Rafale 💪🇫🇷 We are truly proud of that beauty from France 😉 Respect to India, Greece and maybe Croatia who will or did buy it 🇮🇳🇬🇷🇭🇷🇫🇷 Coming from the country that won the most of wars and battles in the world.
Amazing machines, I'm prud that we will buy them. 600€ from me, and every working person in Croatia on average, is a fair price for knowing that 12 of those amazing birds will protect us from the sky :) Greetings from Croatia :)
I can answer the question in the title as many people, the Rafale would won, simply because it already won vs f16 in red flags and many other training exercises, by a large difference in the scores of victories. Without to forgot it was against all the best pilots and Airforces in the world. Rafale is a very aggressive fighter jet as USAF pilots told.
It won't tho, it's hard to say because controled combat is one thing and irl combat is another. Rafael's bigest weakness is the delta wing, yeah it can turn better ONCE and that's it, it can maneuver better, ONCE because the delta wing bleeds a shit ton of speed in tight maneuvers. So in a first merge the Rafael will turn better and that's it, on longer extended combat it's kinda fucked. VS multiple bandits is also fucked because every cool tight turn will bleed dramatically more and more energy to the point were it's biggest advantage, that being maneuverability is taken away, not slowly, but after the first tight turn. If we take în consideration the flare patern the f16 has we can asume its pretty random if the first hit of the Rafael will hit or not, if it dosent it's gg because a second turn whit a delta wing would either make the rafel not turn fast enough or it's ability to turn tight is not gonna be there (which is pretty important when fighting an f16). Again we are not talking about friendly fights we are talking about real combat, that's why it's hard to say.
@@ComradeNegrisor69 You answer is very long, but it sounds like turning around and always repeating the same things. Sorry I didn't really understand what you wanted to point out.
@@drmorcoch9338 its turn rate would entail that the pilot will go for the 1 circle anyway. IF it ever comes to BFM, doubtful... That is IF the F16 survives 2 Meteors shot between 200 and 70 Km (its effective range is twice that of the AMRAAM, with a variable thrust ramjet instead of inertia).
Please don’t be bias when you do these comparison videos. It’s ok if another country has something better than the US does. It doesn’t really mean anything.
Shut up idiot what makes you think Rafale is better like wtf F 16 block 70 72 has AN/APG 83 Radar which is a more advance generation AESA radar than RBE2 AESA radar used in Rafale also APG 83 Radar is more powerful with way more TR modules and moreover a single F 16 GE F 110 engine produces thrust up to 127 kn while rafale with two engine combined just produces 140 kn thrust also F 16 is much faster and superior in both dogfight and BVR since it has lower RCS due to it not having canards and being nimble also F 16 has a combat win ratio of 57:1 while Rafale has neither that many kills nor has as much proven combat sorties as F 16. And those who call Rafale Omni role jet so for those who need to hear let me be clear F 16 is also an omnirole jet actually because in multirole payload config F 16 can carry 3 hellfire missiles 4 air to air missile 2 unguided bombs and one laser guided bomb and change from air to air to air to ground mode easily
Between two equally skilled pilots, at long BVR the Rafale has an edge because it has smaller RCS so it will be detected later so it has the opportunity to fire first. At medium BVR they are equal. In a dogfight, the Rafale will have an edge in the beginning of the dogfight, but the F-16 will have the edge as (and if) the dogfight drags on.
depends what you call "medium". The effective range of the Meteor is quite formidable compared with a classic AMRAAM. At 70 Kms dodging a Meteor Fox3 is very perilous. Even though it ranges up to 200 Kms, 70 kms is its real kill zone while the ramjet is still able to use variable thrust instead of sheer inertia and thus maneuver in a way the AMRAAM cannot. Add to that the Magic Infrared missiles can actually lock and shoot beyond visual range.

@chief Sunna of the Saxons From my understanding the Rafale vs Eurofighter is the same - close but could go either way (and that Eurofighter is a better dogfighter but Rafale has carrier capability, cost and strike missions).
@chief Sunna of the Saxons In a dogfight the Eurofighter would definitely have the advantage - but many fights don't get to that level, plus why do you say the Typhoon has better weapons?
Really happy for your country brother. The planes are just incredible. Don't let the trolls bully you online. Your planes are as good as new and f3 version is pretty good.
As a Greek- german, born in Hellas( Greece) and grew up in Germany, I am glad, hat the country of my origin , Greece, has both aircraft. Both of them are good multi role fighters, the rafale seems to be more modern. It depends on the strategy, tactics and the skills of the pilots flying them. The F-16 V is indeed a bit older but very combat experienced, its weapons were succesfully tested in combat operations.
I think - Rafale also has state-of-the-art armament and highly advanced orientation and cooperation systems, but its maneuverability is superior to the improved versions of the F-16.
@@biojohn12 manouverability and modernisation is irrelevant as now dogfights are irrelevant BVR and missiles electronic warfare changes everything basically its who strikes first etc also it's wrong analogy to state that either fighter has been successful in real warfare as mostly they are used in places like Afghanistan syria or libya either of these countries have no competent airforces, fighter jets or SAM systems however F16 armament and electronic warfare is proven to be better no example of a more successful platform since last 40 years than F16
@@MohammedShafiq-id5ov I completely agree with this view. F16V is actually very technologically advanced. The US weapons and targeting systems + countermeasure or jammers are superior to any air force in the world. That accompanied by the improved V platform, new AESA, is a winning formula, + the availability of spare engines, availability of parts and reliability is known to the international market. Quite a no brainer over the Rafale
@@ConstantineJoseph but the F16V cannot carry the weapons the Rafale can. With the Rafale Greece can hit deep in enemies territory with devastating effect.
As an American I will admit the Rafale wins in the technical aspect but given the Vipers combat experience and proven lethality its a toss up all I can hope for is we never have to find out who the better fighter truly is.
Yeah UAE have bought these aircrafts in 2016, instantly regrets them and is looking for alternatives....while F-16 have 5th generation tech, radars and targeting system.
The airframe of Rafale are real more modern the older f16 but That depand real of standard. A Rafale F1 Vs F16 block 75 have aboat 20 year electronic difference. ( the avionic is beter on the block 75 in all aspect) In F3 and the F16 block 75 have a litel advantage in BVR for F16 But vs the F3R the Rafale with Meteor missiles ( no match) Rafale have avantage in all aspect of combat. This is important beacause France sell half in F3 for Greec And have lot of French F3 not retrofitted.
@FUCK SHIT 11G is in a meeting, almost empty of fuel and without any weapons. The reality is that most of the time the Rafale are at 6G considering the weight under the wings. It is always possible to drop the fuel tank and GBU bomb (and if you are close, you have probably already fired your Fox3 and Only Fox 2 in the and of wings (Mica Ir missile)) This is Fox 2 verry long range capable (like Fox 3) In combat the pilots rarely push more than 9 and on very short maneuvers. The Delta + Dassault flight controls (the best control in the world) Make the aicraft turn super tight and generally take in 1-2 turns, a decisive advantage over the big fighters. The F16 is an aircraft that moves well, it is light and retains energy well, this is not an easy to beat (especialy if the pilote are good and experimented). (Although the Rafale's turning capacity is slightly better. This extremely short turn capacity of the Rafale is no better than of the Mirage 2000. Mirage which already moves very well. On the other hand, the Rafale does as a 2000 with 3 tonnes more on the balance (This is unbelievable) The real difference is probably more in the climb rate, the Rafale is a modern fighter with much more engine power (even if the delta strongly degrades the energy in Angle of attack, the 2 engines push to 15 tons makes it quickly resume. speed and altitude (potential energy). BVR and collaborative combat, everything depends on the standard. There is a lot of diferent standart. in Block 72 standard (best standard for F16) F16 are litel beter Rafale in F3 But the Rafale in F3R, VS Block 72, no match. (BVR Meteor integration) Is important to know because Croatia and Greek buy also secondary hand F3 standart. It is not sure that the sultanate of Erdogan (Turkey) will never upgrade their old F16c to a standard close to F16 block 72 (it would then have a standart advantage and especially the number of aircraft) Israel can provide upgrades and Fox 3 missile at very competitive prices. And Israel likes to equip radical Islamists against the West. (This is a tradition) Already that Quatar has brought to Erdogan its Rafales (Operation Eagle of Anatolia) for Turks analyze it and know how Rafale work. They would be good to quickly modernize its in new standards. Against the Ottoman ampire, the hegemonic desire of the Sultant We will never be careful enough. An excellent analysis, the F-16 is of course an exceptional aircraft, especially the viper version. But still, RAFALE is a much more serious aircraft, the best in the 4.5 generation aircraft, that's for sure. The only advantage of the F-16 is a slightly higher speed, but that does not play a serious role today, more precisely it is not crucial. You forgot the SPECTRA system only for the protection of airplanes, there is nothing similar to the F-16, nor many other airplanes even 5 generations ... You also did a comparison, the latest and best versions of the F-16 viper. And Older versions of RAFALE F3 / F3R. Since a new version of F4 has already been released. It is even much better, especially when avionics and radar are in question. So the range is now over 200 km. Or if you want over, 125 miles. Also nothing like the METEOR missiles which are the best in the world class of long range BVR. And, MICA short to medium range missiles ... There is no F-16. So RAFALE can be compared more to the F-35 than to the F-16 from which it is much better.
Yep there are a lot of things missing here because there is no point of comparison between a 4.5 Rafale F3 or F4 and a modernized F16. Rafale is not even an interceptor but a current gen jack of all trades with electronic warfare and top secret subsystems. They're just trying to focus on a BFM competition which is kind of pointless in real combat situations. The likelyhood of a merge has never been so low. A pair of Rafales (always flying in pairs) will shoot its Meteors long before an F16 has had a chance to detect it and lock on to it. Even modernized, the F16 is a completely different philosophy from the 70s, taking into account the lessons learnt against Mig-21s during the Vietnam war (they needed to learn how to dogfight since their Fox 3s were much less efficient back then). F16 is mainly a dogfighter retrofitted with modern BVR.
Depends on which version of each fighter that you’re talking about, and of course pilot skill. The latest block F-16 has superior radar. The USA has been at the forefront of AESA radar, having it in service for over twenty years. The Rafale is France’s first fighter with AESA. At dogfighting it really comes down to pilot skill and some luck as both fighters are incredibly agile.
@@Thetequilashooter1 France has significant technical experience and know-how; firms like Thales did not just start manufacturing AESA radars from scratch yesterday. They have been researching AESA for decades and implemented it in several land and naval platforms. And no, F-16V does not have a superior radar because its APG-83 AESA radar is a seriously watered-down version of the F-35's APG-81 radar (because of F-16 retrofit restrictions). Actually, Rafale's capabilities in all critical aspects (including maneuverability) are superior.
the rafale would take the lead, in different disciplines the latest Viper is formidable! An Airforce with both Rafale's and F16V block 72 in large numbers as well as F35's, with air to air refuelling capabilities, would be unstoppable!

On paper, it seems like the Rafale is better. However, the F-16 is combat tested in several conflicts. In addition, the F-16 has been used in Wild Weasel functions.
I would think that the Rafale is the better of the two as it’s a much newer airframe. The latest block F-16 has superior avionics. The USA has been fielding AESA radar in its fighters for around two decades. Even during the MMRCA tender India’s Air Chief stated that the USA had the best weapons, radars and systems, but at that time the Meteor was not around, which is a huge game changer for BVR combat. All and all, it would come down to pilot skill, which fighter has a better support system, and obviously some luck. One thing for certain is that they’re a deadly team.
@@Stephano.MBravo1 The latest model F-16’s AESA is top notch, but I am not putting down the Rafale’s avionics by any means. It’s just that the USA has been fielding AESA for over twenty years and has it in thousands of aircraft, while France just recently started putting it in its Rafales.

I can say the same argument to you, go and read about the latest Viper, the F-16V. Here’s a blurb about its AESA: The APG-83 AESA radar enables greater detection and tracking ranges, multiple target track (20-plus target tracks), high-resolution Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) maps for all-environment precision strike, interleaved air-to-air and air-to-surface mode operations for improved situational awareness, operational effectiveness and survivability; and robust electronic protection for operations in dense radio frequency (RF) environments. The APG-83 also provides greater overall system reliability and availability-three to five times that of legacy MSCAN radars. Another key feature of the F-16V configuration is the new Center Pedestal Display (CPD), which provides critical tactical imagery to pilots on a high-resolution 6”x 8” screen. The high-resolution display allows Pilot to take full advantage of AESA and Targeting Pod data. The new CPD enables color moving maps, larger and easier to manage air-to-air Situation Displays, zoom functionality with the ability to switch information among displays, and digital display of Flight Instrument Data. The CPD is also compatible with the Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS).

These two aircraft, along with the tandem seat F-18 Super Hornet are the most SEXY looking aircraft flying today.... Something about the stretched cockpit and fuselage sets off the proportions PERFECTLY.
Rafale F4 (I think the F5 version is about to come) seems to be a great aircraft and french pilots clearly saw a leap forward when they make their transition from the Mirage 2000 and the Rafale. It's more intuitive, more responsive, it has better technology, maneuverability, and so on... Now the F-16 is clearly a veteran, it's more than capable to do the job. But on the battlefield, I would give a slight advantage to the Rafale, because of its better RCS compared to the F-16, I think it would give the pilot a little delay to lock and shoot some missiles at the F-16 before this one can shoot back. Even if I'm well aware that stealth does not make everything in combat, it gives some advantages. Not only that but the optronic ball integrated into the Rafale structure was able to detect the famous F-22, and potentially shoot it down, so it could have a chance against the older F-16. But there are so many variables in combat (weather conditions, anti-air defense systems, jamming, human factor,....) that it's hard to clearly give an advantage to one or another aircraft.

not really, i thought the latest rafale was around 120 million and the f16v 90 million or so. the Eurofighter and f15 strike eagle are also 100 million plus so europe and USA doesnt have many aircraft under 100 million. The gripen NG is far more expensive then the c/d version which is a different aircraft like the hornet is to the super hornet.
The rafale can do every mission very well, bombing, dog fight, every mission That's why France only use the rafale exept for training in wich one we use the mirage 2000
I think it depends upon nation to nation. If its a nation like USA which is more about dropping bomb and getting oit of there, f16 better, but if its a nation like India which expects dogfights to occure, rafale is a much better option
Both are amazing warplanes. I think the Rafale has a slight edge but in the unlikely event these two came to blows, it would be entirely dépendant on this aircraft has the better pilot. I would love if you could do a Grippen vs F16/Rafale comparison. For some reason Canada did not include the F16 and Rafale in it's contenders for the F18 replacement. I have always felt the F16 was a better airplane than the F18 but the F18 was chosen for it's twin engine configuration because of the vast areas our fighters have to cover. Yes the F35, a single engine plane is one of the choices being considered so I guess that is no longer a concern for the Royal Canadian Air Force.

"For some reason, Canada did not include Rafale". You are not aware of what happens : Dassault Aviation choose not to present Rafale because of the conditions asked by the Canadian government. It means just last US aircraft were allowed to participate. (As usual, with big pressure from US government) 😇
My country, Greece, has both fighters. Although i think the winner is the better fighter in med-low altitudes if you consider the modern battlefield parameters. I would prefer the fighting falcon due to its proven combat experience and success.
i am greek too.And rafale's capabilities are better in 90%of all the aspects, pilot's level play a role but i would feel much safer in a rafale rather in a falcon.both of them are a great combo for haf
The Meteor has been tested extensively on training targets and the Rafale has been tested in Iraq, it's its main selling point actually. Meteors are a competely different gen from the AMRAAM: 200 Km range and 70Km "killzone" with variable thrust ramjet and good onboard radar. (It means that it can regain speed even if the defender maneuvers a lot to make it lose energy and starts at Mach 5 making it hard to dodge at half its max range). It's on a par with the AIM-260 albeit slower. So it's very hard to draw that comparison in BVR, it's a complete generation gap. Former Rafale pilots aren't even allowed to talk about the Meteor in detail beyond what we already know. A 4.5 ever evolving jet which lacks only one thing to be 5the gen: stealth. And still even that is debatable as its Radar cross section is really small with radar absorbent material and advanced jamming. It's very hard to draw a comparison between a true 2000s omnirole stuffed with technology in a small frame and a modernized 70s dogfighter. the F4 standard makes a huge difference though, its aim is to make the Rafale relevant until 2060 when the 6th gen French or European fighter will be available. Anyway the likelyhood of a merge between a Rafale and a F-16 is very very low... A pair of Rafale would engage with 4 Meteors long before the F-16 locks, tough break... And they will always be allies anyway. It's a bit like asking for a match between a F-22 and a F-16 : the F-22 would have to give a chance to the F-16 on purpose. Its interconnectivity, like that of the Rafale, makes it very unlikely to lose situationnal awareness and be taken by surprise by a non-stealth aircraft. All in all the Rafale is pretty much a F-35 in terms of avionics and electronic warfare, minus stealth but with much better maneuverability and reliability. The one thing the Rafale has against it is its engines that are meant to be compact and pack less punch because Safran refused to upgrade it : Pilots complain about its degraded reactivity when fully loaded with missiles and external fuel tanks.
I don't wanna go technical (cuz the video went there) but the Viper has seen decades of war and has been developed and upgraded to perfection, being a workhorse and spearhead at the same time. Rafale is a new toy but it needs years and years to reach that advantage. F-16s can take on any fighter jet, they will always be those veterans that can humble a newcomer any time.
@@biodidu25 age does not define the aircraft experience. I meant experience for what it has been designed for. F-16 has performed all over the world, therefore it has been upgraded to not perfection, but almost, as it has and still is the most operated jet in the world by most nations. Rafale has only been used mainly by one country, and that doesn't really test it under all circumstances. Again, that doesn't mean it's not a capable fighter, just not that experienced.

F-16, a phenomenonal aircraft - it has already secured a top place in the history military aviation. The much younger Rafale is another 'state-of-art' war machinery. It is better than F-16, much more expensive as well. But that is because (a) Rafale is twin engine whereas F-16 is single engine jet fighter, (b) Rafale is a newer platform with still scope for further advancement whereas F-16 is an older platform that has already reached its saturation point as far as further significant advancements are concerned.
The Rafale has the edge against older F16's. Its up to situational luck for newer models. Though unlikely in not a vacuum the Rafale simply has no hope assuming it's an American F16 vs anyone flying the rafales as the environment would mostly support US air superiority.

You are correct i think. Rafale as an attack aircraft can monitor 40 targets and the same time makes 3d maps of the terrain. With french weapons and with the incredible spectra can hit and go from a long distances. The live example is the 4rafales that bombs Turkish camp in libya, no antiair saw them, no ship saw them they hit and go with 100% success from long distance. The f-16v will be excellent addition as support role. The major difference is that rafale can carry much better air to air missile as meteor and air to ground cruise missile as scalp eg. Although viper is equal opponet for rafale at dogfights. The airforce that has both of them is very lucky
Sadly with the new provocations of Turkey against Greece, the fact the Turkey now wants to invade the Greek Aegean Islands... And if Russia gets it's way in Ukraine, then Turkey will come after Greece, and then we will have Greek Rafale's against Turkish F-16, ok they are not the vipers but they are still F-16's. Greece also flies the F16 and soon the F35... Also pilots matter a lot and Greek pilots receive advance training in the USA at USAF Weapons School (it's the Air Force equivalent of Top Gun). Anyway this might happen, fingers crossed it doesn't.
If I remember there are footage of virtual dogfights of rafale against other jet fights countries military events on UA-cam. Rafale beats the shit out of f-16 or another jet fights without offending anyone.
There are dogfights simulation yes. Anyway Rafale officially won all the competitions since in service (Brazil, Singapore, india, Netherlands, Switzerland, South Korea...), rated on the 5 factors: reliability, general function, weaponry, electronic warfare/avionics, supportive combat capability.
If you are comparing two for multirole operations, rafale is a clear winner. It's more powerfull, can carry more, has more lift and has less radar footprint. However in a dogfight viper is a beast.

Facts
Yes i totally agree.
In a dogfight, the Rafale will have an edge in the beginning of the dogfight, but the F-16 will have the edge as (and if) the dogfight drags on.
do the f16 has the meteor missile ? because meteor actually is the state of the art BVR missile unsurpassed by american counterparts
medium BVR Rafale still wins, Meteor has better flight performance than AMRAAM
depends what you call "medium".

It is always possible to drop the fuel tank and GBU bomb (and if you are close, you have probably already fired your Fox3 and Only Fox 2 in the and of wings (Mica Ir missile)) This is Fox 2 verry long range capable (like Fox 3)
In combat the pilots rarely push more than 9 and on very short maneuvers.
The Delta + Dassault flight controls (the best control in the world)
Make the aicraft turn super tight and generally take in 1-2 turns, a decisive advantage over the big fighters.
On the other hand, the Rafale does as a 2000 with 3 tonnes more on the balance (This is unbelievable)
The real difference is probably more in the climb rate, the Rafale is a modern fighter with much more engine power (even if the delta strongly degrades the energy in Angle of attack, the 2 engines push to 15 tons makes it quickly resume. speed and altitude (potential energy).
BVR and collaborative combat, everything depends on the standard.
There is a lot of diferent standart.
in Block 72 standard (best standard for F16) F16 are litel beter Rafale in F3
But the Rafale in F3R, VS Block 72, no match. (BVR Meteor integration)
Is important to know because Croatia and Greek buy also secondary hand F3 standart.
It is not sure that the sultanate of Erdogan (Turkey) will never upgrade their old F16c to a standard close to F16 block 72
(it would then have a standart advantage and especially the number of aircraft)
Israel can provide upgrades and Fox 3 missile at very competitive prices.

Even during the MMRCA tender India’s Air Chief stated that the USA had the best weapons, radars and systems, but at that time the Meteor was not around, which is a huge game changer for BVR combat. The APG-83 AESA radar enables greater detection and tracking ranges, multiple target track (20-plus target tracks), high-resolution Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) maps for all-environment precision strike, interleaved air-to-air and air-to-surface mode operations for improved situational awareness, operational effectiveness and survivability; and robust electronic protection for operations in dense radio frequency (RF) environments.
8.6/10 - Rafale
Greece doesn't care which is the best. We have both F16V (we currently update our Block 52+/Adv.) and Rafale.

I would say the French Rafael is better.
Looking at unit cost, it seems you can get almost two F16V for the cost of one Rafale.
Would you want to go to battle with half the number of jets (Rafale)?
not really, i thought the latest rafale was around 120 million and the f16v 90 million or so. the Eurofighter and f15 strike eagle are also 100 million plus so europe and USA doesnt have many aircraft under 100 million. The gripen NG is far more expensive then the c/d version which is a different aircraft like the hornet is to the super hornet.
The rafale can do every mission very well, bombing, dog fight, every mission
That's why France only use the rafale exept for training in wich one we use the mirage 2000
It's not operated by an AI, you need very experimented pilots
Well 1 rafale can delete 8 vipers
I think it depends upon nation to nation. If its a nation like USA which is more about dropping bomb and getting oit of there, f16 better, but if its a nation like India which expects dogfights to occure, rafale is a much better option
Rafale (and mirage2000) can deliver scalp eg missiles with a range of 500km..
What u wanna say USA runs away 🤬🤬
Rafale Indonesia 💪
Not a defense expert but I can say F 16 is battle proven.
well the Rafale also Lybia, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan ...
@@christophefournier5126 Rafale did not go into Syria, Iraq or Afghanistan. It was mostly USAF that were in Iraq and Syria.
Rafale Rules !!!
Yes the F35, a single engine plane is one of the choices being considered so I guess that is no longer a concern for the Royal Canadian Air Force.
he all ready made a video F16 vs the gripen and the gripen has better radar i think its just a matter of who didects who first their is no more dog fightes
@@samouellesam667 Thanks! Will go check the video library
"For some reason, Canada did not include Rafale". You are not aware of what happens : Dassault Aviation choose not to present Rafale because of the conditions asked by the Canadian government. It means just last US aircraft were allowed to participate. (As usual, with big pressure from US government) 😇
@@thierrymilan2039 But we are considering the Grippen which is not a US company...
@@Calendyr Yes, the Gripen is european but made in cooperation with the USA with many US components like the engine.
Rafale is absolutely sexy plane currently, I like the design
My country, Greece, has both fighters. Although i think the winner is the better fighter in med-low altitudes if you consider the modern battlefield parameters. I would prefer the fighting falcon due to its proven combat experience and success.
i am greek too.And rafale's capabilities are better in 90%of all the aspects, pilot's level play a role but i would feel much safer in a rafale rather in a falcon.both of them are a great combo for haf
AND NOW YOU ARE GOING FOR F 35 .... IT WILL MAKE YOUR AIF FORCE DEADLY .....
great video waiting on best attack drones in the world keep the good work man
Clearly rafale would win.
Rafale is a furious beast!!!
Rafale is by far better in all aspects.
hell no

Greeks:We don't care who airplane is better for someone to have.We have and the two airplanes on our airforce.
The Rafale is 35 years old!

I wonder about the accuracy of the specs. I doubt that the majority of f-16's are upgraded with the newest gadgets and extras. Especially considering how long it's been in production.
Its the newer V variant
F-16, a phenomenonal aircraft - it has already secured a top place in the history military aviation. The much younger Rafale is another 'state-of-art' war machinery. It is better than F-16, much more expensive as well. But that is because (a) Rafale is twin engine whereas F-16 is single engine jet fighter, (b) Rafale is a newer platform with still scope for further advancement whereas F-16 is an older platform that has already reached its saturation point as far as further significant advancements are concerned.
Rafale
Why not have both in your arsenal. Wink from Hellas ...

Rafale better then f16...no doubt
Maybe in your dreams
The Rafale has the edge against older F16's. Its up to situational luck for newer models. Though unlikely in not a vacuum the Rafale simply has no hope assuming it's an American F16 vs anyone flying the rafales as the environment would mostly support US air superiority.
Rafale and F16 Viper....Greece will get 20 of the beauties and will upgrade more then 70 of their F16 to Viper...we will rule the air in the Ägäis and in East med! 🇬🇷✝️🇬🇷✝️🇬🇷

F16 Block 72 and Block 72 would knock anything off the sky… in the correct hands…
I'm french, so i prefert the rafale ....
you also look at cost, how many are made, and the ability to cover areas of air defense. then also look at how advanced the f16 was at the time of introduction, then you look at also almost a decade difference in design
Very well presented comparison 👍
Lmao comparing the rafale to the f-16. Then why not comparing the mirage 2000 to the F-22?
m2kc already won against f22
@@Lebn18 it depends on pilot, thx
Did you actually use the Block 70 specs for this comparison 🤔
Rafale has better Availability and can supercruise as well.also it is 40 years younger. F-16 is best as a support aircraft with f-15s...not as a strike aircraft..almost every actual battle missions had a combination of f-16s with other fighters..never alone
Between these two aircraft, more than anything it would come down to the pilot. I’m glad they will never have to go up against each other.

RAFALE WINS CLEARLY !! 😍😍
You haven't said anything about rafale's spectra system, which is another form of stealthiness!
The F16V is very good but the Rafale is much better.
Both great and superbe machine. Rafale coast 115M $ vs F-16 64M$. Game changer for any air Force
No rafale 60-75m$
is there a simulation fight for these jets? Rafale seems better since it is younger...
If I remember there are footage of virtual dogfights of rafale against other jet fights countries military events on UA-cam.
Rafale beats the shit out of f-16 or another jet fights without offending anyone.
Rafale win In dogfight simulation against f16 and f22 raptor.
In Egypt(owns Rafale as well as Mig-35) rafale "blinded"(with SPECTRA) MIG-35. so its better than Migs also
You can check Growling sidewinder. He is making videos about dogfights etc of warplanes.
Rafale has an edge because of its BVR missiles range and Radar.
Please make a video on comparison between J20 with F16 or Rafale
France won☝️
If you are comparing two for multirole operations, rafale is a clear winner. It's more powerfull, can carry more, has more lift and has less radar footprint. However in a dogfight viper is a beast. Nothing can beat an f16 v other than su27-35 flanker series and f15 in a dogfight even including f22,f35 and f18
is rafale radar better than f16v(not f16)?
is rafale missle better than AIM-120D? if not, having a better airplane body is the only advantage rafale has.
AIM-120D on F-16 is irremediable
French Meteor missil is the best of the world. Range ; no escape zone : 500km!
