It's hilarious how many people don't know how to use those levers. Just spoke to someone who was complaining how they couldn't tighten something on a tripod as the camera was in the way of the lever. I blew their mind!
Good to see a review of this 5 months after the first release rush. Apparently, the control box has some holes on the bottom that can allow grinding residue to infiltrate and fubar things. You may want to take a look at that if you haven't already done so. On a related matter, keeping that adjacent buffer covered when using the 2x42 can prevent cross-contamination. Or just keep it covered always when not in use. One of these is on my wishlist now.
I was sold on this until 90% of the reviews said the motors burn up fast. Hopefully they fixed the issue because it's perfect for an amateur knife maker like me.

You ever end up getting one? I'm in the same boat as you and was wondering if they fixed them.
How has yhe motor been? Ive read reviews about them fauling almost immediately.
Is it reversible? Meaning motor going in reverse?
Have you replaced the soft plastic platen base with G10 yet? The stock piece works for bevels but something harder would be better.
I wonder if that machine can take a 1.5hp motor? Make it stronger.
That would take the metal right off of a blade . Great idea!
