𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
In this video, we will learn about LiDAR & its working principle. LiDAR, or light detection and ranging, is a popular remote sensing method used for measuring the exact distance of an object on the earth's surface. As LiDAR has plenty of applications, so will take a look at a LiDAR Sensor from Benewake called a TFMini-S Micro LiDAR Distance Sensor. This LiDAR Sensor can measure the distance up to 12 meters.
First, we will go through the interfacing of TFMini-S with Arduino. We will see its library and basic example code to measure the distance. Then we will use a display unit like LCD Display to display the measured distance in LCD Screen. We will also be doing the range testing and performing various other tests. If you are excited about this product then let’s begin this tutorial.

Awesome project.and the way you presenting is outstanding super se bhi uper. Thanks for making this project for us.😊
😎😎😎Nice video, fun to watch!
Nice explanation its really useful
nicely done.
Great job ♥
Awesome video
Recalling interesting work guys
Thank you!! I've tried so many examples online that don't work, including from Benewake and all of the library examples. Can you explain what you changed in their example codes to fix it? By the way, this also works on the TFMini-Plus.
Nice sensor
Nice video and the usage is well explained!
I don't have electronics background, but want to do some hobby electronics. Some questions:
1. How thin an object can it detect? Can it detect a bicycle, i.e. Can it detect the size of the width of a bicycle tire?
2. Can it be used in all external lighting conditions? What are the limits?
3. Can we choose to use only non-visible ranges of the source (ultraviolet, infrared) so that if we want an app that doesn't disturb humans or aniimals around?
Thanks.
Awesome video! But I was just wondering if the LiDAr TFMini-S Micro can only detect on its linear view? or it has field of view which can detect side objects other than the linear view of the sensor?
Hey great video I have bought tf mini luna lidar sensor and esp32. There is no ouput coming out. Tried each and every possible way but was working (p.s. sensor is working condition wires were fitted properly directly with microcontroller. All libraries were downloaded).
Can you suggest what can i do ?
sank you. its was very interested. maybe you can talk about the extra long lidar sensor? )
Can we use these code with tf luna model
Can it measure .1 or .01 of an inch/ .254 cm or .0254 of a cm wanting to know accuracy?
Hi, I need help. My lidar tf mini-s is stuck at initializing. And from what I searched it was because the arduino does not receive anything from the lidar, but no solution online. May I know how to rectify it?
Thank you for your help
can it be used to measure objects in the form of liquids ?
Can you please tell me the function code
That can change the value of Frame rate (frequency) for my project.. thanks
👍👍👍
can i use this sensor with esp 8662?
That thumb though!!!!
is this suitable to detect the distance of an object as speed past at 30-km/h? The object will be between 5 and 55cm as it flows past the sensor
You need Time of Flight Sensor
How accurate is it?
Nice tutorial. But the rx and tx pin of this module is 3.3volt.
Is there is any problem we connect it directly to arduino without a voltage devider??
Yes bro we need a voltage divider network as UART pin has 3.3V logic. We cant use 5V on UART pin for long period of time else device will get damaged
I wonder why you didn't mentioned it and not shown in the circuit diagram 😲.
I will mention this in the website tomorrow. Thanks :)
@@HowtoElectronics Web site has yet to be updated with the TTL logic converter information!
what is the actual range of this sensor?
Madam, can this sensor measure distance in the range of 0.5 cm to 15 cms????
Use proximity sensor rather
Can you please tell me the code
As we are doing the same project
And can you give me the lidar details too
Check code link in description
