no it’s about golden child syndrome. she’s the favourite child and is incredibly used to love and praise for being so talented and maturing faster than her peers. eventually, her development slows down to meet them and she loses whatever makes her so special, becoming a disappointment and she is no longer the favourite. in the chorus, she’s begging them (presumably her parents) to love her again.

Yuni Zheng I think the more general yet close meaning of the song is simply about someone who wants love like a drug. Not romantically, just platonically like praise and appreciation. I believe the necklace represents the expectations she has to fulfill in order to gain other's affection, and as she grows older, the expectations are too much for her to the point that it's suffocating (or it acts as a noose; the less love she has, the more suicidal she is).

yo, late reply, but this song is based around borderline personality disorder. look it up, symptoms match with the lyrics and many people believe it does link up with the mental illness. coming from someone with bpd too, i can confirm the song reflects a lot of my feelings.
