Yet another reason why soccer sucks.
Why are soccer fans getting bent out of shape over Rome's comments?They're funny & It's not like he's lying about soccer. Do soccer players fake injuries? YES! Do fans riot at soccer games? Yes! Do soccer fans shout racists slurs to black players? YES! Rome is pointing out the problems that plague soccer & adding comedic effect to his argument (FYI his kids play soccer). Anyway, just because something is popular doesn't make it the best.

@Gerttervill1 u got it rong, i was tryin 2 be sarcastic to someone, they said everyone has heard the stat about the world cup being the most watched sport in the world a million times, nd i was tryin to ask him y these people still go aroundd saying things like the superbowl will have a billion people watching, even though it is mils behind the world cup in terms of the amount of people who watch it

@LifeIsPeachee its a bit unfair 2 say its cos of the sport rather then the pple of the country just being fucked, i meen u wnt see that in american sports, not cos the sports are sensibale but cos the fans r, look at the difference between american basketball fans and some european(mainly eastern) basketball fans, their behaviour,good or bad, is not due 2 their sport but rather 2 the people and thier culture, wat u said makes it sound like every1 who likes soccer thinks and acts exactly the same

Super Bowl - while NFL executvies claim it is watched by over 1 Billion people worldwide, it has been researched and shown that 93 million people watched the game in 2005. 98%of this audience was in the United States.
World Cup - the most widely viewed and followed sporting event in the world. This has to do with its worldwide appeal and the fact that it only comes around every four years. 1.1 billion watch the final game.

On average, 715 million watch the world cup final. Only about 100 million watch the superbowl every year. Just think about that for a second.
