Moe Norman had many lessons to teach. This was his first one to me.
The Single Plane golf swing is not a quick fix golf technique. It is a system, beginning at address, that simplifies the most important moment of the golf swing - impact.
Starting at address on two planes where the arms hang straight down at address, the Conventional golf swing is complicated. Because the arms are hanging straight down, a conventional golfer must lift the body into impact creating stress on the back.
This upward movement to accommodate the two planes is unnecessary.
The Single Plane Golf swing simplifies the golf swing by eliminating the need for the upward movement by starting and impacting on the same plane.
Moe was amazing. His explanation was always so simple and the results perfect.
Been playing about 6 months, learned a lot from watching his videos. He's so cool and relaxed with his swing, a true teasure.
I SAW this guy hit balls, CRAZY how straight it went. I was with my boys, we’re all Plus 2-3-4 handicaps, we were stunned.
As a fairly new golfer, I admire Moe and his teachings so much. Personifies what the game of golf should be. Simple and fun.
Interesting that all the videos I’ve watched of Moe so far he was verbally explaining his feels and swing thoughts every time. Impressive. I tried his grip on my driver I am shocked at the results. I can’t believe how it works
I get a lot out of these short videos. I understand what he is saying. He is not twisting his spine like conventional swings but moving into the ball toward the flag or target. It’s a lateral move. His feel makes sense to me more than instructional words.

good thing is, his plane is great so even if he did do the rotation it would be good

I’ve been playing for about 9 months now. Have a wicked slice when I try to shallow out like every other instructor says. I average about 235 but again slices like pizza. I tried this single plane swing method for about 55 drives on my sim and I averaged about 255 with my shot dispersion being more center fairway than ever. Hoping some more practice will really narrow things down.
The more you watch his action the better it looks. So simple.

@@RC-lw3le he said John Daly was the most talented golfer he’s ever seen as well. Most have said the Moe is the best pure ball striker to ever have played the game. John was just so talented he didn’t have to practice. Moe talks about all the time he spent practicing muscle memory on certain movements, John stopped practicing once he left college lol 😂
Moe was amazing and a treasure, John is amazing in his own right. I’m not arguing with you either, just stating what I’ve heard and comparing the two guys a little. There is no true comparison to Moe

Different strokes for Different folks! I think this is simplified and ensures consistent contact. My only concern is how far away his hands are from the body at address, I couldnt do that and get consistent contact in the middle of the clubface. But he sure can.
first you have to forget 2 plane concepts..You learn the fundamentals...it's simpler in concept..and much more effective ...making it easier to hit ball solidly and consistently..it eliminates so many variables of 2 plane

@@ToddGravesGolf i would love to see some quality full swings which analyze exactly what moe did differently. Down the line from the rear i dont think i have ever really seen.

I’d like to have learned to swing from moe, but I would have LOVED to learn to dress from him.

I think it’s down right disrespectful to comment on his teeth. This guy has forgotten more about golf then most golfers will ever know. May he rest in peace.
He was an amazing inspiration for sure and a gift to the golf world, but let's be honest his teeth are really bad there is no getting around that fact.
