Game 2 was LA’s best shot. The difference between 1-1 and 0-2…….

The last time the Lakers would play in those classic road uniforms.

I miss the Lakers and Spurs rivalry from that era. #GoSpursGo

The beginning of what would be the greatest Western Conference rivalry. The Spurs basically picked up where the Rockets left off.

Hubie Brown said it well beginning at 24:15 (not exact words):
"You don't worry who you foul. You don't worry what's the percentage.
The pressure will take advantage of that."
Growing pains for a third-year player, then arguably become the closest who reached the "Michael Jordan level."
Never a fan, but acknowledging his great career which I probably more impressed if he was not coached by Phil Jackson.
For the meantime (this game), thank you for "helping out" that led to final shutdown sweep at the Forum.

A young Kobe Bryant channeling his inner Nick Anderson down the stretch. Still don't understand how they f*cked this game up.

This era was when the first round was best of five, and the finals format was 2-3-2. The Spurs had one of the best playoff runs of all time, record wise, during those playoffs by going 15-2 to include 12 straight wins in a row before losing game 3 of an NBA Finals they won 4-1.

Go figure that somehow BOTH 8 seeds gave the Spurs their only home losses

Except the Knicks won their game at their place. Minnesota was the only team to beat the Spurs in the playoffs on their home floor.

Still see Duncan just abusing J.R. Reid. And Kobe smoking those two FT's was absolutely killer. Lakers were cooked as soon as this ended, I knew it, most anyone with sense knew it. They just didn't know how to win...turned out they just needed some zen...

    1999 and 2002 for both these teams are the last for;
Lakers final season at the forum and those uniforms plus pre Phil Jackson era. (1999) Eliminated by Spurs en route to the championship
Spurs final season at the Alamodome
and those fiesta colors logo (2002 eliminated by Lakers en route to championship.

Another great game and a good job of editing and blending the highlights. The Spurs finally get past LA after being knocked out by them so many times. it was great.

Spurs kept rolling with old dudes and not point of attack guards until manu and parker later to offset not beating shaq off dribble or pick and roll

The Popovich vs Rambis coaching matchup in this series was quite a mismatch lol.

Then how do you explain round 1? Rudy T vs Rambis should have been just as big a coaching mismatch and yet……..

@@melvynsngltn27 Well Mel...Hakeem surely didn't run into a real team or superstar in 1995...especially in the Finals. 😂.
Look at Shaq in this video....Kobe can you please hurry up and get better, this guy is too much of a threat to me! 😂😂

These games were difficult to watch. Way, way, WAYYYY too many uncalled fouls. It’s hard to score if you are getting mugged.

I attended Game 4 of this series when the Spurs completed the sweep. Last Laker game at The Forum. I see you posted Games 3 & 4 eight months ago. I’ll try to see if I can see my 18 year old self in the footage, because I was in the tenth row behind one of the hoops 👍
