Thank you for sharing a part of your life with us. It has been an encouragement to me. I have watched Murdoch Mysteries from the beginning. You are my very favorite actor. I’m so glad to hear you say how proud you are of your wife especially with all of your own achievements. I’m looking forward to reading her book, “Raising Your Kids Without Losing Your Cool”.
Whenever I watch MM I'm reminded of novel 'The Alienist' by Caleb Carr. Same time period, story told so well I could feel the restricted, itchy clothes, smell the dirty streets. Heroes using the new sciences to solve mysteries, real historic people featured in the story. Thanks to all involved in MM for creating a wonderful glimpse into the past (especially the costume staff- the gradual shift in style is amazing).
That's fair, though I think Alienist is considerably darker. Though credit to MM for going to some fairly dark places, certainly darker then I ever expected.
Yannick I remember you from Sue Thomas FB eye. That is one of my all time favorites. I love which I can catch it on ION.I don’t care that I have seen all the episodes. I enjoy watching them over and over. They are that good.
My Mom passed away last spring at 85, she was a huge Murdock fan. Because of her I became a fan. I can’t hear the theme song without thinking of her. Thank you
Ok not gonna lie, literally watching all ofbmurdoch again. So my family doesn't know, they think I'm still wathing it for the first time. Now that is a huge LOL!
Hello Yannick un bonjour de France. Je suis une fan inconditionnelle. Je vous trouve exceptionnel dans Murdoch. A très bientôt et portez-vous bien. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇫🇷🇨🇦
Yannick, my wife is binge watching Murdock Mysteries after I did. She loves the show. Great job Yannick to you and the creators of the show. We watch many shows on Netflix and Amazon, from different countries, your show is among the best. Hopefully you keep the show going and going. You and your show family for Murdock Mysteries is a great gift from Canada.
Murdock Mysteries is my absolute favourite series and I’ve watched it from the beginning. Love all the main characters especially George with his continuous Sir!! You have such a lovely voice Yannick! 🌈♥️
It's nice to see you smiling . Thank you for doing these more personal blogs they really do mean a lot to us and I for one, hope you continue with them! The more you can reach in, for the difficult to realize (and even harder to express !) topics, the more engaging it is to watch and it also more helpful to others! Seeing that you, are able to talk honestly, with such humility and integrity , while seeming only to strengthen your dignity, is inspiring. You make it seem like a task that's in reach, for those of us who have always found it difficult, to really open up before. Thank you! P.s. That hair cut looks super cool and honestly, takes your age back a couple, few decades! P.s.s. Dune rules!
I have been binge watching Murdoch now for weeks and weeks! Everyday all day. I hope this show continues forever, is that possible? Haha Love from Canada xo
It’s so nice to get to know you away from the show. I discovered Murdoch Mysteries about 2 years ago and really enjoy it. Thanks for making your character come to life!
Hi Yannick, from over in the U.K.! My mum & I love seeing you in "Sue Thomas FBEye" & the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries, we are just now getting into Murdoch Mysteries. As to favourite books - CS Lewis' "Narnia" & LM Montgomery's "Anne" books get revisited regularly, as does Jan Karon's "Mitford" series - when I'm not into SF/fantasy or Scandi crime that is! Thanks for sharing & stay safe.....
I’m spending my shutdown time watching Murdock Mysteries from Season 1 to Season 13 and every single Episode. This is my third time. It never gets old.
I began watching this show since the stay at home time due to Covid19. Love the show. The actors are great. Love the way historical events are part of the show and how they deal with issues of the time period and how it relates to our world now. I get the show thru Acorn here in the US. Kudos!
I love MM, and only came across it a few years ago, but have binge watched to catch up. The show screens on Thursday nights here. We get 3 episodes - 2 from the current series and the third from a previous series, I stay up till 1130pm to watch regardless. I'm totally addicted, love all the characters and hope George finds true love after all those trips to Central Station. The references to future technology are great, keep them coming. Best wishes from Sydney 🇦🇺
Hope the whole cast is enjoying time off to reconnect with themselves and loves. I work retail and I am emotionally and physically spent. Please just stay home, on your property, or rented dwelling. Please I have a family too, my parents are in their 60's, my mommom Pauline is in the nursing home. Please stay home, I had a pneumothorax when I was born and have scar tissue. Please stay home my coworker has lost two members of their family and I dont live in a region thats been hard hit. Just please stay. Home.
I am really enjoying these videos. We're glad to see you and your family are well. Thank you for being so gracious and sharing a bit of your private life with us. It's encouraging and inspirational. Until the next one. . . stay well.
Yannick Thank you so very much for your lovely message.... I truly love Murdoch mysteries.... It's a great Series.... And all your Characters are very Awesome.... Even in real Life you Guys are awesome.... Thank you again and enjoy your reading..... 💖❤️💖
Nice to hear from you again so soon, Yannick. Yes, there are indeed some blessings to this lockdown. I reckon many people will be catching up on reading. Personally, I haven't gotten back into books yet since my university days - I was studying English Literature in my Master's degree, and I think I burnt myself out. However, besides when doing formal studies, my other best times to read is when on public transport, to & from work or university. But that's in the past. I'm home 24/7 in my normal life. I need new glasses, too. But yes, absorbing oneself in books is a great experience. For the moment, I'm binge watching many things on various streaming networks... and looking after a terminal elderly mother. It's great to see you relaxed & looking in a bit of a holiday mood. Happy reading! Cheers from Adelaide, South Australia 😎👍🇦🇺
Looks like some good reading there, Yannick! Great way to pass the time when you're #SelfIsolating. Some of my favorite reads include the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, The Space Trilogy by C.S.Lewis and The Century Trilogy by Ken Follett (currently finishing the 2nd of the series).
It's a lovely thing to be able to have time to read. I always have time to read as I'm not memorizing any scripts. I take the Goodreads reading challenge every year and try to beat my previous year's goal. If you enjoy historical fiction stories based on the Wars check out Kate Quinn's stories (if you haven't already/when you have time) : The Alice Network and The Huntress. You won't be disappointed, they're well crafted stories about amazing women. Keep us posted about what other stories you are enjoying. Thank you for sharing your time with us. Hubby and I love watching Murdoch! My nanny (God rest her soul), loved your show as well. She was actually the one to turn us onto it. She only had 3 channels on her TV (rural life) and CBC was one. She looked forward to your show every week. She died a few years ago, but I'll never forget the night I was visiting with her and we had to stop everything, Murdoch was on. Take care. Stay safe.
Just put Agents of Influence on my Wish List at library. Still unbelievable it took so long for the US to finally get into either of the WW's. One of my most recent favorite books is The Nazi Generals Wife .... true story of a Jewish woman who married a German soldier. Truly magnificent story by Edith Hahn Beer.
Thanks for the book recommendation! Politics, racism, pro- Protestants, anti Jews, also coming out of the depression, not wanting to get involved in other countries business.
OMG!!!! First book you show us, as one of your fav is DUNE!!!! We just find your series here in Hungary - Murdock nyomozó rejtélyei in my native language - and im so happy you like Dune. :))
I mentioned this in your previous video. I enjoyed books by Richmond P Hobson. Basis of Nothing Too Good For A Cowboy TV show. Yannick was an actor in that series. Based on BC frontier life.
Patrick Dennis's original "Auntie Mame" - it's still a laugh out loud wonderful read - followed closely by "Little Me" by the same author - both are my "go to" books when I need some cheering up or just a pleasant diversion - highly recommend 👍
Loved this video!!!! I'm a bookworm as well as a Murdoch Mystery fan. I have seen all the episodes through season 12. I will check out her book. I have 2 boys and my husband and I need a good laugh. Thank you for aharing. BTW you and your wife have the loveliest names. God bless☺
My 86yr old mother is fighting cancer right now & what makes her happy? Murdoch marathon. We have to wait for dvd release because we don’t get it on cable here in Ky. So we have all the seasons except the current one. Popcorn & Murdoch. My sister is binging High Tide we video taped years ago & transferred to dvd. Yannick overload? I think not. Stay safe!
Reading is a great way to escape the crazy stuff that is going on! I've read two Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries, and some ghost stories. Next I want to revisit my collection of Sherlock Holmes stories! I love watching the Murdoch Mysteries! We get this series on CBC each week day at 1:00 PM. I hope all of the actors and actresses are safe at their homes! Please be safe, and remember to wash your hands! ~Janet in Canada
Are you sure you're happily married? If not...I've got a GREAT idea!!! That is if you like (much) older women! LOL!! Love Murdock Mysteries, thank you and all the cast!
Currently reading an autobiography. Work by Julie Andrews. Yannick should write one. A career of almosts and then suddenly thrust into worldwide fame. This is something I’d love to get his take on. Yes, there was a certain amount of fame in Canada because of Hockey Night, but as an American, I didn’t know about him. It’s a very interesting idea. I hope that if someone sees this, they might discuss it with him. Because he often talks about getting antsy to see his career take off, I wonder what his take on fame is. The before and after Murdoch are two extremes really. Please ask him to discuss this. Waiting For Murdoch by Yannick Bisson lol
I recommend everything by Erik Larson. All non-fiction, tho. My husband will be delighted someone in entertainment appreciates Frank Herbert. He was so disappointed in previous Dune efforts. Here’s hoping the new one will be better.

Hello Mr. Bisson, me again. First of all, my congrats to your wife for getting her first book published. I can identify with her elation upon receiving that first copy delivered to your house. Thank you for allowing us some insight into your true persona and family life. And you have good taste in books: from science fiction to historical/fiction, and of course your wife's autobiographical, anecdotal, child-rearing self-help book. From your own admission, it's your wife who possesses the humour and not you...but you're okay with that lol. My books are science/historical/fiction, autobiographical and funny. I like to think my books military, historical, science, cultural and spy references are both accurate and enlightening. Here are a couple of reviews from my first book: 'This was a neat story and a good read. Well done!' Major-General Ivan Fenton: Canadian Armed Forces and 'I read ABAJAM and was, quite simply, gobsmacked. It’s very readable, funny, and surprisingly inventive. (If I start a book and find it boring, I put it down. Life’s too short. I didn’t put Alfy’s down.)' Peter Carter, Editor @ Today’s Trucking, Teacher of Journalism @ Centennial College. You say you like going to different worlds, matters of intrigue and adventure, you're interested in indigenous peoples, then you'd probably enjoy my books. But I would really love to have you read the first several chapters of my second book and give me your honest opinion. This is not a solicitation for your endorsement or review unless you felt it worth your while. And yes, it would make for a interesting TV series should it ever come to that. Here's a link to one of my book chapter readings on my UA-cam channel if you're at all interested and have some time...duh, as we're all under contagion arrest. ua-cam.com/video/f0ihxNgQcHQ/v-deo.html
Have you or your crew , every thought about Paul Gross. Having a hand in playing a part in Murdoch Mysteries , He did act as a famous R.C..M.P Mountie., which in 1920 they were know as N.W.M before we were know as Canada. Just food for thought.
Hi, I live in Serbia, I watched 7 seasons of Murdoch Mysteries on Epic drama channel but I don't know where to watch other seasons for free. Does somebody know? ❤️
Hah, I knew Dune would be the book he’d pick up. I’d really recommend Helliconia trilogy by Brian Aldiss. Absorbing story of how a virus prepares mankind for long term climate extremes that last epochs.
You sound like my husband. He is ALWAYS buying books. I'm not kidding. He has over 10,000, and that's after giving away about 40 boxes when we moved! Your wife is lucky that you read her book. I wrote one, and my husband is not interested in reading it.
I'll have nothing to do with this man. Not only did he leave Aurora Teagarden and went back to his job with the CIA but, he went back in time to the 1890s and hook up with a doctor! I like the Murdoch Mysteries but, the character is a little stiff. Not enough emotions. Good Luck and be safe.
Getting tired of this Yannick, hopefully soon things change. Question Yannick, how many more years will you do Murdock Mysteries. Are u a golfer, remember the episode you did re golf.
Hey Yannick, stay safe the world needs more Murdoch Mysteries.
i totally agree on that! cheers from France Yannick ;)
I love this man, it's so nice to see the real him for a change.

I’m so glad to hear you say how proud you are of your wife especially with all of your own achievements. I’m looking forward to reading her book, “Raising Your Kids Without Losing Your Cool”.
This actor is so good-looking.
Carol Garabedian - I one thousandth your comment. I couldn’t just second it ...
His eyelashes to me are like when Mogli is in a trance from Kaa’s eyes (snake in the jungle book).
We need a new season of Murdoch
Anakin Skywalker right ! I want the show to continue for long years

Soy un gran seguidor del la serie
Have you or your crew , every thought about Paul Gross. Having a hand in playing a part in Murdoch Mysteries , He did act as a famous R.C..M.P Mountie., which in 1920 they were know as N.W.M before we were know as Canada. Just food for thought.
Your the best🤘🔥
I wish to see you in another sort of movie.... Another role... Surprise us... You are good
Congratulations to your wife on the first publication.
What a handsome man! My God!
I remember you from Genius, where you played the snobbish hockey player.
Read "The Wheel of Fortune" by Susan Howatch
Handsome guy 😍 UK
Can't wait for season 18 , self isolation 🤔 I think it was forced isolation🤷♂️
Murdoch mysteries: the video game

Love to see your wedding ring. Why does William Murdock not wear a wedding ring?
Hi, I live in Serbia, I watched 7 seasons of Murdoch Mysteries on Epic drama channel but I don't know where to watch other seasons for free. Does somebody know? ❤️
No, I know you can watch it on Acorn TV( 13 seasons for 5.99 per month). You could always binge watch and then cancel:)

Yannick : did you see Denis Villeneuve’s new DUNE?
Hello Yannick ! Un petit mot en français pour les fans de Murdoch 😉
Hah, I knew Dune would be the book he’d pick up. I’d really recommend Helliconia trilogy by Brian Aldiss. Absorbing story of how a virus prepares mankind for long term climate extremes that last epochs.
I'm a Brazilian Murdock Misteries lover. Be safe!
🇸🇰 super serial
T h a n k s !
Y love you
Tem como traduzir em portugues?
I thought that was a Scottish movie - they were not Dune yet?
He is the hot AF!🔥🔥🔥
You sound like my husband. He is ALWAYS buying books. I'm not kidding. He has over 10,000, and that's after giving away about 40 boxes when we moved! Your wife is lucky that you read her book. I wrote one, and my husband is not interested in reading it.
You look so great. You look like you are in your twenties / thirties.
I'm in love with you.
This guy looks like Detective Murdoch, You know people try to be like him
Season 14? Season 14? Season 14?
Wow, I'd barely recognize you!
Dommage que je ne comprends pas l anglais
I'll have nothing to do with this man. Not only did he leave Aurora Teagarden and went back to his job with the CIA but, he went back in time to the 1890s and hook up with a doctor! I like the Murdoch Mysteries but, the character is a little stiff. Not enough emotions. Good Luck and be safe.
Getting tired of this Yannick, hopefully soon things change. Question Yannick, how many more years will you do Murdock Mysteries. Are u a golfer, remember the episode you did re golf.
So this whole video was to promote your wife's book?
I hope you feel better.
