Removing the Dash on the RSX- Manual Conversion

- In this video, I save the best for last. I was nervous about this part of the build but it actually wasn't hard at all to do. I removed the Dash in the RSX so that I could swap out the auto harness to the manual harness.
Was it necessary to pull out the dash? That looked like a tedious process 😅

I need help I took the motor and tranny outta a 2003 ep3 with the wiring and everything and put it in my rsx that was a auto ....I got everything hooked up but when I turned the key noting happens

I did this to my rsx without changing any of the harnesses... but now i think i have to change the dash and the engine harnesses because i am tired of not having reverse lights, speed sensor reading etc.. i never cared about those but now i do because i need to get it tuned...(i suck with wiring btw)...
Hoping when i put the the dash harness in it fixes all these lil issues without me splicing too many wires
I feel you lol. The dash harness will take car of the neutral safety switch, and cruise control. Also it will know the car is in neutral since the automatic harness is looking for the car to be in park. As for the engine harness, I just extended the speed sensor so mine works. I still have to wire up reverse lights, I miss having those too lol. For that I was just going to use the existing wires from the extra plugs. I was going to just fine which pin out they go to and wire it to those wires under the hood side. Hopefully that takes care of it.
What engine harness you running again?
I'm using the auto harness still that came with the car
Wow good job, I would be nervous too! I'd certainly tackle the gearbox before the dash

Upper Dashboard Harness
Engine Harness
Interior Floor Wiring Harness
Charge Harness
2) - Second question is, can it be OEM or Ebay brand ?
3) - Thirdly, does it matter if it is a Base or a Type-S ?
4) - I have a 2003 Base, can the harness be '02-'04 or '02-'06

Hey man you did great, so I have a 06 base model converted auto to manual, I changed the engine harness to a 5 speed base model. Do I need to change the dash harness on it still, or is there a way to rewire some of the dash wires to make everything work?

Thanks man! That's awesome! There's probably a way to rewire things for the dash harness but I wasn't sure what had to be done I found it easier just to replace the dash harness. Everything was plug and play that way

@@bobbychristensen5290 my speedometer, my car is an 06 but the tranny I put on is an 03 and the speed sensor changes.
Can a 03 rsx type s dash harness fit in a 2004 base that was converted to manual but still has original auto harness in?
The type s harness is different from the base. You can use it if you're running the type s engine.

You should be good with the type s harness then. Not sure if there's a difference between the two generations of the type s (02-04/05-06)
Manny, after intalling the K-tuner, who re-flashed your ECU to the MANUAL config?
Do you have a picture of the wiring behind the dash I kinda forgot to take pictures when I took the dash harness I was able to put it back but Im not sure if its the right plug.
do you really have to change to a manual harness bro? if I get ktuned on the auto ecu and just cut the wiring on the solenoids and extend the speed sensor wires would it work?
Is a bracket needed for clutch pedal? Or just bolts on, wasnt sure if firewall would flex when pressing pedal
The clutch pedal does have another bolt on top of the pedal, you could fabricate a bracket. I didn't, seems to be ok. Doesn't seem to flex. But I do have a stock replacement Exedy Clutch. Might want the bracket if your going with a stiffer clutch.

Don’t know if it is still active but I want to do a full Type S conversion including the engine, should I just find any year Type S Dashboard or run the same year
What harness would i need ? Just a whole under dash harness?
