  • The 2008 Redskins were an up-then-down story. Part of the up was their success against the Eagles. Washington won in Philly for the third time in four games with this comeback road victory. After falling behind 14-0 in the first quarter, the Redskins took total control of this game, running off 23- straight points and finishing with a 7+ minute game-ending, clock-killing drive that future Redskins superstar Donovan McNabb and the Eagles offense could only sit and watch from the bench. Hip-hip-hooray, indeed.
Buck and Aikman on the call here for that big-game feel. Not quite Madden/Summerall, but no one ever will be.
Digitally restored from my original DVR to DVD recording with the curtains open and the neighbors watching.

Ah yes the 2008 season. Reeled off wins against the entire NFCEast and we all thought the Redskins were headed deep into the playoffs.
Then the Steelers came to town on MNF. Then the second half of the season happened.
    😞

As an eagles fan, this was a perfect example of why ultimately Andy Reid was fired. We constantly lost games because of him mismanaging the clock and not being able to convert short yardage situations. Offense would go stagnant for long stretches

Chris Horton was a big dude! I remember him really developing to be elite! Hope all is well with him.

"Washington is the baddest football team, too hot to touch, the whole league is talking about us.
Burgundy and Gold (Burgundy and Gold), four in a row!
    We're on a roll-roll-roll-roll-roll-roll-roll-roll.
When Philly scored fourteen and they thought it was a wrap (was a wrap).
Then we came back and gave those Eagle chump a smack! (Hey!)

Yep. We’ll get to it. The DVR ran out before the end but can patch it with a lesser digital copy. Please forgive…

Campbell was a bum but used to show flashes of being decent on occasion. Only problem was that he would do it only once in a while. Another one in a long list of first round QB busts

Campbell was more a victim of the constant OC changes every year.

@@jamalnasir5648I mean idk man compare to the other 20 QBs not named cousins I would of taken him back this year over anyone we had
At least he managed the game well and was mobile for his height
He would of fit what we was doing
