*MY CATS ARE BOTH RESCUES! Always consider RESCUING over BUYING an animal!!
how have i never thought of putting a pillow on my lap to make it more comfy to hold the book...... i’m so shooketh right now it’s like a new world of possibilities has opened up to me
LOL GLAD I COULD HELP 🤣
((I want you to know I laughed so hard at this cause it was so pure🤣))
❤️
I like this annotation method. I'm gonna do the circle names thing. Please make this a series.
Yes!! Listening to your comments on the first chapter made me want to read the book!! We get a taste of the story
A series! Brilliant! Yes please!!
I'll say Crime and Punishment is like the first psychological thriller.
Like lots of things are happening just inside Rodia's head.
1000000% for awhile i could almost get lost just wondering about how overwhelmed Rodia was.
This is by far the best annotation video I've ever seen, this is how we annotaded in uni in all my Lit classes. I don't know if the distincion is that you are an Literature scholar but other booktubers annotation methods are not like this, this is my preffered method.
I find it fascinating to watch other people annotate because I rarely do. My head is usually pretty into the story when I read so I don't analyze at all or pay attention to little details. But when it comes to certain lit like classics, maybe I should give it a try...
I would love another one for annotating your reread, especially a spoiler-filled one. Maybe kind of like a vlog?
I’m reading Frankenstein for the first time and it’s the first book I’ve ever thoroughly annotated, I’m so glad that early on, I’ve already found a method that I’m comfortable with :)
I’m about to read frankenstein! How did you annotate it?
@@heldana8654 I have a video about exactly that!
Samee!
I started to read this book years ago but couldn’t get into it, but listening to your annotation of the book makes me want to read it, thank you, please continue with this line of video, most helpful
This is really fun to watch!!! (and is probably the most informative vid on annotating out here, but i might be biased because i really love your content 😅) I only started annotating last year and it really made a positive impact on how I read. I love how you encircle proper nouns and to take note of the places and names - I would definitely try that out on the next book that I'll be reading!
This is so interesting.
Your annotation video is the first that makes sense to me.
Would love to watch if this continues as as series
Thank you so much for the effort and visible discomfort you went through for this video. 😆😊 I really enjoyed this! It's informative and relaxing, I will be coming back to it frequently. Thanks again Kate, hope you're doing well. 🤗
Probably the most awkward but informative video I've ever done 🤣
umm pause wtf. this is the first video of yours that ive ever seen and hold...my...beer like what?! youre grasp on things is so funny and honesty so vibey. Also were reading (assuming you finished it) one of the best classic mental thrillers out there? I subbed so quick im kind of embarrassed haha
Ahh i really like this video!! Haha all of this was common sense to you but i definitely did not think to annotate some of that stuff 😭 like simply circling character names makes so much sense 🤦🏻♀️
I stg it's from YEARS of annotating for school 😂 my brain just works like this now
@@murakamireads i absolutely love this because it gives me ideas on how better to read.
edit: and write!
This was one of the most informative videos I’ve seen on YT. Thanks for doing it.
That cat is a pure beauty!!!!!
This is awesome , i never seen any booktuber talk about this👍
I absolutely loved this video. I’m looking forward to adding a few of the annotation ideas to my own reading process.
Very helpful. Thank you. I am majoring in English also, so I want to try this method to see how it works. When you said “Bleak House,” I got the shakes, lol. Just read that last semester.
Thank you 🤓☕
For taking us by the hand.
I cant believe that she tackled Karamazov before Crime and Punishment. I read C&R and bought all of Dostoevsky the very next day.
Please do more of these!
I use my book journal for quotes as it has separate sections for those and reviews and lists of books and dates so I don't have to mark the book in ANY WAY! . I didn't even write in my Uni Books as they were so beautiful and I didn't wand to destroy them.
Your voice is lovely!
I think this would be a fun series!
I love how you do things in your book Kate
Omg this has my nerdy butterflies fluttering. What books/authors would you say is the best for annotating?
please make this a series
i annotate my books 2hours after midnight with my favorite cigar and whisky.
I useually don’t annotate my book because I useually give it away to charity or donations once iv read them, I always buy them new and I was always thought never to deface a book, but I have throne of glass and the storm light archive and Mistborn and their good books, I do whant to start to annotate them but it would be my first time and I’m a bit windy of doing it but I whant to and I know I have to dump them, and I know I can’t keep them because we or I don’t have enough room for more if I do keep them and keep adding them, so maybe I should just dump them after I have read and annotated them?
i absolutely love this video, for the record.
I love this video !!!!
thanks from Chile Kate !! :)
Please read and review the other two Dostoevsky famous work, Notes from The Underground and Devils. I want to hear your opinion on the books.
Planning on it 👍🏻
@@murakamireads nice. Looking forward to it
This video was so entertaining and informative! I really would love to see more of these type of videos!! (including different annotation methods you mentioned!!) You inspired me to reread some of my favorite books and annotate it! I'm currently reading Kafka on the Shore btw :) and I came across Haruki Murakami through your channel so ☺️
This was a fantastic video!
Your cat are so cute

YOU HAVE A GHOSTTTTTT 3:47
Well, ya helped me. Thank you!~ :)
Random question.. was it weird editing this? Like seeing yourself as your reading?
SO weird yes 😂
You can be a literature professor!!
How many sticky packs do you go through a month?
Do you still find him relatable in the end? 😅
