  • To answer this question, we have to talk about passive vs. active vocabulary AND what it means to be 'fluent' in a 2nd language.
👉 FREE course ‘Unlocking German Grammar’: free.germanwithlaura.com/beg-hf
We'll also talk about the dangers of the 'sink or swim' method and the comparative benefits of starting out in the 'kiddie pool', building a foundation in German that prepares you for the 'deep end.'
Becoming fluent in German does NOT have to take you years IF you learn in the best ways possible. Want to learn more?

I agree with you Laura, adults can learn faster than children, the problem is that we don't have enough time, you know, work, family, etc.

    Hallo
    Ich möchte dich was fragen.
    Zum Beispiel
    _Ich kann nicht Geschichten erzählen_
    oder
    _Ich kann Geschichten nicht erzählen._
Where should I put _nicht_ when there is a noun+verb combination?
Ich freue mich schon auf deine Antwort.
    LG
