That's something you always double, if not triple check before doing. Good he did find out, checked her on it, and left.
I disagree that it's something you should double check. You're supposed to trust your spouse, if you double check what they tell you, you absolutely do not trust them, and if you don't then why the f are you married with them ?
Honestly, even if she'd been telling the truth about having gotten permission to make the announcement at the party, if I was her husband I don't know if I'd be comfortable doing such a thing anyways?? There's no reason to make an announcement like that at _someone else's_ celebration. I'd still encourage her to wait until after.
Grief from unable to conceive is very real and shouldn't be underestimated. Breaking the news while knowing some family member still trying for MUCH longer is a struggle by itself. It's still better to be cautious even if they said they were child-free.

Honestly, OP keeping her feeling bottled up and stressing herself out is contributing to her not getting pregnant. The more stressed you are, the less likely you are to get pregnanat. That's why babies are often conceived on vacation, you finally relax.
she couldve annouced literally the next day after the party but instead she wanted an audience and using Op's anniversary was fine in her book because in her head at least shes knocked up.
In theory, REALLY HEAVY THEORY it could work if they were sisters/twins, and the struggle were on their family side. When asked and getting premission to annouce it, it could be like "hey look, I did get through and got pregnant, so just stay strong and you will also get your kid!", but it depends on their dynamic. More logically when OP was upset and didn't want to think about it at all, was she would also get upset, even mad because her sister got pregnant, and she can't? Unfair! So yeah, there are one digit examples where it could go right, but milions of scenarios where it's just petty and mean
I can’t believe that some people actually have the audacity to hijack other people’s celebrations and make it about themselves! If you don’t have permission to do so then don’t do it!

I don't understand why such behaviour is being not only tolerated but also endorsed
How dare OP steal Jenny's thunder at OP's anniversary party.. like what.?! Announce your pregnancy at your own party. Not someone else's. The gaslighting is real with those peeps.
I may have missed it, but I think no one else pointed out that the meeting SIL wanted to only be between her brother and her (certainly not involving OP) ended up being an attempt at reconciliation with the couple (a matter that really should involve OP)? Was she expecting her brother to forgive her on behalf of OP? That sure doesn't look like a sincere way to apologize to me
I swear I heard this story before or one very much like it with more happening at the end. Jenny actually wasn't pregnant at all and did all that for attention and since her husband left her she had no way of actually having a kid so to save her ass from the parents she got pregnant from some random guy and pretended it was the husbands but ends up caught in the lie and lost everything.
You mean it's some sort of urban legend? But at least your version makes some sense other than Jenny's husband leaving while pregant over her lying to his SIL, that seems far fetched.
"Anniversaries come every year but she can announce her first pregnancy only once." Um, then how about: *making that announcement at YOUR OWN ANNIVERSARY! HELLO????!!!!!!*
The fact that OP isn't close to her parents and yet her parents can say what Jenny did is messed up and said they'd be there for her (eventho it's most likely just lip service) puts into perspective how shitty and horrible the MIL SIL and FIL are

Bruh a lot of people saying op was "dramatic" or was "petty", However i disagree, op and op's husband's reaction was a thousands times, better then most people who would have been in that situation, Because like op said she could have kicked Jenny out or yeet something at jenny etc etc, but naw op removed herself and went to the bathroom to calm down after jenny announced her pregnancy at op's anniversary party, Jenny did this to herself and put her unborn in this situation point blank period, Jenny knew about op and op's husband's fertility struggles, Jenny went out of her to announce her pregnancy without permission at op's & op's husband's anniversary party, Played victim when the family started to verbally attack op and op's husband, jenny not even once try to stop the family from doing so, And the cherry on top of situation jenny intentionally lied to her own husband about getting permission from op and op's husband to announce her pregnancy at the anniversary party, when she didn't, Seriously jenny knew exactly what she was doing, and her husband (well soon to be ex-husband) was rightfully disgusted with her and don't, want to be with someone like that anymore and i don't blame him nor do i blame him for trying to get full custody, Because Jenny took steps do something messed like this, And allowed op & op's husband to be attacked as Jenny comfortably sat back & watched it happen, and no matter which way you look at it that behavior ain't normal.
Might be wrong but seeing many comments with similiar info, it seems they are saying OP was dramatic over not getting a child in 8 months (where it should be troublesome after 2 years? I think?) instead of her reaction to what SIL did.
Jenny is so wrong, an anniversary is a set date that can not be changed. An announcement can be told at ANYTIME before said event happens.... so yes, dick more as she CHOSE to share it on an established day AND at somebody else's event

If/when OP does have kids, the inlaw wont be allowed to be grand parents. Add to the fact that the future ex will probably go NC with them as well, and the inlaws will have no grand kids to spoil.
I see that Op is a bit Dramatic for this but I think SIL still doesn't have the authority to make announcement like that in their anniversary. Also SIL's husband wouldn't divorce her only for this reason... there would be more inside marriage problems for divorce to be a result.
@@MrADI-sp2kh 8 months is like 8 possible days. When people get pregnant from one night stand and in general, everyone makes it look easy, it might make people more stressed they are doing something wrong (like OP said they were)
OP was only dramatic about her conception struggles, and likely not on purpose, rather by lack of knowledge about how much time the average couple needs to successfully conceive. Which is the reason why she needed someone to talk to. To maybe have someone tell her this is normal, that nothing is wrong with her. Can't blame her for that, it's not like she was casting the blame on someone who had nothing to do with it, even on someone who did, for that matter. Her and her husband's reaction to SIL, on the other hand, was more than justified, if anything they underreacted. You don't spit in the face of someone who trusted you at their lowest for the sake of being a terrible person. If her attempt at "cheering up OP" had the opposite effect, it's a failure on SIL's end and no one else's.
I understand OP, as my husband and I are trying for a baby as well for the past several years. It hasn't gone well. He's fine, it's me. I just did my last round of IUI before seeing what the problem is, as my OBGYN recommended. Keeping my fingers crossed for this one.
I listen to things like this where OP's parents are so unconnected, and I can't help but hear Harry Chapin's "Cat's in the Cradle" run through my head. They'll want OP someday, and OP will probably say something like "I'll give you the attention you gave me growing up" then hang up.
So we’re supposed to believe that SIL’s husband DIVORCED his pregnant wife, that he’d been married to for a few months, because she upset OP? And that OP and her husband are such spineless, terrible people that they believe this is an appropriate reaction? And of COURSE he gets custody of the child, because SIL is CLEARLY an evil monster? Oh my God? I can’t believe the comments are agreeing with this load of tosh 😂😂
Probably this wasn't the first BS he went through with her. Why should he stay with a toxic person for life. Its not like he wants to leave her with the child either, he wants the custody.
Exactly. And the part that he's filing for full custody of his and his ex-wife's unborn child? In what universe would a judge approve of that? In case of the majority of divorces, the mother gets to be the main caretaker of the child and/or the custody is shared between the parents. The only case when the mother can lose every custody is if she seriously endangers the child, eg. alcoholism, drugs, physical abuse. None of which are true of "Jenny", as far as the post goes. Not to mention thatJenny's and her husband's child HAS NOT EVEN BEEN BORN yet. How would that even work? Would there be some legal person waiting at a delivery room and take away the newborn child from the mother just after she's given birth? And for what reason? Because she had been mean to someone? That's not how the real life works at all. Nobody can take away a newborn from their mother just like that without some very serious reason, and "she was an asshole to her brother's wife" isn't sufficient for that. This reddit post is a load of BS. Just a lengthy fake text from someone who doesn't know much about how marriage, divorce or child custody works.
OP said "I hope (that happens)", not that it was actually happening lol. The OP directly states they dont know if they got divorced or anything else in relation to that. @sdhng5441

I wish nothing but the best for OP. If it helps, my parents struggled to conceive as well. No issues, it just didn't happen. It took them 2 years of trying before I came along. And what is with the villians spouse taking their word for it at SOMEONE ELSE'S event to announce something?
True especially when all the insensitive aunts always ask "when will it be your turn"?
This family needs to learn the meaning of 'emergency'
Yeah imagine wasting your day off for something like this, you could have used it on a nice trip
💯👍🏿
Jenny sounds like she’s used to being the center of attention and op took some of her shine when she married her brother so it’s payback time.
Seems like the parents are the reasons why their daughter is such an attention whore...Bruh, imagine getting mad at the people whose party you were upstaging. They sound like those parents who beg for their kids to be the blow candles on someone else's cake...
When the MIL said OP “stole” Jenn’s thunder and she is jealous I had to laugh at that 😂 that makes NO sense…it is OP and her husband’s day, THEIR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, THEIR PARTY and they are the hosts, “jenny” is a guest, she “STOLE” that thunder from them, if anything she is being insensitive to OP and her husband
"I can only announce my first pregnancy once." Yeah, but why at that party? Make your own party.
Seems like she might be doing this on purpose to intimidate you.
And it backfired spectacularly.
It's unhinged jealousy against someone that didn't do anything to her. She's just psychotic.
Honestly, OP keeping her feeling bottled up and stressing herself out is contributing to her not getting pregnant. The more stressed you are, the less likely you are to get pregnanat. That's why babies are often conceived on vacation, you finally relax.
please shut up.
8 months is nothing... she should have sx in a public place, she'll get pregnant in a second
I hope you aren’t blaming her. Her situation is a understandable one
@@Silencer796 I think they're are just sharing a bit of a fact that OP or other people may not know.
@@Silencer796don't know how you got blame from that unless you're intentionally trying to stir things up like OP's SIL but whatever
Regardless she shouldn’t have announced it at their party. She wanted the attention on her.
she couldve annouced literally the next day after the party but instead she wanted an audience and using Op's anniversary was fine in her book because in her head at least shes knocked up.
Is she even knocked up?
@@NickM_FirstofHisName it’s scummier if she faked it and very pathetic
"Stolen her thunder,"
Ma'am your daughter announcement has stolen the thunder from your son and daughter in law anniversary celebration.
NTA how would that be good news for someone who's been struggling to get pregnant
Good on the SIL’s husband for calling her out for being a duplicitous witch and taking actions to bring karma unto her.
The World's Smallest Violins 👌🏻🎻👌🏻🎻👌🏻🎻👌🏻🎻👌🏻 for SiL
😂😂😂
I can’t believe that some people actually have the audacity to hijack other people’s celebrations and make it about themselves! If you don’t have permission to do so then don’t do it!
Both OP's husband and SIL's husband are absolutely amazing!
This has the same energy as proposing at someone else's wedding. You just dont do that
Can we just all start to "booo" all the losers who do that sort of things?
Its someone anniversary and you say you pregnant? Don't congratulate and ostracize for being cheap and self-centred... Someone propose on someone wedding? Booo them, ignore them and make sure they don't feel welcome on the party anymore...
I don't understand why such behaviour is being not only tolerated but also endorsed
How dare OP steal Jenny's thunder at OP's anniversary party.. like what.?!
Announce your pregnancy at your own party. Not someone else's. The gaslighting is real with those peeps.
Sil deserves all of what happened 😂
I may have missed it, but I think no one else pointed out that the meeting SIL wanted to only be between her brother and her (certainly not involving OP) ended up being an attempt at reconciliation with the couple (a matter that really should involve OP)? Was she expecting her brother to forgive her on behalf of OP? That sure doesn't look like a sincere way to apologize to me
She probably expected her brother to be more sympathetic to her plight and was hoping he'd agree to "talk" to OP and convince her to forgive Jenny
@@elsie8757 Exactly. She planned to not apologize to OP at all and still expected forgiveness 🤷
I'd say the problem is she clearly only wanted to "apologize" so her husband wouldn't leave her. In other words she isn't actually sorry
Holy shit. That is twisted asf. Narcissism on an other level. Makes you wonder what exactly her resentment towards OP.
You mean it's some sort of urban legend? But at least your version makes some sense other than Jenny's husband leaving while pregant over her lying to his SIL, that seems far fetched.
Oh I think I heard that as well, ut was definetly a different story though, I think she announced it at their wedding or something like that.
"Anniversaries come every year but she can announce her first pregnancy only once."
Um, then how about: *making that announcement at YOUR OWN ANNIVERSARY! HELLO????!!!!!!*
that backfired like an absolute bullet, and im here for it 🤗
impact is more important than intent! it doesn’t matter if jenny didn’t mean to hurt OP and husband or not because she *did*
The fact that OP isn't close to her parents and yet her parents can say what Jenny did is messed up and said they'd be there for her (eventho it's most likely just lip service) puts into perspective how shitty and horrible the MIL SIL and FIL are
Honestly ops husband is such a keeper I need a man like this ☹️
Husband and future Ex-BIL are the MVPs.
I really hope FIL and MIL being excluded from everything meanwhile they are dealing with a depressed PoS that is going to pay child support for 18 years straight.
This was a disgusting thing to do on Jenny's part. But especially since she not only knew about OP's dilemma, but had comforted her a few days earlier. 😞
She's just heartless. Why would she do that??
This is the same as proposing at someone else’s wedding without permission. Scummy if you don’t ask for permission
Props on OP's husband for being a genuininly kind, nice and loving and sticking up for his wife instead of blindly defending his sister
The family seriously called a meeting because she wasn't congratulated for making a announcement at someone else's party. WTF?!?!? That was no reason to call a meeting. But at least it backfired on SIL.
must be really young people. i am 42 and if my parents just demanded my family come over to discuss something without further details i would just say "no can do" and stay away. i am the head of my own family and stand on the same footing as my parents.
I would at least expect them to tell me whats the "emergency" and I would come over in the evening after work, not waste a day off on BS

Stolen HER thunder?!?! When SHE announced her pregnancy at her SIL'S party! What?!?!?! Jenny is the thunder stealer!
even if op and her husband weren’t struggling to conceive, jenny is an AH for announcing something about herself at someone else’s celebration. they could’ve done that on their own time
Bruh, the BIL knew and booked it out of there cause staying with horrible people never ends well. Sure, you're not their current victim but how long will that last?
I am a little surprised at how something SO SIMILAR happened in my family, except no one got divorced, everyone has kids (I'm adopted) and we're all happy.
Bruh a lot of people saying op was "dramatic" or was "petty",
However i disagree, op and op's husband's reaction was a thousands times, better then most people who would have been in that situation,
Because like op said she could have kicked Jenny out or yeet something at jenny etc etc, but naw op removed herself and went to the bathroom to calm down after jenny announced her pregnancy at op's anniversary party,
Jenny did this to herself and put her unborn in this situation point blank period,
Jenny knew about op and op's husband's fertility struggles,
Jenny went out of her to announce her pregnancy without permission at op's & op's husband's anniversary party,
Played victim when the family started to verbally attack op and op's husband, jenny not even once try to stop the family from doing so,
And the cherry on top of situation jenny intentionally lied to her own husband about getting permission from op and op's husband to announce her pregnancy at the anniversary party, when she didn't,
Seriously jenny knew exactly what she was doing, and her husband (well soon to be ex-husband) was rightfully disgusted with her and don't, want to be with someone like that anymore and i don't blame him nor do i blame him for trying to get full custody,
Because Jenny took steps do something messed like this,
And allowed op & op's husband to be attacked as Jenny comfortably sat back & watched it happen,
and no matter which way you look at it that behavior ain't normal.
Might be wrong but seeing many comments with similiar info, it seems they are saying OP was dramatic over not getting a child in 8 months (where it should be troublesome after 2 years? I think?) instead of her reaction to what SIL did.
@ritaerror7829 hopefully that's what they meant, because if that's the case yeah op and her husband did jump the gun on that part.
Jenny is so wrong, an anniversary is a set date that can not be changed. An announcement can be told at ANYTIME before said event happens.... so yes, dick more as she CHOSE to share it on an established day AND at somebody else's event
As someone who's been in the infertility struggle, 8 months trying with no results is no big deal
nice to see I wasn’t the only one with that thought. Isn’t 2 years about average? 🤔
You having this problem is a blessing, imagine a child born to someone so unempathetic
i hope you're saying this in an uplifting way and not a "pain Olympics" way
@@Greyraesshe definitely sounds like that way. 🥲

Best reaction ever. My only regret was I wish you told me how her faced looked. But hands down BEST story EVER!!!!
I found it hard to focus on the story at some points because of whatever graft settings are turned on😭 I got a headache and got dizzy looking at it
I will say what op did was petty but valid jenny new what she was doing and she got what she bargain for.
If I was OP, I would’ve told the parents to begin with so the SIL wouldn’t have gotten away with telling the announcement
The Bil saw how scummy his wife and unlaws were and bailed as fast as he could!
Dont you just love it? 😂😂😂😂
And the best part? If/when OP does have kids, the inlaw wont be allowed to be grand parents. Add to the fact that the future ex will probably go NC with them as well, and the inlaws will have no grand kids to spoil.
I see that Op is a bit Dramatic for this but I think SIL still doesn't have the authority to make announcement like that in their anniversary. Also SIL's husband wouldn't divorce her only for this reason... there would be more inside marriage problems for divorce to be a result.
OPs a bit dramatic? How?
As for SILs hubby,it was said that they had been having other problems. Her stunt was his last straw.
8 months for conceiving is less, for many it take about a year
But ya SIL was the AH though after watching whole video
Should have talked to a therapist if you were so burdened by fertility worries. Also, love it when couples announce they're raw dogging it.
I doubt he's divorcing her over just that. It was a lack of manners to announce her pregnancy at your birthday, regardless of your personal struggles.
If you’re under 30 most fertility clinics won’t see you until it’s been a year
Jenny's husband probably thinks she's cheating and the baby isn't his.

Sil is a real pos. Husband divorcing her is karma at its finest.
FINALLY SOMEONE WITH COMMON SENSE 😂 this video was mildly believable until that part, it feels like some weird revenge fanfic
@sdhng5441
@@earedrobot7906right? They always have to take it a step too far!

It's weird, when you're not trying to have a kid, it seems like you get pregnant immediately, but the second you WANT a kid, it takes FOREVER.
I.want to remind everyone that friends are meant ro support you.they may not be therapists but they can still help you feel less alone.

NTA. Taking yourself aside in your own home to deal with a highly emotional trigger is not now, nor will it ever be a TA move.
Being pregnant does not give you the ticket to be an asshole to another person, especially if they are struggling with conceiving.
Struggling for 8 months is very normal. Stressing over it isn't helping.
They probably didn’t know that tho. They probably saw lots of couples get pregnant almost immediately and when it didn’t happen for them, OP started panicking, which made it worse

Wait why is BIL coming out unscathed? He may not have known about OPs convo with Jenny but he still highjacked their anniversary to make the pregnancy announcement
Did... you finish the video? Jenny told him that she had permission (she didn't), so he thought it was okay- which, it would have been if they actually had permission.
