Was hoping you would do a review on the new monster cereal 🥣 My kids enjoyed it! FrankenBerry is definitely the best and yes I agree bring back the retro boxes.
I thought the Carmella Creeper was decent, but as you said, none of these cereals are that great. We don't buy them for the taste, it's all about the nostalgia. You were also right about them turning your innards green. I bought one box of each variey and ate one bowl from each box (I still have to consume the Boo Berry) as I've decided that this is the last year I'm eating them. I'm retiring from Monster Cereals as they all mess my guts up. I'll just look at the pretty boxes on the store next year and reminisce.
They should have done 3 new flavors and had people vote for a winner

I miss C-3PO cereal.
Unfortunately I like the art and idea more than the cereal itself. They are all really bland. I always bought it for the packaging. Also, I hate Carmella. She doesn’t fit at all. Totally agree on the Bride idea but I guess that’s old fashioned now.

👎 Carmella Creeper cereal is AWFUL... The most Tasteless, Bland, Dull tasting cereal ever. I love the cartoon character, love the colorful box, love the fact that it's a Halloween Monster Cereal .. Love ALL the propaganda... BUT ONCE YOU OPEN IT AND EAT IT... It's is a huge disaster.. Taste nothing like Apples or nothing like Carmel.. Taste like Nothing. Old time Apple Jacks taste 100 times better

Small suggestion: Turn your mic vilume down in post at the times where you chew or move the mic/input further away and speak louder so the lip smacking is less abrasive to the listeners ear. Most successful food related channel do this. Great video and interesting content.

Growing up Frute Brute, Yummy Mummy, and Boo Berry were my main go to Cereals, but nowadays I've really been enjoying Frankenberry. I would definitely say Brute and Frank are my Two Favs hands down
0:50 This is what I've been trying to see in the background for some time. Those are great! Carmella does not fit. What character is it supposed to represent? We have, Frank, Drac, Wolf, Mummy, Ghost and.....DJ? What a bad addition. I hate when they change tried and true designs for no reason whatsoever other than some marketing kid's bad "hip" idea.

I agree, Carmella Creeper is not a Universal Monster, not even close! A Bride of Frankenstein cereal would be awesome! I just confused, because here in Iowa last year, they had Frute Brute, and I am wondering why this year they don't. I made the horrible mistake of taking a few pieces of Carmella Creeper cereal and eating them dry. It was not pleasant🤣 I was able to kind of taste the caramel apple flavor with almond milk. The remix I have not tasted yet. Capt'n Halloween Crunch is really good, and even with almond milk, the milk turns a lime to an aqua green!

Back in the day, the cereal was made with oats. Now they use corn. Definitely changes the flavor of the cereal.

I bought like 8 boxes of Monster Mash Remix because they where closing it out for like a dollar... My kids started a revolt. They said it sucked. lol
The Monster Mash looks lame without Fruity Yummy Mummy, FrankenBerry or Frute Brute pieces. Why put'em on the box? They should've released Frute Brute this year as it's original version.

Great video! 100% with you on the monster cereals; classic style is the way to go! I bought the board/card game, "Monster Crunch! The Breakfast Battle Game -- which"uses the monster cereal license -- for that reason alone (luckily, it is actually a fun game, though the monster cereal theme is not super deep).

I agree, not sure who is in charge of the Monster Cereal promo stuff but Carmella Creeper just looks like a Brats figure, and they are not staying true to monsters, Need to have a Creature and Invisible man cereal, and the flavor of the Monster mix sucks , it tasted like paper to me. It seems like Hollywood, the marketing industry and music lost their creative force now they just play it safe but at least this did not cost you hundreds of dollars like the fair!

I hate the art work this year. So glad I got the retro boxes and saved them last year. I wish they would keep it retro and even do some new hand drawn cartoon commercials.
I really liked Carmella Creeper cereal. Had a waffle taste to it. At least that’s what I thought. I have never seen the monster mash one in any store where I live. Count Chocula is my favorite then Franken Berry. Thanks for the video Sean.

Am I in this? I don’t recall getting any cereal but then again I’m always high.
These cereals actually tasted pretty good at one point. Probably 30 years ago or more. They actually changed the original formulas, and from then on, they all tasted very anemic.
Didn't have anything like this in the UK as a kid in the 70s-80s, we had boring things like corn flakes, sugar puffs and ready brek. Sugar puffs had a hairy monster called the Honey Monster and the cereal came with about 500% of your daily allowance of sugar. Ready brek was oats ground into flour and had a great PR department who convinced kids that if they ate it, it'd make you radioactive or something. I thought your dogs barking were mine, was about to go find out wassapenin.

I hate the design too. They should’ve done Bride of Frankenberry. Agree! She doesn’t fit in and Bride would’ve given them a female and kept it consistent.
You should taste them without the milk, including the other monster ones. It's like sour mixed with plastic 🤮. Boo Berry used to be my favorite cereal. Sad that they can't make cereal like they used to.

At first I thought she was like creature of the Black lagoon daughter than I realize those were fishnets not scales. Yeah they dropped to the ball on this one sadly. Bring back yummy mummy
I think most of those cereals all have a similar taste, its just the food coloring that changes. Any taste difference is likely from the marshmallows they inject into each batch, otherwise you're eating the same thing. I agree too that something like this really belongs to the vintage crowd. Hey its a classic so why wouldn't the kids want it too? Seems like a win/win to just keep it in the old school graphics.

I completely agree with carmella creeper design. its super lame, but then again cereal is targeted towards kids so the lame monster high look will probably get them to buy it. I'm a count chocula guy so i'm glad they have never really messed with his design that much.

Caramella Creeper tasted like a caramel apple to me and I enjoyed it quite a bit (and this comes from somebody that only likes Count Chocula).

I'm old school, I'll be 58 next month, and grew up with Boo, Franken, and Count Chocula. Franken and Boo were always my 2 favorites, and I buy like 10 boxes of each every Halloween season, to get me through the year. I wish they sold it year round, like they use to. Thank God it has a long shelf life. 😂😂😂

I mean if you are gonna market this as a throwback to o old skool retro kids cereals for fun do it all the way and do it right or don't sell it out there as a rip off quick novelty cash grab that isn't worth putting out a real cool detailed retro throwback style to monster kids cereals with atleast complete retro throw back authenticity In all fun and glory as if it were a actual old skool retro novelty kids cereal that looks really like as if it were an actual old skool fun theme monster kids breakfast cereal fun for kids like ones we used to get back I'm the day..and ok Sean ima try to give u a get off my lawn nit pick that I gotta mention cause it totally bothers me on this whole monster retro novelty cereals that'll have the look of it looking legit and real close enough in box and maybe some taste I guess kinda captures that fruity taste of what some monster cereals tasted like back in the day..all that and the biggest thing notable that just isn't right and uncool n gives the retro monster kids cereal a rip-off and loses my sense of believing that it's s a throwback retro kids cereal monster themed or not Is a freaking cool litte exclusively in cereal usually buried under bottom of cereal boxes for kids was always either a cool related theme prize or collectable cool kids toy at every box of kids cereals..which errks me that how could they do a retro kids monster cereal and not include that piece of retro nostalgic vibe that us adults I our mid 30s and up like u a guy in his 50s get that compete retro style feel that u got excited for or anxious Asa kid to dig all the way down to bottom of cereal box to get hold of the prize or collectors cool toy that somehow ties into the theme of ur favorite kids cereal that u loved buying...I don't get why they just can't do that small little token to improve and sell these newly retro kids cereals to make it as complete as possible and realalistic to any kids cereal that came out back then would always always include that cool collectible toys at bottom of every kids cereal box..which is a shame n idobt understand how that isn't included mean common it is supposed to be a retro style kids theme cereal right well dam all I can think of is it such a big hassle or costing or more harder extra work just to include the freaking kids toy on every kids cereal box for a much Cooler realistic throwback to mobster retro kids cereals from back in the day...really I think it would probably make more sales n possible better reviews over the not so good tasting cereal reviews that trash the cereal review and just only if they made that extra small effort to throw in a really cool monster themed collectors ⁵toy inside every box I bet just by including a small toy shark inside the Jawa movie themed kids cereal that u reviewed would make bettersales for that novelty collector n so cool even fir us grown u p s who like these monster horror themed kids cereals would be way cooler for us fans who like monster horror kid themed cereals n like as a kid we'd appreciate the toy cause it's horror monster themed toy or prize included in the cereal make a good fun way for us older adults now who like collecting the toy inside just like we did when we ate these kids cereals fir fun back in our kid day s..and it just doesn't make sense to not have a kids cool toy included at bottom of each cereal box ..lol man sorry for ranting on about this but it's a good one for get off my lawn due to it pertaining to the kids retro style fun themed cereals resembling those cool monster kid cereals we all enjoyed for fun as kids
