That Maico was beautiful, i wouldn't have been able to walk away from that one!
Fun trip down memory lane. I've had so many vintage motorcycles that they each had it's own soul and personality.
I had to make lemonade that day.
I think the finned float bowl on that BSA was a float bowl extender that allows more gas to sit in the bowl.
Triumph folding pegs were on the TR6C and T100C high pipe molels.
Yup
At 8:45, '77 or '78 Yamaha XS 500, dohc, 4 valves per cylinder, balance shaft, short stroke, 180 degree, parallel twin cylinder engine. Very advanced engine for its time. Very few stock bikes around anymore. Wish you would have looked a bit closer.
Sorry I missed it for you.
I’m glad you told us what the breaker bar was for. I would of lost sleep on that one :)
😁
Big bro's mates had those Ducatis. Every one blew a big end really quickly.
Yeah, I wouldnt know. So thanks for sharing that
59 Ariel SquareFour. I love them. I have 2 and they are fun to ride
I come across them sometimes but I'm not sure how to value them. Prices are all over the place.
That rocket goldstar dented tank can be repaired by a good PDR Paintless dent repair person no problem . That show looked more of a flea market ,thank God for the cool bike show to make it somewhat worth going .
I tried that once on an RGS tank, but the steel is very thick. I'd try it. But boy, that BSA steel is thick!
I have a near mint RZ500 I bought new in 1985.
rare bike
@@bullpencycles I bought it new in 1985.
Enjoyable vlog Dave, I wish I new when you were going these meets, we rarely have bike swap meets here in Australia!
I'm chasing a speedo for a 1981 Kawasaki KZ1000 Police special.
Doug from Sydney Australia🤔
Thanks Dog Man. Have you ever been to the Australian Motorcycle Museum? Our speedos would be in Mph? What about yours? I could probably find one
@@bullpencycles Yes Dave mine is in MPH, it was imported from the US in 2013.
I want to keep the bike correct in MPH.
Thanks for your reply! Doug
Oh, and I have never been to the Australian Motorcycle Museum

....and you walked right past my '23 Cleveland Blue Devil. Oh well different strokes (2) for different folks.
Yes. I'm just not real knowledgably on the very old stuff, or sometimes I'm just overwhelmed by the chaos in the event. And also when they are for sale, they're usually out of my price range. It's not a dig of any kind
No problem I enjoy your videos.
Triumph Trophy's, 500 and 650, side pipe models came with folding pegs.
Thank you. I didnt know that
TR6C and T100C
All that other junk on sale, just the same that happens in the UK.
Yeah, Ugh
RRT2 . . .close ratio gold star fame ok when you are already doing 50 odd
how can u not show the turbo man
I must have missed it
Hey Dave I seen the unicorn video, you said you have some trelleborg mx tires?? Any pics / prices
Let me see if I still have them and can put my hands on them, etc.
In Daytona beach FL now .
Then you are only minutes from me. I'll be in the shop sometime tomorrow if you want to stop by.
@@bullpencycles ok I will come by in White Van Jimmy.
I had many Ossa Montessa Husqvarna bikes.
You like coffee?
@Motorhead1 FYI I'm usually there 10-4.ish, unless i am traveling. I'm semi-retired so there's that!
@@bullpencycles ok My bros car in Auto body shop New Smyrna beach I will call after I go check shop then go to your place after lunchtime
dude all triumphs came with folding rear[passenger] pegs . . .. .. the o'lady has to have somewhere to rest 'er veets on longer journeys . . . .yes . .
Those were not passenger pegs though. They were driver/rider folders, which a viewer said came on trophy 500 models and 650 side pipe (scrambler) models. True about passenger pegs
Why do you alsways only focus on little bikes and pass up the real vintage iron? I have seeen on other videos where you pass right by a Z1 without even panning to let us see it's price. Walking past early 20's bikes to see a 100cc honda? No thanks. You have a MASSIVE knowledge base, and I admire that
I try to focus on stuff one does not see everyday. I like Z1s but every show has some, they go in price from 15K to 35K, but just 4 years ago, they were $8500. So I dont chase them. As for the pre WWI bikes, I just dont know enough about them to say anything, but I did buy a 1915 Triumph Model H in Iowa this summer.
You can't pronounce dania?
Not without hearing someone else say it first. Think Reading, Pennsylvania, it is not like reading a book.
u always touchin and messin with peoples stuff man ask first opening closed containers bending cabels out of the way fiddling man ask first u didnt buy it
