Fantastic guide! Covered a lot on Rashid overall. I picked up learning Rashid a few months ago and then dropped him to focus more on improving my Poison. I've gone back to learning Rashid again recently and I've improved with him more now. After watching this guide this morning it's given me a few things that I think I could concentrate on and try to apply in order to take my Rashid to the next level. Thank you!

bought sf5 last night, went thru the trials found rashid to be the most fun along with laura so im just here hopefully this is good for a beginner like me

Thanks for the guide Mura. I decided to learn Rashid because Kolin is not likely to return in SF6 and his redesign looks really good. It was a good change of pace learning a rushdown character because I tend to play defensive and neutral type of characters for most of the SFV lifespan. I felt like he required less work than Kolin to win. I made it to Diamond in about a month on a new account with Rashid following this guide. He does require a lot of optimisations at higher gameplay because of his low damage output (with the exception of corner combos) but I'm probably not going to pursue it as I want to learn on how to play on hitbox before SF6 releases.
Hey MC Mura!! Just one question about the combos and setups; In the first combos starting the video can Rashid still connect jumping back medium punch after the ex spike or ex v skill2 to extend the juggle? I’m trying really hard to get yo get it but can’t make it work. Thanks a lot, I’m a new fan of your videos!!
@@MCMuraFGC Basically just say what's the use of that combo. Like "this is the most damaging one", or "this has the most corner carry out of all 0-bar combos" etc.
I cant get normal tornados to cancel into roll - only ex. Was that a recent change to the character? Canceling normal tornados into vskill2 works fine for me tho.
LP mixer is your answer. If it is blocked, it is -2 and it leaves you close enough without being threatened by their throw. If it hits, you are plus and you get to pressure them.

Google Street Fighter Terminology so you can better understand what he is saying. Juggle/Poke/Punish/Whiff etc. I don't expect new players to understand those terms either, but you need to learn the language to play the game. It's the same for FPS games or League of Legends Quickscope, Gank, CDR, BHop, etc. Basically get good and apply yourself.
I don't know where you're from or what accent you have but I feel like Rashid himself is explaining and that's really cool

You can only get the jumping medium punch when you are in VT2, doesn't work normally.

LP mixer is your answer. If it is blocked, it is -2 and it leaves you close enough without being threatened by their throw. If it hits, you are plus and you get to pressure them.
