Since your first video with Khandro Dechen i have watched all her videos and done her course on Smoke offering. So many things fell into place for me after 41 yrs of practicing Buddhism. I still have my other Teachers but Khandro is the first female teacher i have really followed or taken teachings from. All thanks to you dear Guru Viking!! Thanks so much and can't wait to watch this video xx
I spent a month living with Kunzang Dorje in December 1999 at Tsogyal G Phel Jong. A fraction of the time that you spent with him, and I was not a good student, but it was so important to me. Thank you so much for sharing this. It was fantastic.
Wow what an amazing interview! You ask the greatest questions and you have the greatest ability to allow her to authentically share. Wow!!! Amazing! Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for this follow up to the previous interview with Khandrola! It so precious to have Her and Her masters legacies preserved and widely shared 🙏🏻
I would recommend 'Fallout, recovering from abuse in Tibetan Buddhism' by Tahlia Newland to anyone thinking of getting (or already) involved with this or any other tradition. There are many well documented cases of students being used and abused. Hopefully people can connect with genuine teachings transmitted by genuine teachers.
First time I have known or "met" this teacher. I can see why she made such progress on the path. So much sensitivity, intelligence and resilience. She overcome or "adapted to" a lot of things that would have "put off" or sidetracked many student practitioners (including myself unfortunately 🤔☺). ❤🙏
I remember attending a teaching given by an incredible Tibetan Rinpoche, and he basically said why are Westerners so willing to to follow orders and be people pleasers...he himself was surrounded by students who were all "yes" people..clambering over each other to get near to their teacher... I often wondered if he was hoping to find a student who was able to say "no ! "...
Of course being a student of Vajryana is something else ..but both student and teacher need to tread carefully , especially considering Western attitudes towards what is deemed appropriate when it comes to sexual relationships...maybe this requires a change from the teachers perspective also ....
I love this serie of interviews with her. I wonder if you would be so kind to ask her next time if the tummo and/or tsa lung practice changed something to her auto-immune issues 🙏
I lived in Halifax, N.S., Canada for a decade and knew a few of the rank-and-file Tibetan Buddhists there. They seemed nice enough but their leadership? Not so much. This whole branch of Tibetan Buddhism seems to be quite corrupt with Chogyam Trungpa, his immediate successor and then his son engaging in some seriously degenerate and exploitative behavior. I suppose this is no worse than so many other (all?) religions but I can't help thinking that it is easier for a foreign, alien religion to fall into this kind of behavior because Westerners are very ignorant of the original culture and are not very good at judging wether behaviours are kosher or not. Also, the whole crazy wisdom tradition can be a great rationalization for leaders to behave badly. This is too bad because of all the branches of Buddhism I find the Tibetan branch to be the most interesting. Anyway, I really enjoyed this interview and am greatly impressed by this lady and plan to watch the other interview. You run a great channel with unique content.
Hearing the mention of Trulshik Rinpoche,I was fortunate to attend a series of empowerments that he gave, maybe 20 years ago..and Rinpoche, preparing to initiate the process, started to pick his nose.It must have been a particularly difficult to get to item...because he really went at it...I'm sitting there in disbelief...is he really picking his nose in front of all these people..that's disgusting..couldn't he use a tissue...etc etc ...but of course we all pick our noses..even high Lamas...
It means being a tantric partner to sacred rituals where the energetic system is studied and explored through sex. This is not modern new age tantra but classical tantra. The spouse does not have to be the teacher.
It means you are being used as a sex slave in the name of religion.whybdo you think the dalai lama is a celibate monk AND the highest authority in vajrayana?
@@Red-kw4uu not. It's not. When it is done clean and pure and with the consent of both parties, it is not exploitation and slavery. Note how she describes the gentleness and slowness with which the matter was proposed to her. We must not forget that the spiritual world is not the domain of monks and it also includes 'householders'. Tantra was not born in the Tibetan monastic world and sexual energy has an earthly function as well as a spiritual function. There will always be rabbis, priests and gurus who will take advantage of their position and power and there will always be a minority who know how to quietly and out of the headlines use all the tools of the spiritual path to reach liberation/awakening/enlightenment.
I’ll be honest. I think she was in her twenties very beautiful (and a nun!) when this unfolded. It’s a bit sordid when you peal back the tantric romanticism stuff.
39.00 To use the word "Dalai Lama petitioned" shows how attached she is to her guru. I think it is Milarepa, who said, "Attachment, even to the divine beings, is but Samsaric". The incident, where her guru refused to accept Dalai lama's word, happened because during that time Dalai Lama was still propitiating Dorji Shugdhen (DS) Every Tibetan knows that Chlnese took over Tibet so easily because during that time because of this DS factor there was no unity between ruling Gelug sect and other sects like Nyingma, Sakya, Kagyu. In the name of DS many unholy activities were carried out then. Junior tutor of Dalai Lama used to propitiate DS in a manner Prospero of Shakespeare used Caliban. Moreover, before this tutor passed away he told his numerous students, " After I am gone, you all should take Dalai Lama as your Guru, follow his guidance in every matter. One who doesnot follow this instruction is not my student"

Thank you,
Could you please tell what is the soundtrack in the beginning and in the end?
great pick up line/method by the Lama. Oh, come on, just smile. Great episode, just as the last one with Khandro Kunzang.

Does being a consort mean that someone is having sex with the teacher? I am confused what they are actually talking about.

She had a 16 year old son at the time. I don't think your math adds up.
@@larrym2434 yes, you are right. seducing an attractive 30 something nun with a kid is much better. What was I thinking.
No disrespect but this sounds creepy and very cult like to me
I have my doubts. If she was really a tumo master why couldn't she just generate the heat and unfreeze the cameras.
