember Brad’s last post about the two main guys having some disagreement on monetary issues. I wonder if they’ve sorted that out yet
Much respect , for a job well done. Your points are good, the concepts, technology, and workmanship , are State of Art, for Machine….welcome- to Machine !
that's some nice fluid playing... guitar sounds a bit thin and brittle to me though? maybe it would be different if i was in the room.
If they come out with a "T" style one like this..... I'm for sure going to try and buy one!!!
I just may get one of these. Looking on amazon now.
I had a synsonics guitar when i first started playing. My parents bought it for me in the 80's. It had the built in amp with distortion but no other effects. Little me thought it was the most bad ass guitar ever 😂
This concept is really cool! I'd love a baritone version in sparkle black with some nice binding and a bigsby lol, totally block off the speaker though, but it'd look fricken cool. Also it'd be cool if some hackers made a hotrodded version of the app with more amps, IRs and fx.
Brad, YOU ARE A BRILLIANT MUSICIAN! I LOVE YOUR PLAYING. Great demo, too!
i have used a mooer gtrs for a while thats worth checking out ,you can gig with just the
guitar pluged in to the desk, bluetooth to my phone to load presets built in rigs ect
headphones stright in the the jack if i want i think this is how guitars will all go
they do so much i can choose what type of pickups ,choice of what guitar, amps
effects i want load in with a press of a button excellent for recording they will just get
more popular .
I think it's cool as hell I am 58 and learning how to play guitar, but having a hard time, that guitar would be a lot of fun to mess with,I really like it.
Well done for showing the guitar not plugged in like all the rest 👍🏻😎one thing what is the action like?
dipinto made a guitar that had a detachable small amp that went with the body lines, it was kinda cool
Pretty cool ..good review Brad ...im old school so i don't want one but plenty of people would see the benefits ..

Had the Fernandez years ago, was a blast. These make a good first guitar too, as it keeps the kids interest longer.
Nice finger picking technique. That guitar seems better quality than my Ibanez RG421.
Mr Guitologist, I do love to watch you play the guitolar.
I live in the Chattanooga Tennessee area and I would definitely want both shoulder straps with this guitar. I’ve been wanting a guitar I could take out in all temperatures and just be able to play in the car on my lunch hour. Sadly enough though they don’t seem to offer a left handed version. For the price point, it seems to be a great value. Bummer… I’m a southpaw.
I checked the price. It's only $400.
My friend had a guitar with a built in speaker in the 90's. I think about it regularly 🤣
@22:15 Look at that old Wifi router! I bet every time he revs up the ol' microwave, everything loses wifi signal. lol
Probably not. That Linksys router is a workhorse.
Do you get feedback on the gain channels with both knobs at 10? Ive been trying to contact support (unsuccessfully) to see if i have an issue with my guitar.
The smooth up, lol
is the body made from your standard run of the mill carbon fiber, or did they go the extra mile and source some good tone carbon for it?
Gotta love that new fangled Space Age Technology :)
If the board does crap out will it still play through an amp? Or does the pickup circuit always run through the onboard effects/amp board?
The output jack is connected through the board, but I don't think it's at all dependent on the board to operate. Worst case scenario, you could just bypass the board and install a jack to the switch.
After watching and hearing you play it I suddenly fell in love with it 5 minutes in Of course you can make a yard sale POS sound like a. Gibson LP Custom.I haven't looked up the price but, Im sure it is out of my reach. Thanks, as always its a great day when you post a new video. God bless you and keep on trucking.
Dual straps are a must. And the concept, although not new, is nice. Even if the PCB gives up the ghist, you have enough space to fit an SOC and a small power amp in there. Or a disassembled ToneX.
Great playing, as usual!
Hey Brad you have actually shown more about this guitar than I have seen other people do, like the app and how to adjust things within each effect. Nice shredding as well LOL
Glad it was helpful!
@@TheGuitologist You are always helpful, even when you did a video on your Jag X-Type.
I'm impressed. Sounds great to my ears, much better than I expected. Forget the haters, I appreciate you doing this demo. 😊
Wow. I never caught a live stream. We have the same time zone and sun and shit. Lol
I'm thrilled that you can do this with just a smart phone and not a computer, which I gave up years ago.
Great looking product. I've got a Epiphone Mo Baby with a built in amp that is a POS but I love the resonance feedback too much to part with it. My grandson has his eye on it so he'll probably get the Moderne and the Mo Baby when I'm gone.
Good video review my friend.
it has a headphone/line out. I'm curious... how's it sound when plugged into a nice car stereo via an aux cable? My camping van can be opened up and turned into a cannon of a boombox.
That's actually pretty sweet! Pleasantly surprised. 😎
I really enjoyed your review, humerous and comprehensive. I think I´m going to buy one.
Around 1980 Mattel made a one string toy guitar with an onboard speaker "Star Maker Guitar" and it is highly collectable for it's feedback awesomeness. Glad to see that lost feature brought forward to the present.
Hey Brad, your strumming arm passing across the speaker gives a sort of phaser effect. Bonus!
man it even comes with that aussie "humm instrument" hahaha!!!
kool stuff brotha!
was that a li ion battery pack in there plugged in by the balance lead? looked like a 2s/7.4volt unit....
That's slick brad!!!!
A proper good o'l boy Brad ! ... great review and playing
Clever idea. Is there a bass version available?
A bass version would be interesting. I wonder if a decent one is even possible.
Do you have a guitar with the same type of bridge that you could do a sustain comparision with?
Yeah....I think I'm going to buy this. In the summer we spend time out in my in-laws' beach house and even though I leave a little Yamaha acoustic out there, I miss playing an electric. It's just too much of a pain in the ass to bring out a guitar and amp on the train and ferry. This thing is literally perfect.
Nice Review...looks like a smaller version of a "Buckethead" Les Paul..
I had a Synsonics Terminator and it was not too bad after some modding.
How long does it hold a charge?, it would be great for busking.
I still haven’t even charged mine. Full charge, you could busk for at least a couple hours.
Brad, I guess carbon fiber has again become affordable. MSA built a carbon fiber bodied pedal steel guitar a number of years ago. It was fantastic. And non responsive to climate fluctuations…unlike the traditional wood body pedal steels…they are prone to “cabinet drop” aka cabinet flexing from the various opposing mechanical forces utilized to bend and release the various strings…cabinet flex causes the tuning to be a little flat or sharp when activating some of the pedals and knee levers, and therefore they need to utilize various method of mechanical compensation for that. The MSA carbon fiber models had zero cabinet drop at all.
They were discontinued due to the sudden rise in cost of carbon fiber material. I seem to remember a drop in the number of various companies, offering carbon fiber acoustic guitars around that time too.
What's the price point for this little jem ? ? Excellent critique.
