Welcome to Soulstice. I'm one of the biggest fans of the game around and will say that it has some rough points, like a few of the enemy types, there being an overload of mechanics and levels feeling like they drag on. (some say the platforming is bad too, but i disagree. The height of Briar's jump is connected to how long you hold the jump button if i remember correctly, so for maximum height you mustn't just tap it).
But in opposition to that is a LOT to offer on the front of gameplay, story and characters. It's one of my favourites in the genre and I hope you'll have a lot of fun with it as well.
