Thank you for the video! Followed it all the way to the end and was able to get them on there with no major issues, really appreciate the diagram you made of the crossover and the wires. It made it stupid easy to get it together.
@@A-IGarage so you can remove the magnet easily if you have tiny hands by reaching down above it and giving it a twist. These cars are so old that the screw holding it in place may be seized. In that case you can try and stick something with a very long extension up through the bottom, just have to find the screw! And you can literally double sided tape the new tweeter in place. There isn’t much space for it to move.
@@bignoseara841 Thank you for the explanation. My problem I have now with the magnet is that it now just spins around and I have tried to access the screw underneath with a flat head screwdriver but I still can't get the magnet out.
Hey homie. So the final step I had to do was to just quickly pull the tweets up and out of their hole, and check out the big ol magnet in there. It held the old tweeter In place as well. If you’re lucky this magnet, held In By a screw can be spun out. Mine just spun out from the top. It’s kind of precarious and a small area with the windshield there, but it’s definitely doable! Awesome vid man! Jerry JEERY JERRY!!Is he still on island. I need an upgrade real bad on my 94. You still like your setup ? Would ya do anything different?
He is still here!!! And still a champ haha! Nah man the only thing that’s tough is unscrewing the magnets from the stock tweeter mounts. That’s why people “need to take off the dash” but if you’re lucky they come right out! I wouldn’t change a thing! I even added a sub haha
Im currently working on wiring in these same exact ones as i type this. Quick question. How is the bass and overall sound? Im trying to figure out if i should add an amp or not
Honestly, over all sound is pretty rad. They’re great quality for the price and I love that mine are powered just fine with the kenwood deck I have. Bass is good but I still added a single 12 low profile truck box in the hatch so I could have actual lows. But it “didn’t need it” per se you know? I loved it without the sub but I’m happy it’s there now
Recoils sit on top of it using the magnet they poke out of the top of the dash though. And they really stay there the magnet is very strong. If you want to take the magnets off to place the stock grille back on top to look OEM, you need to use 90 degree pliers to turn the magnet counterclockwise to release it from the small screw holding the magnet in place. If you’re lucky the araldite holding the screw in place is still intact. If so, the magnet will spin off counterclockwise while the screw remains. The. Put the speaker in there and put the grille back on.
@@bignoseara841 Thanks man. Pretty sure I need to remove the dash because of the glue or whatever giving out on the tweeter. Just wanted to make sure that strong ass magnet won't disrupt the recoil tweeter's sound.
@@ibreakifix ahh I feel you buddy. Nah those tweets are actually pretty strong. That’s why I ended up changing the pins on the inside of the crossovers. They were absurdly loud haha

@@bignoseara841 I just have one question about the Tweeters. Have you removed the magnet that sits on the top and how did you place the new tweeters ?

Sick video I don't have a Supra but I still learned a lot!
That makes me super happy! thanks for the comment bro!
How do you get the tweeter covers back on the dash after you mount the aftermarket tweeters in there?

Do you have to remove the OEM tweeter magnets? Or can Recoil's sit on top of it?
