The academy is meant to prepare anyone off the street for field training as an officer, it doesn’t mean you’re done learning, training to become a police officer. Probation is easily 1 year after the academy, so in reality it’s more like 6 months academy, 1 year probation/field training, even more. Easy 1.5-2 years of training to truly become an officer 👮♀️ 👮.

June 15th.... congrats group. Be safe and watch each other's 6.
Just did OC day yesterday....what a day hahaha!
Year I never wanna do it again
So did I! Both OC and taser, they both equally suck!
I’ve been OC’d like..7 times for “training”
I fared better than some of the others, but it wasn't pleasant and I hope I never have to use it so I don't have to take the risk exposure.
Didn't have to get tased, but I'd be open to getting tased though
I’m so excited for January. I will be going through the BLET program and hopefully make it through to become sworn in officer my goal is to join SRT.

6 months to be a officer Holy shit thats Short in Germany a officer goes through 2 1/2 years at least.
Thats how it should be done... Maybe we would not have as many incidents of police brutality
Justlife 25 Yea we have also a training on the street but this is in the 2 1/2 years and we havee of course in Service Trainings Too
In NZ it is 16 weeks!
This is NOT Germany baby!!! This is America🇺🇸 and I think 6 months is enough to become a police officer!!!
