Easy Dutch Oven Chicken and Rice Bake -- Perfect For Camping

  • Calling all Dutch oven lovers! Join me as I share one of my family's favorite dishes - a delicious and easy-to-make Dutch Oven Chicken and Rice Bake. Perfect for feeding 4-6 people, this recipe is ideal for your next camping trip or cozy family dinner at home.
    Ingredients:
    4 chicken thighs
    Flour and veggie seasoning
    1 onion, chopped
    3 sticks of celery, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 cup rice
    2 cups chicken stock
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 (8 oz) can of sour cream
    A tad of Worcestershire sauce
    Butter
    Instructions:
    Trim the fat from the chicken thighs and coat them in flour and veggie seasoning. Brown the chicken in a skillet with oil.
    Sauté the chopped onion, celery, and green pepper in the Dutch oven until slightly crispy.
    Mix in the rice, chicken stock, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and Worcestershire sauce.
    Season the mixture with veggie seasoning and place the browned chicken thighs on top.
    Cook in a 10-inch Dutch oven at 350°F, rotating the lid and oven every 8-10 minutes for even cooking.

    I like the recipe but, why would you waste thefond from the skillet that you browned the chicken in?
