How to Add a Timer to a Well Pump...Another Rancho Project

- In this video I show how to add a protective timer to a well water pump so that if a an irrigation line break does unexpectedly occur, the pump will shut off after a certain amount of time. This will save energy and water.
BACKGROUND
Power is expensive in Northern California, especially since PG&E has had to increase rates due to wildfire damage. Water is scarce too. On my Rancho over the years I have experienced many irrigation line leaks and breaks. When this happens the water pump can run for days pumping water which is being wasted on the ground somewhere. This has been expensive. A well pump timer that only allows electricity during predetermined times seemed an ideal solution to prevent runaway pumping.

Rosie, quick question. Did any1 ever say 2 u when u were looking 4/buying your home a comment like "well water on a property is like gold?" My ex & my home had well water & we got comments like that all the time when some1 realized we had both city & well water on r property. Just curious. Ty Jen & 👍 as usual 😘
