I'm relearning to sew after a stroke and was excited to find out that I can use my serger for quilting projects. Thank for explaining everything in a way that was highly accessible.
I put together a stack of pretty batik layer cakes w my serger to make quick curtains for my apt windows. Never thought it would work but it was so easy and actually came out w straight seams. I pressed the seams to the side and top stitched them to a cotton backing. 🙄
I understand how to sandwich them together but after you get each row done how do you connect them to each other. Could you please add a video for that step. Thank you. And you are a great teacher on the step by step method thanjs
Wondering if you only used one thread and one needle on the serger would it then work like a normal sewing machine? I only have a serger don’t own a sewing machine and would like to start quilting.
i don't think that it would. you can get mor precision with a sewing machine. sewing machines can also be cheaper than sergers. I would look for a second hand mechanical sewing machine if you wanted to quilt

Hi. I was wondering the same because once the squares are joined you wont be able to flip them over
I think the squares shown here represent the almost-full-quilt lengths shown in the 1 Hour Serger Quilt video.
