I hope you’ll read this and I realize that this isn’t hate, but genuine concern.
As a child of divorce myself, I would have been devastated as a child to have my room and space taken away from me. Especially in order to make room for a new baby (who won’t even be born and using his room before Bella’s next visit anyway), who you said would be in your master bedroom for the first bit of his life.
Please reconsider putting all of your beauty room stuff into Bella’s room. Her room was already smaller than the nursery, and now she has even less space. You could easily put your beauty room furniture into the “man cave”, and that way Bella will still have a room of her own so that she maintains a sense of “home” and welcoming when she’s visiting you both.
Again, I hope you don’t take this as hate or delete this. I’m sure I’m not the only person who was rubbed the wrong way by your decision to give the unborn child a huge bedroom to himself while pushing old furniture into Bella’s space. Trust me, when I was a kid something like this would have broken my heart and caused some serious resentment, but I wouldn’t have spoken up about it at a young age.

First time mom tip! Totally take it or leave it but something I am experiencing with my first babe who is almost one.
Don’t buy too many clothes in bigger sizes to match with what season it will be because your baby might to match up to that size in that season. My son is in 18 month clothes and he isn’t even one so his clothes are all off lol
Shelby Faircloth yes to the bigger clothes! My son was wearing 12 months when he was 8-9 months old and all I had was summer 12 month clothes. It was still freezing out lol so he had to get a new wardrobe

I agree with this as well. Some people are surprised when their baby cannot wear the newborn size very long or if at all. Sleep sacks are great as well as swaddle blankets. Babies love to be wrapped up when they sleep and they sleep much better that way during the first few months. I would say don't buy a lot of clothes in the Newborn or 3-6 month size until after the baby is born and you know what he weighs. And you will use a lot of lightweight blankets.
My son has always matched up to the size of clothes for his age, BUT his feet were huge so he could never wear anything with footies. When he was a newborn I literally sat on the floor with scissors cutting the feet off of all the onesies 😂 you never know what size a baby will be 🤷🏼♀️😆
Shelby Faircloth I agree, just buy what u love and esp if it’s short sleeves u. An always layer a cardi over it, or swap shorts for pants, or pants for shorts etc etc. and for pajamas I almost always besides now that my daughters older wear warmer style jammies cuz it’s either winter, or the ac is blasting. So just have fun being a first time mama and buy whatever u want. Ppl try to say don’t buy cuz cuz they won’t fit long etc etc...girlllllll... enjoy it. I wish I allowed myself to splurge and buy silly things more. Unfortunately because of health issues I can’t not have another even though i want one so so bad. So enjoy it for me and all the other mamas who wish they were pregnant ! Xoxo
As a first time mom myself definitely buy as they grow. I made the mistake myself and bought soooooo much clothes and he didn’t get to wear most of it and especially buying different season clothes ahead of time is a huge mistake, babies grow very quickly and sizing doesn’t necessarily match up with age.
I did the same thing. It's easy to get carried away when everything is just sooo cute! Literally have a bin of clothes with tags that my son didn't even wear because he grew so fast. Also, don't spend money on a ton of cutesy little outfits, sleepers are the BEST. Especially when you have a winter baby. Cozy and warm :)

Jasmine Zepeda that’s something that a first time mom has to experience. Over buying it’s like a right of passage in life. With my first son I over bought cause I was excited and with my daughter I only bought what I knew for sure we needed. So whenever my friends get pregnant and they are over buying with their first I just kind of get exited with them and let them over buy. I let them live their excitement just like I lived mine lol
I totally understand the excitement of overbuying but as moms we can always give advice especially since meg always talks about wanting to save, that can be a starting point. 💗

One thing I learned with my first was I loved the zipper sleepers over the buttons. So much easier to get on and off in the middle of the night !
Biggest/best tip I got: keep receipts and tags on baby clothes because babies grow so fast, you can exchange things you love for bigger sizes. My baby is 7 months old and in sizes 12-18 months
It made me sad to see Bella’s room and the toys packed up already. The baby won’t need his own room for AT LEAST a year. It will not effect him emotionally to not have his own room. However, it will effect Bella to have something of hers taken away. Just a thought.

Worst mistake moms do is buying too much clothes that baby doesn't even fit into. So be careful. ;)
I bought probably $500 worth of clothes if not more. I regret it because i realized shoes before walking is dumb. Newborns normally stay in sleepers till they are more active. White clothes are the wprst idea. I buy as I go now. My baby is almost 2 and still in 12 month clothing so buying in advance isnt always a great idea.

Anatomy appointment does not take 3 hours 😂 just so you know lol. It will probably take like an hour or so max. It just depends sometimes baby is not in the right position for the picture they need so they have to try and get them to move around so it takes longer. So hopefully you won’t be too long!!!

My baby was stubborn and i was in there for 2 hours lol it was insane. With my first i think it was about an hour or less but 2nd baby is a stubborn one for sure lol
The 2nd test for gestational diabetes is 3 hours long, that's if u don't pass the 1st test.
Just had mine yesterday and it was barley an hour with anatomy scan and fetal echo! ❤️
I got mine done at 16 weeks when I also found out the gender since I live in Canada they do not do blood work here for gender, and it was only 1 hour. But the baby was faced down so it was harder for them to get measurements, and find out how the brain and heart is.

If I was your friend or family member watching this I'd be so bummed out by all the things you bought premature that could have been given as lovely gifts like (all of) the clothes, books, accessories, etc. Let people buy you this stuff so that when you receive it it doesn't get lost in all the other crap you bought! This baby already has a more seasonally diverse wardrobe than I do.

As a mom of two, don’t buy too much before your shower!! I was set with my first from just my shower alone! Lol. And girllll, I know everyone said it but they grow out of clothes faster than u think!
Coming from a mom of 3, none of those shoes are going to stay on.. the only shoes that stay on are crib shoes Robeez, and I found toms soft boots stay on.
Britt Schwei depends on the kid. We had Vans crib shoes and they stayed on. Buy the correct size

Don't worry about the crib being a focal point.. lol. keep the crib away from windows with blinds and pull strings and curtains. You always learn as you go. Love you guys

I also feel like you should wait until you're baby shower...your buying everything yourself and you arent enjoying pregnancy...pamper yourself...go for a walk enjoy "me time" before baby comes....when baby gets here you'll regret not doing that and spending time alone. When you have a baby shower and I'm sure you will you wont enjoy your gifts because you a....already have that..or b you only want specific items because your already planning it out. Take it easy and enjoy the moments. I know you will appreciate it. :)

Dont buy expensive maternity clothes. You dont wear them long enough. Get from Target or old navy online. Pink blush is expensive for low qaulity. Also, motherhood maternity online.
Agree. I bought all my maternity clothes from target. My pants from H&M they were more comfy and stretchy. I bought some on clearance from motherhood maternity along with my nursing bras

A 3hr Anatomy appointment? I don't think so...I have 2 and both were at least an hour long
I've never had an ob appointment last longer than an hour and a half from the time I walked in.
Yeah haha my longest one was a hour from time I got there to the time I left
My longest appointment was with baby #2 coming in sept. It was the fetal anatomy and it took a little over 2 hours just because baby was stubborn and kept hiding lol... but my first baby all of them were quick
My anatomy appointment for my triplets wasn’t even three hours long!
My glucose tolerance test took three hours but that's the longest appointment I remember.

One thing about baby clothes, they shrink a ton after the first wash.
Wash them all first! By the time he fits in them, after you wash it he’ll probably be too big for them.

katishaw87 Me, too! I was 35 when I was pregnant with my 2nd so I was considered a geriatric pregnancy and I was so scared that there was going to be something wrong. Also, I wasn’t allowed to go to the bathroom because they needed a full bladder to do the scan so I felt like I was going to burst! Lol!

Meg you need to get the book Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. Such a beautiful story about a mother's love for her son. My son is 21 and that was his all time favorite story. He still has the book.

I agree!! I just had baby #4 (2 weeks ago!) and have used chicco for all of them! With my newest baby I bought the chicco mini bravo plus stroller and the chicco keyfit 30 zip car seat! Love it!

You’re getting so much clothes I’m assuming you’re not having a baby shower? I literally bought one outfit before my shower because I knew I would get so much clothes and I did! Some clothes my baby was only able to wear once or twice so just a friendly tip...don’t buy so much if your planing on having a shower cuz they might go to waste. 😊
