I would love to see you guys react to the campaign of Medal of Honor: Warfighter. It was one of my all time favorite FPS games, mainly because of how good it felt to play and the different options you had for breaching rooms, and because it’s about Navy SEALS, and my grandpa was an OG SEAL

But it can also be hilariously campy and even cartoonish. Metal gear is the work of an intelligent person who's clearly on alot of drugs and I love it.
I remember, vaguely, a documentary on the Commando units in WW2 and one of the vets they interviewed talked about how important it was to have a good sense of humour.

I've realized after countless hours of time spent going in to the rabbit hole that is mgsv:tpp in every aspect of its dense complexities and storyline that, the real point of the game is for the player as snake to fubar as much of the antagonists plans as possible while growing a syndicate style merc f.o.b. with you being idolized as much as Charles Manson was in his prime. You even rescue children from Africa from diamond mining operations and guerilla warfare just to have them complete better training and fight the life they knew. Literally. Then theres some type of optic nerve hypnogogia taking over to leave with you with enough insight to even survive against the supernatural forces that may or may not be working against you. Then you are immediately forced into becoming the world's most ingenious pandemic powerhouse of doctor to save the world from a parasite that kills when speaking. Even outsmarting a mountain of an a.i. robot all the while carrying the mad scientist who created it on your back to a musical chairs style l.z.. ONLY THEN to return to the f.o.b. and discover you are not even the person you fought so hard to be and that you are actually a coma-VR-mind controlled and hyonotized-broken left overs a man- with almost no chance to walk or think again turned into the(circa.1980's) world's most effective body double or even quintuplet up the legendary big boss- snake. Wholefully feeling as if your entire existence is a lie and game you then look into the mirror and realize "i am snake" and snake is fucking awesome.

@@iClone316 That may have been the point. Metal Gear, as a series, has had so many over the top moments, that I think Kojima wanted us, the players, to be able to create them. I'd say he succeeded.
Realistically would mean a squad of a couple dozen shooters along with snake and an overwatch element of like 75 rangers and 1 or 2 drones plus maybe some fixed wing on standby. In real life missions aren't done with one dude haha

Agreed especially since Jacob is the one who prefers hand-to-hand combat and uses a style that is basically bare-knuckle boxing fused with straight up street brawling meaning most of the more brutal moves that result in broken bones belong to him, where as little sister/brains of the duo Evelyn aka Evie prefers knives, and daggers though she's not afraid to use h2h moves as she has some decent grapples, and access to most of the game's more technical disarm moves including ones where she disarms the enemy and then immediately uses said weapon for the killing blow, and some of the most acrobatic, and deadliest kicks. Meaning it's basically where their different H2H styles reflect their personalities Jacob since he's the hot-headed sibling likes to use extremely brutal strikes, and less then fancy grapples that 9 times out of 10 results in dead foes who have multiple broken bones, where as Evie due to her being the more calculating intelligent sibling relies more on her precise acrobatic kicks, and technical grapples that allow her to manipulate her enemy's joints allowing for efficient takedowns/kills, and disarming foes and then following up with using said stolen weapon to kill said foe.
6:20 About the “wiping with hands” bit, Yes we do wipe with our hand (left hand only) so that we can shake hands with our right hand + we wipe with our hand and also use water with it, which is btw much muuuuuuch cleaner than using toilet paper

And it’s cleaner because you use water not just wipe and have a crusty a**. Also that’s why when we see long finger nails we think the person is unclean. If you try it you will never go back to wiping I’m sure of it.

It's heartwarming to see real warriors connect with something that, in a lot of ways, was created to provide them with some levity. Few fictions address the absurdities of conflict as completely as these games.

I'm so old I can remember when a gaming magazine had an SAS veteran play the original Metal Gear Solid and he loved the cardboard box mechanic. Said it reminded him of a time in East Germany when he hid under an upturned cow trough and an enemy patrol walked right past him.

I love this game, and franchise, so much. The Konami/Kojima debacle haunts me every day, because I fear a game like this will never exist again. The game wasn't even finished, the narrative wasn't allowed to be completed, and it's still one of my favorite games of all time. A modern day tragedy.

It’s hilarious seeing gameplay like this as someone that played the game when it came out, took it way too seriously because it’s one of my favorite franchises , and then realized you can play way better and do way better at the game when you let go of the seriousness and just fuck with the gameplay systems. I’ve played Mgs 1-5 and I have to learn the SAME lesson EVERY time!!! 😂
Yep. I played 90% of this game in a more practical and efficient way. BUT, No other stealth game allows you to even do half of the ridiculous shit you can do in MGS V so this was a nice change of pace LOL

My personal favourite trick in the game was the 'Alarm Clock Surprise' Tranq a guy, dump his body somewhere quiet, then surround it with claymore mines. If he wakes up, he'll take one step in any direction and BOOM.

The funny thing is, this isn't even the most creative stuff I've seen people do in this game. This is actually pretty basic compared to the nuttier stuff out there ...and yes, decoys are a work of art in this game, almost necessary to create the setup.

@@ElixirOfEuphoria you don’t get shit on your hand you use the water first and hand second to make sure there is nothing left. And you have to wash your hand with soap multiple times. And it’s cleaner because you use water not just wipe and have a crusty a**. Also that’s why when we see long finger nails we think the person is unclean. If you try it you will never go back to wiping I’m sure of it.

I used to launch supply drops at snipers so I wouldnt compromise my position by shooting at them
Didn't have a bowling bowl or pins so snake had to improvise.

I'm so old I can remember when a gaming magazine had an SAS veteran play the original Metal Gear Solid and he loved the cardboard box mechanic. Said it reminded him of a time in East Germany when he hid under an upturned cow trough and an enemy patrol walked right past him.
I love how this isn’t like most other “people in this field react to a game or movie about it” where they just point out random inaccuracies. I love how they find the gameplay goofy and fun

I love this game, and franchise, so much. The Konami/Kojima debacle haunts me every day, because I fear a game like this will never exist again. The game wasn't even finished, the narrative wasn't allowed to be completed, and it's still one of my favorite games of all time. A modern day tragedy.

It’s hilarious seeing gameplay like this as someone that played the game when it came out, took it way too seriously because it’s one of my favorite franchises , and then realized you can play way better and do way better at the game when you let go of the seriousness and just fuck with the gameplay systems. I’ve played Mgs 1-5 and I have to learn the SAME lesson EVERY time!!! 😂

No other stealth game allows you to even do half of the ridiculous shit you can do in MGS V so this was a nice change of pace LOL

I think this wasn´t a bad video, but it could be a lot better with a more practical gameplay to make the experts compare what they see to what they know.

Tranq a guy, dump his body somewhere quiet, then surround it with claymore mines. If he wakes up, he'll take one step in any direction and BOOM.

The funny thing is, this isn't even the most creative stuff I've seen people do in this game. This is actually pretty basic compared to the nuttier stuff out there ...and yes, decoys are a work of art in this game, almost necessary to create the setup.
God, I forgot how much I loved this game. I will never forget the one time I beat Extreme Sahelanthrupus with no damage taken.
