Thanks to Mountain Hardwear for sponsoring today's video! You can check out all of their gear here: shorturl.at/DshhE. Stoked to try out this gear in a proper storm! Hope you learned something about layering!
You’re the fucking man brah 🤙🏼 Idk how you don’t have more subscribers. Van-builder: check Shreds the gnar on the mountains: check Races Bimmers and wins: check If you added surfing, my god you’d be the GOAT 😂
Mountain Hardwear makes nice stuff. I have those exact same bibs but in black. They are incredible, especially for people who generally run warm. I wear mine with only a base layer underneath because I get hot quickly. Most bibs, even shells, just have too much material for me. These bibs feel like you are wearing nothing, but they keep you warm and dry. They are not cheap, but they are worth every penny.
i could think about something maybe but i dont really do anything to prepare my body for skiing. its a lifelong, year round pursuit of a healthy lifestyle.
Another layering tip: wear a backpack so you can put your mid layer in it if you get too hot or take it out if you get too cold. I’m not always good at nailing it at the car.
I only wear a baselayer and a ski coat for probably 90% or more of my ski days and I'm perfectly fine/warm. Anyone else do this? Only time I'm adding a mid-layer (i.e. 3 layers total) is if it's extremely cold.
everyone is different! a baselayer and a shell jacket wouldn't keep me warm as a baselayer isn't designed to retain body heat and a shell jacket has no insulative properties.
Hey man, long time viewer here. I have to say, i am sad to see how this channel is changing. Back in the day, with the daily videos of adventuring across the country, reporting on so many cool different resorts via Luna, now we are shooting ads on how to dress yourself. I know things have changed with your current life situation, but I think the essence of what made this channel so special is starting to fade away. I hope I am wrong. Best wishes.
you arent wrong. in reality, i dont want to create a career off living in walmart parking lots in a van. it doesn't pay enough money to enjoy the other things i like doing and traveling for me in a van is more stressful than it is fun. uploading daily videos from a 2wd van chasing snow isn't sustainable, in my opinion. i dont blame you for wanting to see that content, but as the one making it, it isn't realistic - just to have my channel go to 0 when march/april rolls around. sponsors are a huge way to earn revenue in this industry. i would hope that long time viewers are happy that I have been able to grow this channel to a place where I can monetize it with brands such as Mountain Hardwear, but I understand your frustration. i've created hundreds and hundreds of videos for free, with no sponsors at my own expense. have a good season.
@ yeah that makes sense and I am happy for you, truly. I guess just sad that things have changed. But everything you say makes sense. I will adapt to the changes and continue to support!

Haven’t watched in awhile. But going from a dope snow sponsor to a mountain hardware one is a big W
Was looking into getting a new ski jacket and mountain hardware was a brand I was looking at!!! I’d love an updated video of seeing how it performs!
definitely! there will be more to come on this set after I use it more!
More free swag! Awesome Lucas!
haha thanks shawn!
Great video! Can you make a video on how you prepare your body and what you eat before and during skiing?
i could think about something maybe but i dont really do anything to prepare my body for skiing. its a lifelong, year round pursuit of a healthy lifestyle.
@ aha. You do any pre ski stretching?
Should be an epic pow day soon in Utah soonish. i'm gonna fly there from California for the epic snowbird snow!
its been good the past few days, but high winds and warm temperatures have really elevated avalanche danger.
@@LucasCatania17 oh
dose the patrol do avalanche control like in tahoe?
So happy for u dude, I just picked up the armada touring bibs so I'm hyped. Will you purely be rocking mountain hardware now? they look sick.
How do you feel about the strike at park city?
That gym membership has been working 💪
Hell yes! 🔥
Mountain hard wear FTW🏔️🎉

I need a new bib, and there is actually a Nz website and the prices are pretty reasonable. Look forward to seeing how you like them.
likewise brother!
Does that mean you won't be using the Armada gear anymore?
no! theres no exclusivity or anything like that. im free to use what i want!
Noted im going to aspen😂
nice have fun dude!
Does this mean there’s gonna be more backcountry content??
no there wont be any backcountry content outside of heli skiing!
You’ve gotta go hit up basin they are getting dumped with snow and the trees are nice right now
Everyone getting dumped on in Utah brother
Are you sponsored this season by them?
