My husband and I never had a song, like some couples do. When he was diagnosed with terminal cancer I was grief stricken but determined to make his transition as easy as possible. One day he was wandering around the house and found himself humming a song that he couldn't identify, as he was raised in a different language/culture. I immediately recognized it as Love me Tender. It felt to both of us, like a gift from God. We intuitively felt this was meant to be 'our song', but an Elvis song?! Hmmm. It wasn't until we looked up the lyrics and saw the final verse that we understood why. As Twin Flames we knew our love would transcend lifetimes so the lyrics "I'll be yours through all the years 'till the end of time" were exactly right for us. He's been gone (and yet not gone) for almost 4 years and today is our 35th Wedding Anniversary. This is my favourite version of this song.
RIP... God will provide. He will protect him to the end of times. Rememeber that you will meet him eventually again along with your relatives. Make him proud of you. Never forget that he looks over you at this moment. Wave at him and work hard.

Extraordinary ... Today ( about 6 hours ago to be more exact ) me and my wife were listening to " Can help falling in love" , in the Andrea Boccelli' s version . During this performance I found myself saying : " Only this man can resemble Elvis !... " and my wife , that knows so well my deep appreciation and love for Elvis , took a quick glance at me and didn' t say a word ; she kept listening to Andrea Boccelli ( being clearly impressed ) .
Now , when I opened the UA-cam , just before going to bed , what did I suddenly see ?!? Andrea Boccelli singing : Love Me Tender ... Isn' t it a miracle ?! ? I didn' t even know Andrea Boccelli sang anykind of Elvis songs ( except Can help falling in love , performance that I discovered just today ). Oh my God , how glad I became instantly !!!...

If only Elvis realised what a positive influence he had on so many different artists that came after him. Probably no-one has had such an impact on such a wide array of artists. Bocelli is great.
Too bad people will always imagine the Elvis at the end, he truly was the greatest, he was a huge civil rights activist who threatened to cancel his shows if venues didn't let his black back up singers come.

I was playing this music and thinking of my long lost love. So into the moment and so into the music. He past recently and I was heartbroken. Tears just pouring down my face and what happens, the phone rings.....I hit talk and let the person calling hear this music. Strange they did not hang up when I did not speak.
