Has PWS thought about making 556 uppers long than 7" but short than 11"? I really want an upper to throw my can on with an adjustable gas block. My mk114 is too long with a can.

We have, but we most likely won't do it as a normal production item. But, it has been proposed for an Alpha rifle build in the future. The 11.85 barrel lengths on our current MK111 uppers give us the best dwell time for 556. I run one of those with our BDE 556 can in the short configuration and it doesn't feel long at all. Perfectly balanced in my opinion.

@@PrimaryWeaponsSystems thanks for the info. I'll keep my eyes peeled for any limited runs in the future and maybe test my can out on my buddies 11" pws to see how it feels.

I have a PWS Mk107, Mk111 and Mk114. The mk111 with SiCo Omega feels light, short, and perfect sweet spot. No gas face, no reliability issues. It just eats any ammo and clean up easy. Lube lasts longer.
My mk107 isn't as accurate, and lower velocity is on par with 300blk probably around 1800 to 2000 compared to 2400. It's a great little MP5 sized gun, but mk111 gets better accuracy and velocity and only costs an additional two or three inches if you count the muzzle flash Can. Mk107 doesn't run well without a muzzle device. And mk107 cooks Cans. Big flash. Most of the powder burns after leaving the gun. It's basically the same roll as MP5 or UZI, but more concussion.
My mk114 mod2 runs really well. I prefer it over knights, colt, LMT, LWRC or hk416. It's lightweight, runs any ammo, longer slower kick than Colt or knights. I prefer the easy cleaning nitride finish over parkerized.
But I'm thinking of buying a Mk109 in 300blk. Seems like a perfect sized gun. And the 300blk does well with that length of barrel. Good energy and bullet expansion with supers.. Plus subsonic ammo is paintball quiet with a suppressor.
I wish PWS would make one more batch of mk109
I only see them used on gunbroker once a year.

@@kassenz We will be getting some MK109s back out on the market very soon. We wanted to make some updates to them before we got them back out. We on the lookout for some content dropping soon, as well as our email.

Will PWS make a 308 rifle without a match cut chamber for guys who want to use it as a battle rifle? Dont wanna polish a chamber down and void the warranty.

Does the Alpha LT upper weigh less than the MK114 Mod 1 upper?

Does the alpha have an upgraded barrel or is it the same good barrels across the line?

This upper still has the normal 1/8 barrel like our other uppers but has an exposed gas adjustment system, which is my favorite compared to the normal setup.

The MK113 Alpha was a limit run item. This is essentially an upper version of that with a few changes.

@@TrixterGD The barrel is the biggest difference. 1:8 on this upper instead of the 1:7.
