@@andrewphillips470 i dunno they dont do it for me and would need a full build to be what i want.
Vin please for the love of god don’t sell the Porsche 😭😭😭
fr the regret of selling the RS wont be redeemed with any other cars
400k is 400k, that's a toughhhh one. But I feel you
I've never forgiven him for selling the e46 tbh
Yup, consider it a retirement fund. You can sell it down the line if you need to, for more.
@@anthonyliso6791 it wouldnt fetch 400k. if someone offered that i'd be out in a heartbeat

@@Blinkman24 pretty much
@@Blinkman24the acquisition by wheelpros was done before Ken died. It was already going downhill.
Was coming to comment this lol
Out of the former Hooinigan employees that have left, it’s been Vin and Zac that have been my absolute favorite to watch
Same.
I don’t know why but even tho Hertz is the only one doing actually appealing stuff, like the drifting, his bad sound quality and video editing, has turned me off.
Sameeeeeee, they are just really easy to digest and the vibes just work
Vin's whole vibe is just genuine to me. Trying things out on his own, aiming to entertain but in a realistic way, just having a good time! Zack's having fun too but I feel like he's stretching the "insane yelling Zac" vibe a bit much, and the burnout yard streams haven't been as interesting to watch (last one I watched every car lasted a short time and broke down) vs say watching burnouts at the freedom factory). But! Nothing negative to all of them, just as long as they're out having fun!
Still waiting on Suppy
Bro really put the stock wheels back on the GT3 to bait us 😭😭
hahah nah i sold them to a buddy
Definitely had me for a minute, especially mentioning the $300-400k going price. Lmao
Hahaha that happend a while back.
Don’t sell the RS, sell the other stuff, sleep on the RS. Like you said, you won’t be able to replace it. It’s money in the bank when you really need it. I don’t think you’re in the situation that calls for selling it. Just my 2 cents.
Please don’t sell the rs
Pleaseeee don’t sell the RS
For real that's a hero car. And you won't ever get another one. It's it's the perfect pinnacle car for you to compare other track focused cars against
It's not just about the money as much as it is that i dont really like having such a valuable car. The shitbox 360 has no worries and I love that. But who knows. Im not actively trying to sell it.
@@vin_tra I actively stalk the 2012 and older GT3 / GT3 RS Listings daily and knew it wasn’t listed. I’m looking for a 997.1 or 996.2 GT3, I missed the boat on RSes, part of the reason I’m telling you not to let yours go.
Money comes and goes. You never regret seeing money leave your pocket for good reasons, but you can definitely regret seeing a standard transmission GT3 RS leave your garage FOREVER. That pickup was a massive win when I heard you got it, and the reason its more valuable now is because everyone else wants what you already have. They want that dream. Shit, I WANT THAT DREAM. I couldn't afford that car then, I sure as hell can't afford that car now. Vinny, from the bottom of my heart, I can't afford to see you sell that car without saying something. Keep it man. You won't regret that decision. Plus, you get to share that dream with all of us, and we know it's still possible.
997 GT3 is a KEEPER!!!
You can not get rid of the 997.... That's the last great drivers Porsche and it will only be going up in value. You will regret it my Mayne
Came for the cars, stayed for Vinny’s weed removal service.
Diversifying the portfolio 😂 🌱🌿🍃🧹
Love Vins multiple camera angles for each shot.😂
I wish Scotto, had a channel, just working on his cars. Cause scotto is the only one who has had forever cars .
Also the only one who has "forever cars" that will forever not run lol.
He has a channel. He just never posts any videos. It’s been over a decade.
@@superrad1659 I was gonna say, he's the only one who's not working on his cars, wouldn't be much content there 😂
On a side note: Does anyone know what he's been doing lately?
@@Harry_Gersack that’s true, but when he does do some work its generally pretty good, wish the vw86 would get done. Or just seeing do trip to buy cars would be good
I think I remember him saying he might upload some videos but on IG or some other platform.
Let's be real, I'd rather watch AvoScotto Farms over anything he does car related.
You should do a series where you start with one car and try to wheel and deal it up to a goal car as quickly as possible. As an example how long would it take you to turn a mk4 GTI into an R32 GTR or something. Cars are interchangeable, the series would be super interesting though
7:46 “ hooligan is gone” I know a lot of of us feel that way I’m glad it’s now being said
At 47 and owing 35+ cars you eventually learn that there is always another car, always a better deal and what seams like a once in a lifetime deal is never as amazing as you think. Moving on feels liberating. Keep up the great content.
12:19 You definitely sold to the right kind of guy LOL
Lexus ISF.
Four doors-check
V8- check
JDM-check
Cool-check
Affordable-check
PS the GT3 has to stay
I really enjoy the yard work endings and inserts. It’s good stuff that always makes me smile
I think I might be more of a "Scotto" owner car guy... where I hold on to vehicles because I want them forever, not because of value, etc. but it's your decision and I love your channel
He's really good at keeping his emotions away from it. I've made some bad deals because of emotions 😂
Good profile pic btw
Move forward today to make a better tomorrow! Don’t worry Vin when that UA-cam money grows imagine the possibilities and cool cars coming to the channel! I’m happy for you, Skinny and the DDE family! Seeing people build cool cars and enjoying life is beautiful to see! Let’s go 💯👊🏻🤣🙏🏻❤️
Don't blame you for getting rid of the e36 race car. One of the more regrettable things I did was go fully built 1000whp on our e36 328i. Car definitely wasn't as enjoyable afterwards. Didn't help it was 2007 so that much power was unheard of. So wasnt too happy with the trans, ecu, clutching and lag (engine is a 8:1 old school big boost build with an 80mm) Car was more fun when it was making 6-700whp with the stock engine.
Ahhh a good ol HPF era build! 😂
1000hp is always a mission but in 07 thats nuts
@@hodad200 na this was quite a few years before hpf was around. For perspective when we first started messing with the m52 around 04 no one had made more than 400 with one. We were the first to 4,5,6,7,8,900whp and 1000whp lol. Everyone told us to just build an s50/s52 cause they thought they were better but we made more on a stock m52 (715whp) than stock s52 (600whp) . HPF i remember seeming a little shady. Especially with their hp claims and reliability. We always rented dragstrips anywhere from Southern Maryland to Connecticut and tried to invite some of their e46s but none ever showed up.
@@vin_tra yea we felt pretty much untouchable. Even better was that the car is a sedan so street racing packed 5 deep was always fun. my only build ill probably ever do to that extent. It was stressful towards the end worrying about what's going to break next and how much will it cost. Thankfully alot of the one off parts we had sponsors like driveshaft shop made the first run of e36 axles and driveshaft for us, UUC made a few custom turbo cams and ICS in Stamford CT gave us free labor and dyno time for life. It was just me and my pops. I was still in high-school and he was in the elevator union. Slept in the 95 Tahoe we used to tow the car plenty of nights. But also stayed at multi million dollar estates and guest houses in Greenwich nextdoor to 50 cent/ Mike Tyson. Some of the people we met up there were insanely wealthy it was a culture shock to me. One time I rode with the guy we stayed with to get a b day present for his dad and come to find out he bought him a brand new Z8 that we beat the crap out of for a couple hours. He was only 17 at the time also but guess he had access to his parents accounts. Everyone up there called us "The Rednecks" and said we had an accent. Was an awesome time in my life that ill never forget.
@@vin_tra holy shit sorry for the novel. I was just reminiscing.
Would be cool if all the hoonigan guys get together and create a new weekley transmission channel with a new collective burn yard that can be used across all y’all’s channels
Thanks for being you, Vin. This shit rocks.
You are always so level headed. Cannot wait to see your next build. Massive success!
I'm 10 seconds in and I'm not scared because it won't be the GT3 or the 3 series.
Actually.... just noticed the BBS are missing from the GT3RS.
funny thing is he's selling all his 3 series lol
the gt3 isnt going nowhere, hes talked about selling it on like 4 videos now. He's only gonna let go on a financial emergency or if someone drops him half a mill
@@NextDoorGuy NOOOOOO 😭😭
@@NextDoorGuy not a half mill haha but i am considering selling it for all the reasons i spoke about. its just the hardest car for me to actually let go.
@vin_tra would you sell land in an appreciating market just because eventually you wouldn't be able to buy it, or would you sit on the property and treat it as an asset to hold until you really needed the funds?
I was smiling the whole time!!! From when you built that car to the time of selling that car. It’s sad to sell something you put your heart and soul into but knowing (hopefully) it’s going to a good home and seeing the smile on that guys face knowing he’s going to enjoy it!! Love the content Vin!! It’s like cars and coffee with Vin. Hold on to the Porsche, it seems you really love that car. Peace!!
So what you're saying is I should move to California, buy some units and rent them out to car guys... I enjoy the mix of videos on your channel, it's good to have some variety, rather than just build videos. Those sorts of channels don't show the cars getting driven, which is what it's all about! I'm particularly looking forward to seeing some road tripping, meeting up with some old faces around the country and seeing some different car cultures too.
Best closing scene ever - seriously. REAL.
Keep the RS, especially because you are the only real youtube channel that has one. Imo the RS gives your channel a unique edge/audience. Plus, most likely in 3-5 years you’ll be beating yourself up like most other previous RS owners when they’re way more expensive than they are currently and wishing you hadn’t sold for “that cheap”
I love how real Vin is with the channel. It’s so helpful for gauging expectations with this stuff.
A Chaser would be sick
The love and hate of something you work so hard on. Goodluck with the next project!
I just wanted to say I recently came across your channel and it has quickly become my favourite I love your vlog style content following the journey of a car you buy, just a car guy living out the dream!
14-17 Chevy SS manual and four door
So sad to see it gone. A new chapter unfolds. I know the split hurts, especially when you’ve a loaded deck, but things happen for a reason. Still love all the OG’s out here. Especially Hert still breaking things.
When you said "I have seven cars!" - I thought: That's not that many, I remember Scotto having 30 some (?) cars, and things that one day were, or could be, cars.
This made me realize I'm more of a "Scotto", than a "Vin".
Perhaps there's a lesson here. On consumerism and hoarding. I also remember Adam Savage saying something like: we don't own objects, we're merely their stewards or care takers.
One of the deepest yt comments I've ever read🤌😂
I love how vin is like the diy like take care of your shit kinda guy it’s very inspiring and i thoroughly enjoy watching your videos vin
3:20 FL is the same way cant leave cars outside or they will rust from the top down
Not a super equivalent comparison but Georgia has alotta sun tanning too. Prefer it over rust tho! Washington doesn't have salted roads but the rain got salt and eats away stuff
Yes! You build cars, trucks. etc. buying a new project to build is not being a cartuber. You're doing what you always have done. Now you can fund the builds by having a UA-cam channel. You're just documenting your life. Now we have that out of the way. Let's get this Thang rollin.
Damn those early 90s Lexus GS were nice, good luck, happy hunting!
Vin coming to terms with his carcaine problems and handling it, respect! (Says me who's still working on his driving licence, derp)
Next car is 4 door, turbo, manual, rwd... hmmm... is it time for Vin to get a Volvo?
what modern(ish) Volvo's are actually cool/fun cars that fit the criteria? Genuinely asking, I know little to nothing about Volvos.
@superrad1659 well basically none of their modern stuff does. But the older models, 240, 740, 940 were all rwd and offered with a turbo and a manual. In the 90s they switched to making everything fwd and they also started using 5 cylinder motors instead of 4
man I'm a big volvo guy, but I doubt he'll ever get one. And about their modern stuff, yeah everything has the engine mounted transverse. But I'd really love to see someone fit an I6, I5 or V8 longitudinal into a second gen V60 or a V90. Imo the'yre the best looking modern wagons by far
Click video then immediately hit that like button. Every piece of content has been A+ since the start. Sad to see the M3 go but I completely agree with you as to why. Would love to see a 4 door build come to the channel next. Also I would hold on to the RS for a little while longer but if the money talks 😬 💰 ✌🏼
Bruh... don'tchu sell that GT3. You will cry a river if you do.
It would be brutal but the time may be coming
The Merc in the back with the OZ wheels, i need more of that!
Selling the RS, to make some quick cash is a really bad idea, and you will never be able to buy one in the future, at least at the price you paid for it. You should sell all the heaps and beaters. Nothing in your collection is worth it apart from the Ferrari and the GT3RS. Sell everything except the GT3 and the F430, and start buying/selling more beaters?
If you hold onto that porche it will be worth even more in the future. You said it yourself it’s one of your favorite cars. Keep it great drivers car.
I see you Vin, with the multiple shots and slick edits. it really shows how much effort you're putting in edit: never own a car you can't afford to replace. sell the GT3
Absolutely love that you end every video by doing chores, so real
R32 GTR, for sure!
Dude, I remember a long time ago there’s a tv show called ’Wheeler Dealers’ from the UK where they buy cars, fix them and flip them. That is a very interesting format suited for you
Please not the porsche🙆
Yes Vin byegones to that bimmer! Great color, great sound, great rims
Babe wake up. Vin dropped a new video
Would love to see you build an old x3 or x7 Cressida. Fits the 4door RWD theme although you would have to turbo/motor swap it. Building on an older chassis would also be a nice juxtaposition to the rest of the cars on the channel.
I’ve been slightly depressed recently and the bit at 1:30 where you say you need to look after your shit hit home. I have tons of nice shit that I semi neglect that I never use to. I’ve put this weekend to good use, hopefully get back into good old habits. You’re the best Vin 🤝
PLEASE go Aristo or Stagea 260rs. Everybody overlooks them for chasers, soarers, cimas, Presidents, and skylines so you can almost guarantee you won't see another one in the wild outside of big events. (and most will be all VIP, whereas yours, from what I can see of your style, will be a driver's car.)
There are big things to come on this channel, that is for sure. It is never easy letting cars go unless you're making moves.
Just an idea for a build - Nissan Stagea… if you’re thinking R33 or R34, the Stagea is the wagon version of those… what more could you ask for 🤷🏼♂️
2:15 lol consider the saving done and done. I love watching your channel for you, not only the cool cars you have or work on. Just keep being you!
Can’t lie, the last 10 seconds of that video were weirdly relaxing and enjoyable……..
Sad to see the E36 go, but excited to hear it’s coming to NoVA. Excited to see it around the area.
Vin you gotta hit us with a Chaser build series. The majority of the American audience doesn’t know what they’re missing
Dude that was probably me on Latigo. I had a place near Dukes in Malibu. That car is now at our house in Japan. 997.2 Gray black with red cage.
I agree with Vin here. The E36 never felt right on this channel. Building an insane race car in one go is cool and all. I just enjoy the slow development of a race car. It’s fun seeing a car and a driver develop together rather than a driver building an insane car that they now have to learn to drive. Much like the guys over at gears and gasoline. They seem to have the formula down for good story development, pacing, and just fun in general. Not sure if Vin will see if but as I get older and realize that I won’t realistically own as many cars as a UA-camr, his approach to thinning out the pack feels more grounded and realistic. Which I find refreshing in the UA-cam landscape these days.
I also work in architecture so I fucking love seeing his house 😂 that that place is a dream. Garage and all
I love these builds, and i think if you go on a trip to Japan and find a car, import it, build it, and show it off would be awesome... or you like Porsche, so maybe you could go crazy and do something we have not seen (at least i have not) and build a Porsche Panamera! You can get them cheap under $50k... and be the first to build it up.
Has nothing to do with cars but if you hit those weeds with some round up specifically the purple labeled stuff the big box stores sell in a spray bottle after you pull them to prevent if you couldnt get the root or before to make it easier to ensure you can pull the roots with the plant itself .dont use the purple label on grassy areas or areas you dont want to die ..there are other versions for those types of areas ..dope vid as usual
Vin it’s been cool af to see your channel take off and you getting more comfortable with filming and what not. Keep grinding my dude, we the people appreciate the content. Need more GT3 driving in the canyons
THANK GOD the GT3RS is still here...whew. I was sweating.
I’d say try a few videos driving the cars for their purpose weather it’s , drifting , racing , auto cross personally I love seeing people really driving what they build instead of it sitting
Why’s this guy look like an East Coast Ron? 😂 Not gonna lie, the E36 was nasty and I am going to miss it. Props to this guy and I hope he drives the shit out of it.
Thinking of selling the GT3RS is normal because of how much equity BUT you don’t NEED to sell it.
That car is a mini 401k the longer you own it. Yea it’s too valuable to use on track so fine don’t use it that way.
Stay the course, thin the herd, recoup your storage $ and space. Daily the Raptor, manual swap the Ferrari. Less cars less stress and anxiety about keeping them all up.
You probably sent the GTI to NY and that to me is another keeper cause it isn’t worth much but very cool.
Doing well Vin. Good moves, stick with Ron, he’s a famous hill climb racer now!!!!
I’m totally with ya, I hate having expensive stuff because break everything. I like having shit boxes
I fully agree that the Hunt/Buy/Mod/Enjoy saga is very engaging and enjoyable content. Even this episode was very fun and exciting in a special way.
If you decide to do any sort of turbo 4-door Toyota build, I highly recommend you team up with Serialnine for your drift suspension parts.
It’s a great thing that you’re looking for new projects and want to move on… I feel the same way. Grew up building Hondas, present time need to move on to big and better things!!!!
Good luck on the hunt!!!!!!!
Vin is just getting rid of all his BMW's. But I'm really happy the 997 is staying!
NoVA resident here - Thanks Vin, now I'll be looking for it every time I leave the house.
I would love to see an R34 4 door build! That is something I have been looking for here in Canada.
Stoked on the new journey!
“Nassau County days”… greetings from Mitchell Field!
Great, watch a video from the man who not only actually uses his cars, but cherishes them and he hits me in the feels with Mk4 R32 while my Mk4 Bora V6 4motion sits neglected in the driveway.
I really need to get it back on the road and reintroduce everyone to the music of a 2.8 vR6.
I 100% look forward to your videos vin love the Brock soundtracks in the background too
I'm still loving the content. Especially picking up the weeds at the end. Next level esoteric
I have 11 vehicles and yes, I would like to have more but I modify everything so I have to sell some because as you mentioned, its insane how much time it takes to clean them all and go thru all the details that they need and maintenance etc.
Vin!!! Already spoke to you once in the 997 GT owners group on FB once, pleaaaaaase keep that 997, it's a gem and it will always be interesting, it's like the first Aventador from Stradman, just keep it brother and enjoy it to it's fullest, track it from time to time and enjoy it!
Do a R34GTT Sedan Drift build. Kind of stands out on UA-cam since there hasn't been a ton of builds of the R34 yet. R32 GTRs and Chaser JZX100s are sick, but honestly they've been done a good bit on youtube.
I work with Jeremy! I got to ride in that beast and man, it’s so damn good. It’s in good hands for sure dude.
An R34 4door would be a sick build. Nobody has done one of those on their channel and you do make some clean builds.
Or a Stagea………
Maybe Mike Essa or one of the DDE guys would buy the yellow 3 series to keep drifting the block. Or you could store it there, give the guys free use, and it would be a good excuse to visit once in a while.
I guessed it would be the green E36 and actually agree with you on your approach. It's cool and personal and appreciate you being so truthful on the channel and bringing us along.
That being said, please DO NOT sell that GT3 lol.
Keep up all the great content! Love hearing the R32! 😊😊
Awesome video today, I looked at your face when you said you going to sell a car. Everything you said about the E36, I have watched you build it, mod it, have track days in it, and it’s a part of your life as a part of the Hoonigan family/crew. The guy you sold it to has one of the coolest cars in the world and it is one of the mechanical sound and it sounds great on the street. You have some space back and make $. You made good decision. A new car project is creating a new vibe, more positive energy and the fans of this page want to see what you are doing next. And I’m one of them. Keep doing what you’re passionate about. And big ups to your camera and editor, awesome job and keeping the story going.
Loving your channel Vin! Was stoked to see a new video! We need a full house and yard tour soon!
Look forward to seeing this in Northern VA
Do some more street cruises with the homies. That's always fun to watch. DDE Dave says he has been trying to put together a crew to cruise with.
Currently have 9 and one more on the way. You’re right, it’s entirely too much to deal with while also working a full time job.
that sounds like you'd be talking about kids lol
@@Harry_Gersack haha, the cars seem inexpensive and easy on time compared to kids 😅
Sellers remorse is a real thing for sure. I’ve felt it a few times between my old Mustang and first Caprice. There’s always something fun and cool to be had next.
I think you need a Holden in your life. 😉
VSP is gonna loooove that BMW lol, especially in NOVA😂😂😂😂
Would be cool to see a period correct Honda Build, something like a EK or EG Hatch, B18 with Mugen or Spoon parts would be really cool
Feel your pain. Currently have 5 cars and they are all around the 20 year mark or more so upkeep is getting to be a pain, even with mostly Japanese cars. The issue is all my cars serve a different purpose and fill a role perfectly, but damn.
Man "perfect daily driver" That's how you knew he was the guy for that car
