First appearance of Rita Littlewood in Coronation Street (2 December 1964)

60 years ago, Barbara Knox (nee Mullaney) made her very first appearance as Rita Littlewood in Coronation as an old pal of Dennis Tanner's who was an exotic dancer!
Rita only appeared in one episode, and it wasn't until 1972 that Rita became a regular character, and the rest is history.
