- Troy Aikman and the 6-1 defending champ Cowboys are in search of their 5th straight victory as they travel to Cincinnati to face Jeff Blake and the 0-7 Bengals, who look to pull off an enormous upset.
I was at this game, it was only the second time I had been able to see the Cowboys play, the first at the opposing teams stadium. I kept thinking the Cowboys are going to get it going anytime, but they definitely started worrying me, so glad they were able to pull it out. This is so cool to be able to rewatch this game after all of these years.
O was at this game as well l was 13yrs old it was fun to see that game live loved it...
@@chesterelyjr3854Yeah, I was worried most of the game, was so relieved that they came away with the win!
Kevin Frazier before Entertainment Tonight.
Does anyone remember that David Shula was the Offensive Coordinator for Dallas? Jimmy fired him for Norv Turner.
Barry Switzer was pissed after this game. "With all the talent they got, they oughta be in the playoffs!" -- referring to the Bengals when asked about the Dallas slow start.
This was FOX first season on the NFL. Also a Cowboys game that did not have its # 1 announcing team Summerall and Madden or its # 2 team of Dick Stockton and Matt Millen did not call a Cowboys game on FOX. The Bengals were a below 500 team at that time so a below # 2 announcing team would call this game.
I remember taking my 4 year old to this game. I had just played a flag football game which ended at noon in Middletown. Instead of going back to Dayton to watch game at home I decided last minute to go to Cincinnati...after all we were halfway there.
How ironic that buck and aikman are working together now after buck was the commentator for this game featuring aikman
Who knew??
Interestingly, I believe the only 2 games of Aikman's that Buck ever announced were both in Cincinnati. This game and 1997.
During the whole 1st quarter. U keep hearing someone yell shit after the snaps... Lol.
Did it a few times on the last Cincy drive too😂
I remember this game well! The beginning of the "Shake and Blake" era in Cincinnati. The Bengals were coming off a horrendous loss to the Browns the previous week where the Browns defense knocked their #1 (David Klingler) and #2 QBs (Don Hollas) out for good. That is the only reason why Blake was starting this game; they were down to their #3 QB! Nobody thought they had a chance, especially going up against Dallas! Blake was a complete unknown coming into the game. And he lit Dallas up and didn't look back after this game.
Riverfront was a nice stadium, I like cookie cutter stadiums, or atleast some of them
Sorry they all sucked. From Riverfront to Three Rivers to The Vet
Great upload, Bart.
This game scared me shitless as a cowboys fan
A young Joe Buck?? Who knew??
whats even weirder is ......WHO KNEW the he and the starting QB for the team he is broadcasting about during this game would become one of the longest running and acclaimed broadcasting duos of all time!!!!
Thanks for the upload Bart!
I remember when this game was on they were showing Giants-Lions in my area and when it was 14-0 I was in shock
This era With NFL television coverage explosion and with Cowboys on top of the NFL with their notoriety Every Cowboys opponent was their superbowl not bragging it was just a fact
1st play of both Cinci's 1st 2 drives you hear oh shit😆😆😆😆😆
3rd play of the first drive but still, you can’t not hear it 😂😂

That face ….
It’s like he is extremely greatly relieved
Third string Quarterback Jeff Blake turned out a better quarterback than Dave Klingler and Donald Hollis.
I’m a life long Bengals fan Hollis was guy who would play special teams to get on the field. He was a football player now Klinger he was bust not totally his fault our O Line was terrible Blake could move Klinger couldn’t.
This sure as hell scared Dallas after Jeff Blake got them into the lead. It's amazing that the Bengals could have been better than their record. They had close games, but just couldn't pull it out just like this one. The Cowboys especially the defense were sleep walking and it took 2 quarter for them to wake up. The next week against the Giants the Cowboys tore them a new one.
The Cowboys first-ever win at Cincinnati.
Funny note live long Bengals fan I was 9 years old & wanted a dog. My dad told my brother & I I’ll get you a dog if the Bengals beat the Cowboys. We were like no chance of that happening so my parents are at the game & I’m at my aunts house we were jumping around like crazy in typical fashion the Bengals blew it. So I didn’t get the dog that day but did later in the year.
Joe buck is hands down one of the best voices in the nfl and mlb
He sounded a lot more like his dad in his early career. He’s definitely developed his own style since then.
Watching on mute is better.
team of the decade vs punchline of the decade
Did u see leon lett and russell maryland throw cadigan and brilz around damn
This was the only time in FOX' first three seasons covering the NFL ('94-'96) that Dallas was not the main game in the window they were playing in. It didn't happen again until Week 5 of 1997 when Packers/Bucs bumped Cowboys/Giants as the main game in the early window.
Bengals were the Bungles in the 90s
1997: GB was the defending champs. TB was off to a hot start. They announced their presence with an upset win over SF in Week 1, Young took a beating by the Bucc D, Jerry Rice was lost for the season w/a knee injury
DAL-NYG was NFC East battle between 2 3-2 teams, that game was a shift in the division. NYG ended up winning the division, DAL spiraled out to 6-10 & Barry Switzer resigned/getting fired.
Even on their worst day, the Cowboys were still better than the Bengals.
Only thing missing is Jimmy Johnson.
Joe Buck on the call early in his career before he became obnoxious.
I completely forgot about Jeff Blake.
Scott & Pickens were great WR unfortunately the Bengals just weren’t a good team.
Dallas slowly went down hill after Jimmy was let go. As a cowboy fan Dallas will never make a super bowl as long as Jerry is running things.
And they are still America's team, the most valuable sports franchise in the country. It doesn't matter if they win or not lol
@@clickman443. True but Winning is also part of the Game. 5 Playoff Wins since 1995 is a joke🤢🤢🤢🤢🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿
Dang, Bengals almost won!
Ricky Blake! On this team!
Can you upload the 2015 jaguars and buccaneers game
Kevin Frazier at 0:06 way before he hosted "Entertainment Tonight"
EVERYTHING went wrong for the cowboys this day. 0 chance they could have won the game
2:18 “Eruh shit.”
looks the league was in the waning days of steroid use. damn those bengals looked superhuman.
2016??
The full game is already on UA-cam

@Sean A no need to be rude about it
Joe Buck & Troy Aikman on Fox
Now at ESPN/ABC
somebody has said shit 3 times already

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are very boring announcers there is not much commentator excitement with them.
Since literally No one agrees with that stupid plain wrong comment....go like it yourself and give it a thumbs up. You will be the only one
