Zhao Xintong 11 years earlier: Destined to Become a Snooker Champion
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 гру 2024
- Zhao was already very talented at age 13, as we all snooker fans know, but earlier this month he showed that he also has the required temperament to be a champion. Excellent news for the game.
The statistics shown in the video correspond to the date of the match.
Cesar Muroya created a unique editing technique to extract the essence of the game without losing the drama involved. Contextual information is also an innovation appreciated by viewers.
This format is not intended to substitute the full version but make snooker more accessible to new fans. The fluency and atmosphere of the game stay in a shorter-length video, allowing even experienced fans to enjoy snooker at any time.

its 12foot. bad camera is the reason, look at the legs. the 3rd leg is not at the end of the table. if it was 10ft it would be at the end as they only have 6 legs. 12ft has 8 legs :)
At 6:10 and 6:13, you can see that the size of Zhao's cue is nearly the distance between the corner pocket and the blue spot. That distance is 199 cm for a 12ft table and 159 cm for a 10ft. His cue is about 145cm long.
Also, his hand seems too large in the baulk area (74cm for a 12ft table and 60cm for a 10ft table). However, perspective is always tricky, so I can be wrong.
Btw, some brands produce 10ft snooker tables with 8 legs.
That is definitely a full sized table, just think about it, why would a pro chose to play on a ten foot table when there will be full sized tables in that club. Look how far the lad spotting has to stretch across the table to spot the ball.
@@oldtimer5111 I have been playing snooker In many different cities of China, people play full size snooker table or pool table only. no one plays reduced size snooker table. I saw the 10 feet version in America before, but never in China.
Yes that's right. Good players in China will not play with smaller table, even if it is available.
This is definitely a full size snooker table. I have never seen a 10 ft snooker table in China. Unless you are talking about the chinese pool table, which i own one.
A snooker club is incomplete without the Ronnie's poster, it's a proud feeling 😇
Agreed
Sorry he is history
@@amratkhan He maybe history, but in the history, he is a legend
Who's Ronnie? Is he like a famous male hooter in bars, that's why with the poster?
@@asianamericancasestudies6434 all I can tell you, he is not an Asian American!
Talent + perseverance and hard work = world champion !
2 years ago I was thinking will I follow snooker after ronnie's retirement but now I know I will
I met him as a kid when I visited China 🇨🇳 for a snooker tournament..wow what a champion he has turned out to be
What I like about Zhao, is that he is extremely fun to watch. Like Whirlwind and Rocket, he can pot unbelievable ball, and then miss an easy one.
Excellent footage and shows all the hard work and years of practice that goes into making a great player. Thanks for uploading.
You can tell he was a star back then
Oh my goodness!!! 11 years of age? No wayyyyyyy! I'm so blown away, and apparently Ronnie was hitting centuries at 10 yrs of age! Incredible talent
13 yrs old
11 years ago.... re read
Incredible footage! What a star now and for the future of the game.
Amazing young man..a delight to watch.Hope he only grows from here.
imagine being that good 11 years ago, and then playing non stop in between, crazy, congrats to his victory
Imagine being horrible 33 years ago, play non stop and still crappy today, story of my snooker 'career'. LOL. Wished I have half his talent.
@@thaiphra2183 me too, mate
@@thaiphra2183 same😭😭😭. Still love the game though
I'm 50yo now and never play snooker but after watching this, I've decided migrating to China leaving and selling everything to learn snooker. Wish me best of luck.
8:26 Zhao admitted being tired from the drill. 8:28 the reply from the opposite end was to hang on! 7:17 the voice of the person possibly behind the camera actually recounts 40 shots by that time of recording! So there must be a dozen shots extra ontop of the accorded shots as indicated from the video.
A miraculous majestic snooker talent a wonderful with it simply wonderful I saw this years ago and I am still as blown away! I’m a century player
Great find Cesar!
Amazing, but just shows you how hard it is to make it at any pro sport! 10 years from being that good we all suddenly know him! Well done to him, natural talent!
I know him for five six years. It was a shame to not see him on the business end of tournaments cause I remember how excited I was when I first watched him. I thought boy, this guy's like Ronnie. He was a fair bit quicker than now but I thought "What could stop him?..." He's gonna be part of the elite soon. And then he kind of disappeared although I watched a lot of Snooker at the time I didn't see him anymore. Out of sight out of mind, I kind of forgot about him until very recently... So happy for him that he finally came around cause so many promising young talents eventually don't produce for many different reasons. I feared he was one of those but luckily he came through he's just too talented to pass by unnoticed...
Waaaaaada player. My new favourite
he is a perfect snooker player
Love Zhao’s game,he is on his way to becoming one of the very best on the tour.Look at the pots he’s making here as an 11 year old, just amazing!
Didn't he get popped for match-fixing?
@@salaciouspancakes He sure did.
I like his style, even at 11 he looks elegant...and even to this day he's retained it...
Incredibly talented! World #1 soon.
Such great form at a young age. He definitely was taught well.
His cue control was already pro level 11 years ago🤯
Zhao realy is a Phenomena both by his Beauty and of course His address
What an amazing little dude. 😆
I hope he will visit this snooker table again young friends are important and they are waiting for you Zhao
age 14 ,he beat steve davis and age 24 he is 2021Uk champion, goodjob chineseboy
8:26
Zhao: I'm getting tired!
Cam man: Keep it up!😅
And sure he did lol
To have that much cue past your bridge hand... your cue action has to be rock solid. Clearly his is perfect here 👏👏
isn't it depressing that you can be this fabulous and still have a looooooong journey before you become consistent, mentally strong and be this good some 50 frames in a row?
yeah, i know... but this guy is there right now. happy days for anybody who loves to watch how snooker is done!
Fun fact: Zhao Xintong, 赵Zhao心Xin童Tong where Zhao is his family name, XinTong literally translate into "heart of a child" the video captures the narrative to his name exactly on point.
Fun fact: he has a brother who’s a table tennis prodigy named Zhao Pingpong 😂.
@@trappenweisseguy27 Fun fact: In all your wisdom, I bet they shall be your envy for the rest of time :D
Fun fact: I don’t envy dirty cheaters who have been banned from their sport for match fixing 😳. And daddy the bell maker is Zhao DingDong 😂.
@@trappenweisseguy27 Funfact: Sing a happier tune when you can pot like him as a kid(before the scandal) Given your maturity you are probably up to the task!
a star is born.
Pure talent oooofff❤️
Wow... He can play left and right handed. Awesome
No doubt a talented snooker player.
I remember his very first match against Ronnie, totally mind blowing
Ronnie sounds like a gay person, who's he?
@@asianamericancasestudies6434 your sarcasm is poor.
@@T.M.... Sorry but Ronnie does sound like someone from gay bar. You don't seem to know what sarcasm is
@@asianamericancasestudies6434 Ronnie has the fastest 147 in history.
If you don't know what that means, then you should refrain from ever commenting anything about snooker for the rest of your life. Try educating yourself noob.
@@T.M.... I'm just commenting on the name, but you know most people didn't view this as a sport so only a few Chinese even practiced on this. Fastest 147 in history would mean very little if most people who play would not even be competing, at least for Chinese it's just seen as a game. Just like some people try to break record of how fast he can tap his feet, so what.
Wow. Even though he's so fast now, he was even faster then, barely waiting for the balls to stop rolling!
I remember I saw this back in the day! Time flies...
What cloth is on the table ??
This was him? I have watched this clip back then. Good to knw this kid has made it to d top
Great talent, needs to improve his all round game and he will be brilliant..
The guys on the other table didn't pot a single ball😂
He’s definitely got a future in the game
Kid's got the perfect cue action.
Amazing
心童打球干脆俐落,一气呵成,看的舒服~成功真是除了天份,更要努力。
挂着奥沙利文的头像,以为是奥沙利文开的呢
Fantastic talent, I'm sure he will enjoy great success in the game. Reckon I could still have a few frames off him though...
Its amazing.. How a teen have so much control on white ball..
Quem nasce para ser campeão já vem do berço, está no sangue. Esse joga muito.
Young champion uk 2021 congrate..
He is so cute
Not sure why his opponent is still holding on to his que, he should just put on a glove and become fulltime ball picker
What a pot, natural talent, he's so gifted. It looks like to me he didn't really work hard to get his top performance in snooker.
He's like Jimmy White, without a doubt he's snooker's future after Ding
talent + hardwork
What a player!!!
Exzellent!!!!
4:36 the other kid is crying
A world class clearance. Really amazing. Brings to mind Efren Reyes.
Xhao💓
I believe it was a a full size table where he played the blue.
👌 awesome
The most relax sport ..smart boy to choose this instead of gymnastics
Beautiful cue action ..wot a nice table to practice on ..Cardiff snooker used to be good ,now it’s dead
Great cue action.
Молодец будушая звезда из Великого китая
卡娃兒 真可愛
too good
It's not a 10feet table, it's full size 12ft one
Which province was he training and what's the name of this snooker saloon?
It's not his speed that I'm impressed with. At that age everybody's quick. It's the positional play. It's like bullseye every time.
I had never seen a 10 foot snooker table in China, they were all 12 foot. The pockets may be bigger than the tournament tables though.
Who cares what kind of table, length, or whatever. He’s that good at 11. Most couldn’t even hold a cue right. He plays better at 11 then most adults.
He already played so much like Ronnie at that age.
เก่งมากครับ
好叻仔😄👍🏻
year 2050: Other guy is still waiting for his turn
Wow wow wow.
He has won German masters again
Future world champion..
wow... this makes me want to quit cue sports altogether... he's just incredible to have been such a young lad
that green to brown placement was fucking crazy
can see nothing except talent. Wish I could have 1% of his, that would be enough for me to win plenty of games in my club
么么哒😘😘😘😘😘
Esse menino vai longe
It's definitely a full-size table...not 10ft
Great cuiest first guy.
Great
future world champ
心童好可愛
his grip matches with my hand anatomy
Snooker had been declining in the UK and around Europe and I believe China brought it back
I m like shooting stars!
wow fast but solid
တော်တယ်ကွာ
Wow
wow wowwown
🇩🇿 toop
I wonder what Peruvian 🇵🇪 snooker is like?
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Будущий Джимми Чу
It’s hard to become a decent player in the Uk, it’s expensive to play and difficult to get coaching. Places like China are more then likely cheap to play and easy to obtain some form of coaching.
