- Red Bull have unveiled major upgrades for the Imola GP, as Max Verstappen aims to take revenge for defeat in Miami. Ferrari are also bringing a major upgrade package, and Charles Leclerc is targeting pole. Adrian Newey confirms he will almost certainly return to the grid, like to Fred Vasseur's team.

@@groundhabit6408 lol the challenge is bringing Ferrari back to winning championships…he has had wins with both McLaren and Williams historic teams…Ferrari is the only one left in his illustrious career…Aston martin has no legacy if he wanted to join them he might as well have not left red bull…moreover he hates Lawrence stroll and Saudi money….and the fact that Aston martin has one good driver that too is going to retire in a 2 years at most….about merc again he has had differences with merc and it’s relatively a new team as well (I don’t count the few seasons merc had in the 1950s)….snd they are in the a steep slope with engineers and drivers leaving them for other teams…moreover he has had already made it clear that he regrets not working with Ferrari when they have already approached him 3 times all these years…Williams doesn’t have the facilities to reach at the top and would be for atleast a decade…newer has at most 4-5 years more before he isn’t too enthusiastic to move the whole year for f1…not to mention he can also work on Ferrari road cars

@@Fredhamnewey that’s not a challenge. That’s a easy task with him joining. Ferrari is already showing signs of improving without him … joining will not do anything for Newey. A challenge is taking a team that had no business being at the front back ti the front and competing. Newey doesn’t care much for the road cars and wasn’t happy with the RB17 road car taking so much from him. Like you said he has had 3 chances and put them all down. and whenever he speaks of working with Lewis and Alonso he spoke in past tense and never as someone that’s open for the future. Only time will tell , but Newey specifically said he wants a challenge. Joining Ferrari isn’t a challenge at all.

@@ok-dy2tz Yeah right. It’s called overtaking under braking. Just as Max did on the last lap but Lewis managed to rejoin behind him there didn’t he. Didn’t see Lewis drive all over the side of the circuit because it would have cost him time. Lewis on the first lap couldn’t just rejoin behind max could he. No Lewis decided to join the track 5 miles further on and gain a mile on everyone. The only time in F1 history that a cheating driver wasn’t made to give the place back. How lucky his mum and dad were the stewards that day 😂😂😂
@stableianF1oracle max didn't force lewis off on the last lap, he left a car width. On the first lap he didn't leave a cars width, so lewis had to back out to avoid a crash. It's not rocket science lmao
@@ok-dy2tz Always good to hear back from Lewis’s mum. So just to confirm there was a huge wall stopping Lewis rejoining the track on the chicane so that’s why Lewis had to drive off up the road. Oh hang on I’ve just checked there wasn’t anything to stop Lewis rejoining the track except Lewis knew he would lose position. As they say revenge is a dish best served cold and the last lap was the greatest revenge real fans hoped for and got. So funny seeing dopey Lewis on the last lap thinking he’s so good at braking there’s no way Max can get past and Max says hold my beer 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Yeah, they would take the *sides* down to the floor ;) He's talking about the 1970's Lotus cars. They effectively had bars on the side of the car they could lower. They were outlawed not much later.
If Newey does not end up going to Ferrari. The entertainment factory of the next few years will be lowered for sure. I want to see those beautiful cars back in the lead. It's been 17 years....

Nice seeing Seb wondering around. If Antonelli is any good, he will be at Ferrari pretty quickly, if not completely locked down. Newey, but which team, Zac was at the Oyster yacht thing, but who will he choose. The RB is just an evolution of last years and the year before, so Newey probably did have a big influence.
Great video as always. I think that you should have a section of your video where you have a poll, asking your viewers as to whether they would like to see stuff like (1) the FIA bringing back full combustion engines with sustainable fuels, (2) should they give out points to the entire grid; I believe this is an interesting one, because we can see at the end of the year how the driver's placed according to the points scored. (3) should the FIA increase the number of sprint races and stuff like that. I think it will be interesting to see what your audience thinks and who knows maybe someone in the FIA might pick this up and make changes that we want to see. I have been watching your videos everyday from the start and I think you keep us informed and have built up a following that listens to your take on the matter and I believe this segment can add to your content. Just my two cents, take it for what it's worth. Great video as always.

They need to do drive throughs again instead of 5-10 secone penalties. They cant keep people behind them by driving dirty from the pit lane.

Newey uses ellipses, because that's the typical lift distribution of wings, it also leads to more aesthetically pleasing shapes. Like the Spitfire for instance, all the shapes are blended together, the wings are elliptical.

I don’t think any teams will be able to effectively bring an upgrade worth 4-5 tenths out of Ferarri, Mclaren and Redbull. I think 1-2 tenths would be a massive improvement for all of them but who knows could be possible for the other teams but I don’t think Redbull for sure.
oh yeah it's so over infact that both McLaren and Ferrari are on the verge of catching RB even though RB was already bringing updates whereas Mclaren brought theirs at Miami and Ferrari at Imola

A 1+ for Sainz to Mercedes is so much better of a choice. The plus be if he beats George in points. Gives him an opportunity to find a better team without the crazy driver mash.

I don't know about upgrades. I after P1 I thought Max had it going but he's having a hard time keeping it on track in P2. What's interesting about Max is the amount of complaining he does when the car doesn't work. We don't often hear it because the car is near perfect. This year may be different.
I think what's going on is Max just wants to go fast but if the car isn't agreeable he ends up off track.
My Imola pre-qulali predictions: 1-Lecclerc, 2-Sainz, 3-Norris, 4-Hamilton, 5-Piastri, 6-Verstappen, 7-Russel, 8-Perez, 9-Tsunoda, 10-Alonso

It's different with Max. When Hamilton complains, it's pretty severe. The car is undrivable. We've heard Russel say similar. You can tell when there is something actually wrong with the car. When max complains, he's competitive. He even complains when he's running first. We'll see how quali goes and race.
Its pretty simple isn't it, verstappen was proof, its not about how young you are, its about how you drive the car and handle the pressures of F1. Theres too many idiots that never drove in F1, pretending they know how other young drivers will handle the oppertunity
There is no such thing as aerodynamics sealing of the floor. There is always gonna be inwash of air from the floor edges into the diffusor, and that's what boosts the diffuser performance and increase aerodynamic performance of the car. I like your videos, but these technical details matter as well.

all the teams can bring in different side pods, floors, different front wings, back wing it don't matter. Truth is it's all about engine and always has been. RedBull have the best engine for this set of regulation. No other team will win the championship until 2026.

All the talk about Newey is quite exaggerated, he was released from RB and there are probably reasons for that. He's clearly managed to create a brand for himself, but it is what it is - there are many in his position who can make a good car, like the one who actually did it in RB, Waché.

Given that ALL F1 teams have to adhere to a HARD BUDGET CAP, they will have the exact same amount of money to produce their car as everyone else. They earn more than the operating budget through sponsorships and their new/current ownership, and they have their own state of the art wind tunnel, so it doesn't make sense to say you don't think Williams have the resources.
You kids really need to think things through a bit more thoroughly.

I was thinking similar, Ferrari serves to tick his milestone boxes like working with Hamilton and working with the heritage team, but A.) moving to Maranello!? Mmm, doubt and B.) it doesn’t seem like a huge challenge to jump on the Ferrari resurgence at the last second, whereas building up Williams or Andretti, (if they actually ever get let in) especially under new rega seems more on brand.
