In this video art lesson I cover acrylic techniques on how to paint the textures in the water as well as the fine details in the foreground. I also cover how to paint the sunset. I used various paint brushes which I cover throughout the video lesson.

Materials used:
Golden fluid acrylic paint (titanium white, carbon black, prussian blue, cerulean blue, primary yellow)
Liquitex soft body acrylic paint (cad red, cadmium orange)
Water for mixing into the paints (thinning) and washing brushes
16x20" stretched canvas

Beautiful painting! I like when you said to "focus on the brush and not the painting", that really helps because I am always trying to make sure that each brush stroke is turning into an eventual painting.

I agree. You paint pictures that people want to stare at for hours. Any chance you might paint a painting lesson with trees and flowers?
How to you keep your blended paint wet longer on your palette? I struggle with this so much
Beth Tannenbaum I use a little spray bottle with water. It was an old body mist spray that my girlfriend cleaned out and repurposed for art. Just a spray every now and again on to the palette helps keep my paint from drying.
