Is there any major differences between IL2 and DCS for ww2 planes? Getting my setup this weekend but i see theres only like 10 ww2 fighters in the entire game of dcs
IL-2 is for the times that you want to enjoy pure air combat. DCS is for the times that you want to train yourself to steal a WW2 warbird from the museum. Both sims are extremely enjoyable, but they have slightly different focus.
IL-2 Great Battles does it’s own gameplay balance over historic purism, DCS does more of the purism and total control but also has it’s own drawbacks. The IL-2 rendition of the P-47’s were disappointing enough for me to spend $25 for the DCS module on sale and it quickly became the best simulator purchase I have made.
Is this the original IL-2 1946? Or one of the others? I've owned 1946 for over 10 years now and haven't touched it since i first got it and played the hell out of it..

Mouse in left hand, left and right click to lean left and right

easier to control for sure, IL-2 isnt as insanely detailed as DCS in terms of simulation. And there's plenty planes
