Hey Natalie, wonderful images reflecting your journey. My wife and I lost our orange Tabby (Achilles) after 18 years and it was so difficult to start photography again as I recorded his life over the years. I just started again this past May and have a few trips planned to Italy and Mexico in July and August. Everytime I pick up my Leica and favorite 35mm lens, and (this 24-105) I think of him, and now I just smile and remember all the joy he unconditionally gave us. Cheers!!
Thank you so much for sharing your story with me. It sounds like Achilles was a lovely companion - I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you are enjoying your travels and I hope you are still smiling while you use your favourite lenses again. All the best from London xx
Thanks so much for sharing. You got some awesome shots. I especially liked the B&W ones, really nice. I used that lens a lot when I was a Lumix ambassador and I fully agree, it's a super nice general purpose zoom.
Hi Matti! Great to hear from you! Yes, you said it nicely "general purpose zoom". It's an easy lens to default to without feeling like you need to pack an extra one in :)
hello ☺, I just discovered you. Your work looks incredible and you are so endearing I finally found a sincere person who is not there to buy the entire Lumix range. I was just looking at changing my lens, but ultimately I thought the 24-105 was great. Thanks to you I am sure to stay on this objective and continue to work with it. Take care of yourself and thank you again ☺🙏🏻
Hi Julien, thanks for your words :) I think it’s cool you are opting to stick with your lens to push yourself to get more out of it! And Thank you for your compliments- I appreciate them! Here’s to more photos with our versatile lens 🤟
I loved your backgrounds in this video with the orange lighting. Great video on the lumix Nats, some beautiful shots in here, showcasing how much you can achieve with one lens for all round. I’d also like to thank you for your candor in this video about your journey in 2022, this kind of authenticity is hard to find.
I'm so happy you liked the shots I got with the lens you kindly gifted me G!!! Lots to improve on, but it's been a great start to my time with this all-rounder lens :))))
Thank you for this video - this was exactly what I was looking for. I pre-ordered an s5ii body coming from canon DSLR which I sold along with the glass and so I'm starting fresh with no lenses and really wanted to just have 1 all-purpose zoom and call it a day since I travel quite a bit and bringing 3 lenses in the carry-on was getting old. I was already 90% sure this was the lens I wanted but had some questions in the back of my mind still about "what if the 24-70 sigma is better or what if the 28-70 is more travel friendly?" This lens does look very sharp and does very nice highlight roll off for what is usually a line's least-optically perfect lens zoom range. It's also so hard to find just a simple picture of the s5 with the 24-105 in someone's hands just to get an idea of how big it actually is - so thank you for including that as well. I enjoyed your photos - I shoot many of the same sorts of things as an expat living abroad. Loved your interview - it was literally perfectly paced, plenty of examples, you included some nice narrative which helps my adhd brain stay focused, great work - subbing to see what you come up with next!
"bringing 3 lenses in the carry-on was getting old" - I feel that sentiment TOTALLY! I'm so very happy that you enjoyed this video and that you were able to watch it through. I will make an effort to make more videos that follow a story telling style like this one to accompany how I share photos and how I express my opinions on certain photographic tools. I do hope that you can enjoy future videos. Yeah, this lens is a good and suitable all-rounder, especially for travellers. So, if you do end up getting it please do let us know here on the channel. I hope you get the most out of it. ALSO, congrats on taking the plunge to invest in a new camera. That S5ii looks to be a treat!
Thank you Nur! I do shoot more often on FF now that I have the system. But I still shoot MFT at least a few times every week. So I guess I photograph with both. Your Lumix lens is a lovely one.

😅 no me había topado con ninguno de tus videos 😊 Me gusta mucho tu voz y la forma en que cuentas tus historias ❤
Lovely work! I'm contemplating between this or Sigma 28-70 L lens for my S5ii. Mainly doing travel videos. I was wondering how is the low light capability of 24-105 ? I'm new to L mount as I just switched from M4/3.
@@NatalieRosellaBoonzaier I got it with the 70-200mm when I bought my S1R. I struggle with zoom lenses at the best of times and it just couldn't match what I got out of some of my old Nikkor primes (some of which are really stunning, the 135mm f/2.8 in particular). So for pragmatic reasons I sold it and stuck with primes and haven't really looked back. But, we're travelling this year and the 24-105 might stop me futzing with lens swapping all the time :)
Thanks Jesse. I’m glad you liked some of the images. If you could time stamp where one of the images are that you like so I can be sure which you are referring to - i will try remember what I did during the edit! 😅 maybe a can post a demo vid.
I loved every shot, except for the low contrast background for the talking head part of the video. Maybe a conscious decision on finding a look, but maybe not the best for youtube... with low attention, if the video start a little uninteresting it's so easy to find another one. And I am not digging on you or anything... I saw your most recent videos where with more interesting backgrounds, and you are a great photographer... just almost missed because of this social network brain... so glad I was interested in the topic and that enabled me to appreciate your work as a photographer.
I appreciate your input - cheers. I move around a lot and have to make do with the space I get, especially in shared environments. Won’t let a subjectively unexciting space stop me from making a video. Having said that, I’m happy to keep the attention of viewers that are here for the photos and the creative topics. I don’t mind the rest moving on to other videos.
I’m thinking to get a Lumix S5 + 24-105mm for self-portrait photography studio, do you think this is a reliable setup for scenerios where clients will be the one taking their self portrait via remote shutter? Can it track the eye well and how accurate is it for photos? Will it also struggle in group photos on the same studio setup?
Cameras are not so interesting for thieves in South America compared to phones. They are often way more expensive and because of that, way harder to sell. I spent over 4 years in total in Brazil with my cameras, never had someone interested in stealing it. In cracolandia they asked me not to shoot pictures because of the drug trade. But yeah, just use common sense.
Your photos are magnificent! You have a real gift. And your video helped me decide to buy this lens. Thanks.
Oh awesome! Thank you very much - I appreciate that. Well, I hope you enjoy photographing with your lens when it arrives!

Nice video struck by the colours! Thinking of pairing this lens with the sigma fp!
Do it! Great lens for handheld w the fp. The autofocus is decent as well.
Let us know if you go through with it. Would be cool to hear how you like the combo.
Thank you so much for this Vidéo! I will buy 24 - 105 for sure. To travel it's a perfect lens

Hi great video! I feel exactly the same about my 20-60. Panasonic does make some good glass.
I haven’t shot with the 20-60 but it does sound like a great focal range as well ☺️
@@NatalieRosellaBoonzaier it’s actually the reason I bought the S5 LOL. This was before Sony made its 20-70.

Can it track the eye well and how accurate is it for photos?

I think most of that would depend on the space of your studio and the quality of your lighting setup.
Hello! 20-60 or 24-105? Which is better?
Hiya, I haven’t photographed with the 20-60mm before so I can’t say from experience.

Camera theft is common in Peru, particularly in Lima.
