Hey everyone! Had to reupload this one because of some huge editing mistakes I missed last night. First time where I messed up both in the video, and with you guys and I apologize and hope you can still enjoy it as a reupload. Love you guys! I always appreciate how understanding you are 🖤
Dude, fire video as always. If I can suggest- consider wearing something over your hair at night! It’ll prevent excess oils and/or residual hair product from ending up on your pillow cases and ultimately on your face.
Im fighting with acne for 9 months (different ointments, creams) and only now I can see the result, so the last step is post acne. Glad I didn’t take pills. Everything will be fine
I'm not a dermatologist or any kind of professional, I just spend a lot of time on my own skincare. A big thing that could have an impact outside of skincare products would be if you drink milk to try cutting it out for a few weeks to see if it helps. I don't know what kind of products you are using, but if you aren't already using one, a PH balancing toner could be helpful. Also if the products you are using are just meant to try and clear your skin by drying out the acne (like benzoyl peroxide products) you might be better switching your focus to less harsh products that focus on hydrating your skin. A lot of the more old school type acne products (products like the Proactive brand's line) from my understanding just basically try to dry a breakout out, which can help temporarily, but isn't a long-term solution. When our skin is too dry, it can lead to an increase in oil production, which can lead to more acne. So focusing on finding moisturizing products that work well for your skin could be great. I also agree with people who said to make sure you are always using fresh towels. That is just as important as changing your pillowcase. I do disagree with people who say to pop them. That can make breakouts worse and it can lead to permanent acne scarring. Popping anything is best left to a professional. Sorry this is so long, but I love talking about skincare. Lol
Great video as always tristen! It's funny today i was scolling on TT and you popped up on my fyp. I was like hey! He looks familiar! 😄 must be nice to have thick hair😭😂
hey! I also have acne and I tend to break out a lot at times. most of my breakouts are pretty much like yours (blemishes and white heads). usually I use products that contain niacinamide which helps reduce redness and irritation in the skin. other than that, maybe try looking for something with vitamin c or retinol in it. they help even out the skin tone and skin texture.
If you spot treat the areas that cause you pain, they usually subside in a few days and then it takes some weeks for them to fully go away. I sometimes get the cystic acne randmly on my cheeks or face. Spot treating them consecutively for like 4-5 days at night really helps. You need a deep cleansing sulfur mask, but only apply it to the spots that need it. Don’t apply it with your fingers, use a q tip. You can also reduce the redness with eyedrops, like if you got a special event. Just dap them with eyedrops for redness.
Make sure you change your towels and face cloth often also. Other than that just give it time, you will most likely “out grow” your acne. I had the same problems and I did.
3:30 just pop em or put a patch. they go away faster for me and try to keep your hands clean before touching your face. i know it sounds girly but maybe go and get a facial at a good spa, feels good and clears my skin 🤷🏻♀️
You can try an antibiotic for your acne! Mine was like that and doxycycline did wonders for me (it’s a really gentle one). It was prescribed by my dermatologist but you can get it (where I live) without one (I got diagnosed with hormonal acne)
the ONLY thing that cleared my skin was jojoba oil. i massage a good amount into my skin for several minutes before i shower or wash my face. u can get it online or at a health food store
the talk about acne was very relatable went through something similar very recently and my skin has now cleared up so nicely one. went to my dermatologist and got back on tretinoin it’s a very common prescription for acne and it works very well for me:))) doesn’t for everyone though but just though i’d mention it😁😮
hi tristen i had horrible cystic acne on my cheeks for over a year and I overcame it by restricting my "bad" sugar cravings and developing a diet based on anti-inflammatory food (hope this helps)
you should totally cut ur hair, go for it! it’ll grow back anyway, it’ll be easier for ur lifestyle for it to be shorter, it’s good for the soul to cut ur hair short every once in a while
I posted this on the original video, but I saw you had to reupload. This is what I had to say regarding your question about cystic acne: Cystic acne is often caused by hormonal changes, including stress induced hormonal changes. You often say in your videos that you are tired. If you don't get adequate sleep, your cortisol levels become very elevated. Not only is this dangerous to your overall health, it also causes your oil glands to go into overdrive and overproduce sebum, which can lead to increased acne. I know all this from experience. For a long-time, I short-changed myself on sleep, which lead to some real health consequences. Sleep deprivation is no joke, and you have to treat sleep just as seriously as you treat your diet and exercise. I have got much better about my sleep, though I still have the occasional lapse. As far as skincare, be gentle with your skin. Don't use harsh soaps or other harsh chemicals on your face. Use hypoallergenic and sensitive skin products, and look for fragrance free products when possible. Moisturize (you can use an oil-free moisturizer) and wear sunscreen, preferably a mineral based one , rather than chemical sunscreen (since chemical sunscreens tend to irritate your skin). As far as reducing inflation and controlling bacteria on your face, you can use azelaic or salicylic acid serums/treatments. Don't overdo it with these serums, or they can dry out your skin and make your acne worse. Start out using them only twice a week. It is good you are regularly changing your pillowcase. You may want to use those recyclable and disposable cotton face towels (one brand is Clear Skin Club, but there are others) to dry your face instead of the regular big towel you use to dry yourself off after a shower. With bathroom towels, bacteria will start growing on them the first time they get wet and you probably don't change your bath towel everyday. Hopefully, if you try some of these things, it will help to minimize any painful outbreaks.
Dang bro don't take pills unless it's like seriously, seriously bad. The pills are sketchy asf with side effects. My friend tried one of the pills and he ended up with juvenile arthritic joints, skin that started splitting with deep cuts and severe pain in his testicles. See a dermo bro 👍
You should definitely see a dermo about it first, but my experience on acne pills (Accutane) was pretty positive. The only side-effects that I had were some dry skin on my neck and forearms.

if you’re worried about cystic acne see a dermatologist, can you do accutane if you’re comfortable with it

Super insightful!! I’ve gotten a lot of good info about it and yours has helped just as much. I appreciate it thank you
