From a beginner's perspective, the editing of where you hit the cueball really helps. For each shot the viewer can try to predict where it will land... which is a great exercise. Thanks for the effort you put into this!
A bloke at our club was laughing at me the other day when I potted Red and black and said I was on for a 147. He nearly died in hysterics when I missed the next red.
Just watching it again. People need to appreciate the time it takes to edit something like this. The shot type indicator and scoring for every shot is brilliant
Stopped playing snooker 22 years ago, when I was told I needed glasses. In my 40s now and discovering the this channel has really given me an urge to play again.
if you really want to play again...glasses haven't stopped me aswell from playing Pool or Snooker - you might just want to get some pair of glasses espacially designed for these pool sports
Great effort. The pressure just intensifies when you get down to the colours on a big break and we miss balls we wouldn't usually. Liking the headcam videos. Keep them coming
gassed seein this. cant wait for clubs to open up! also mate u should record your narration in post, that way u can have full concentration in break and we get all the thought processes etc.
Perfect way to wake up on a Saturday morning while I am unable to play and love the addition of commentary with the headcam. Andrew in Sutton-on-sea ✌️😊
UA-cam brought me here and I am hooked. Never been able to play snooker here in the us, but I am now looking for places. Cheers from Kansas City, Missouri!
I just bought my 1st snooker table and I try to play at least 2 or 3 hours per day...I'm nowhere near the level you are though, but your videos have become invaluable to me! Hopefully if I keep this routine up for a couple of years I'll be making 100+ runs myself! I'm not going to be too hard on myself though as my table is not completely level yet! I still have to get the installer out to shim things up for me! Thanks for all of your content bro!
I’ve never played snooker.. but love watching the game and watching you. Only recently in November I saw my first table in person.. I honestly could believe how big they are!! The cameras don’t do them justice on tv haha!
Love your videos. I was going through the old videos before the renovation. I noticed some missing from the days of old which is sad but was also reminded of how far you have come. I'm excited for you as you keep progressing not only as a player but as a content provider and entertainer. Your set up with lots of brighter lighting and your audio sounds fantastic now. Just wanted to say good job. I hope UA-cam is paying you enough to keep up with all the costly upgrades you have given us over the years. Looking forward to many years to come. Many thanks from Peterborough Ontario Canada. God bless.
Excellent video! As a hobbyist whose maximum break has been only 64, it was great to watch the shot planning, and to have the cue ball graphic up. I have watched and subscribed just in the last few days and look forward to watching more and upping my game based on your videos. Well done and great thanks!
this is the first video of your channel i am watching, and i subscribed before i even watched any of your videos, because the channel name is just superb brilliance. best channel name ive seen on any channel.
yeah.. this is what I'm talking about.. having the cue ball positioning at least to know where ure hitting it. I find this vid very helpful indeed. Thank you!
I second K Man's question. What stops you turning pro? I've seen less competent players on the telly. And you're waaaay more watchable than someone like Peter Ebdon!
You have no idea how good the pros are. He is a decent player but with all due respect, he would get annihilated by anyone in the top 128, no question.
Technically there's only 128 professional snooker players normally. The new season will consist of 122. To get on the tour is extremely hard. The rest are considered to be amateurs. This guy has probably tried to get in to tournaments but not good enough. Some players can be amazing potters but struggle with safety play. I also feel that snooker is the hardest game to master. I think of it as a video rpg game where they level up with experience. Amateur footballers are like level 1 and you level up to 5 and your semi-pro. Level up to 10 and your professional with some players getting up to 15 like Messi. I see all sports like this. The quality from a top player to a amateur. Then when I do this with snooker. The pros are so good compared to amateur and even good players, they are like levels 35 to 40. If anyone can make sense of that 😂
@@garethlloyd1445 You are not wrong. The guys on tour are absolute gravy compared to even the best amateurs. I have played my whole life to a decent level. My best break is 135 and I would get thumped 5-0 by any tour pro, those tables are ridiculous to play on compared to club tables.
@@SteveNinetyski still 135 is still something to shout about. You could randomly grab 1000 people off the street and they all had ago at snooker and they all can be bad. Players who can achieve a century break are still a rare breed. Im much better at pool, getting pub trophy whatever. Along snooker my top break was 32. Now my left eye is stronger than my right being 41 Yr old so my line is off
I am Sofian and I think its unbelievable there are only 3 pins in Germany! U have to catch up, we are basically neighbours :D Greetings from Saarbruecken Germany! U really can get that 147 bro!
Hey, I see quite a few comms here. Truly like your VLOG, all the specialty shots, educational tip and informative. Been waiting for you to run for a long time, really nice to see you potting. Shooting pool in Yamhill County Or.
Great Videos! Even without any explanation, these videos from the headcam perspective would still offer great insight into how a first class consistent cue delivery should look to any player as their shot is being played and these videos also provide players of all standards a far better impression of how exactly pots are cued in terms of power and where the tip should contact on the cueball in order to achieve both accurate successful potting and also crucially the desired position on the next ball needed to continue building a break. Top Work Good Sir!!! Thanks for these and please continue to expand your Channel! 😃🎯💯💯
Thank you for your efforts… last video was about, how to make snooker more attractive and make younger audience back to snooker halls… I think that video hit the ball. Hit and potted
oh man i watched it in 720p. LOL Great Job. I have subscribed as you are very good at what you are doing. And i have learned a lot in just a few videos from you. Time to practise. thanks man
Amazing to watch this, but I saw Stephen Hendry do the same thing. This dude has great action and technique, but you can see the little imperfections in the stroke etc. Stephen Hendry was perfection. Cue action was dead straight like it was laser guided. This dude is still sooooooo good, but I was just able to notice the difference now we can watch these type of videos from arguably the best player ever. It's him or Ronnie for me. I learn more from watching these breaks though than 100 other videos on snooker breaks. It's wonderful to watch someone this good from this perspective.
It appears to me that you strike most shots in this video with right side and when using left side it appears as a center ball hit....is this just my view or is it because of the angle of the go pro in relation to your line of sight? Thank you for all of your Utube presentations.....very well done.👍😀
As someone just getting back into playing snooker IRL (and not just using a very accurate and helpful snooker sim on my PC called Shooters Pool {HIGHLY RECOMMENDED}) I can confirm that you make this game look stupidly easy, and it's not. That said you have a brilliant way of presenting easy-to-practice methods for anyone who wants to improve their game, and for that I am awarding you my 'Best Thing On The Internet' Award for this year so far. I extremely rarely hit the bell icon, but this time it's a no-brainer.

Excellent video as usual. I have a question: you’re obviously very talented when you’re practicing alone, but do you feel stress when playing in tournaments? Does the stress of having an audience affects how you play, or are you able to get into “the zone” and just forget about distractions/people/noises?

I nearly made a century break before.. Sadly it ended when I missed the first red
Ohh. Thats happened a few times to me too. So close.
Lol, agreed, I’ve never made a century breaks but I’ve made dozen of cent breaks
I was really close to making a century, the bloke next door did it ! I nearly won the lottery too, yup, you're right, same bloke !

I thought the same. It's either the camera angle or just how he plays. Probably compensates with his aim
I think it's the camera angle. You could ignore that and try to focus on the direction of the cue/follow through for figuring out the aim.
