  • I'll eventually show you in this video how to get good results with extremely cheap watercolor brush pens on cheap sketchbook paper. But I also found myself talking about other sketchbook worthy pens, markers and pencils ( Alcohol markers like those Copics and Faber-Castell Pitt artist pens). And why I prefer the cheap watercolor pens instead.
    00:00 - An introduction
    02:00 - The Faber-Castell Pitt artist pens
03:33 - That watercolor pen trick I keep on talking about
    05:09 - 'Why didn't you use a water brush?'
05:40 - Fastest sunset in the west
05:53 - Water dip pen trick continued...
06:54 - Pencils are good too I guess
08:01 - Swirling color matching trick ( Wish that was a better demo)
08:37 - My bad opinion of Alcohol Markers
09:02 - I've gone insane ( with the chapters as well)
09:16 - My bad opinion of Alcohol Markers continued
10:38 - Some rough buying advice
11:53 - Filling in the holes with rambling.

I use watercolor markers on plastics, and often I just draw right on the plastic with the marker and add a little water with a water brush. I find that the tombow markers work pretty well.
For travel though, I really like to use peerless watercolor sheets that I've cut and made into a booklet. It's lightweight, dries fast and travels very well.
