Sadly she was only the pawn, & the Emperor only learned the truth of Yihuan’s love towards him later in the days. And we all know what his response would be, “I’m an Emperor, I rule the world, what’s past is past, don’t put the blame on me” 🤦🏻♀️🙄

周迅的一颦一笑一言一行表现的都是真的人在生活。很多演员演的都跟画里书里的人一样，好看却总觉得不真
她很多小动作都非常生活化，很像我们日常的小举动一样，说话的口气也是，完全不像在念台词，像真正的在和人对话一样。

I always like the close friendship (or sisterhood) between Ruyi, Hailan and Yihuan. Nothing superficial. Nothing monetary based.
Ruyi and Hailan got hurt the most when Yihuan committed suicide due to the painful truths, she had to dig out of the emperor.
Xiangjian is also similar to Yihuan later on the series. Both are straightforward and no-nonsense, said some things which are too contemptuous for the Harem, and was both told by Ruyi to share those ideas only to her and no one else.
