Itadakimasu - Let's say a quick prayer in Japanese before a meal!

We are going to learn one of the most important words for us Japanese today! Itadakimasu! Kinda like a quick prayer before a meal to show the appreciation for the food.

Oooooh! I didn't know about the masu and mashita, present and past! I had been getting confused about what the ending of "arigato" was supposed to be, and I see why I've been hearing both (in anime and in youtube videos). This is cool to learn it!

Is the "u" at the end of itadakimasu ...silent?

When we say “masu”, we’d have to put lips like “u”. When we say faster, our lips tend to get lazy..😅 And sounds like “u” was omitted! lol
