Finally bought a Sting. Really good quality, nice remote switch - although there is no built-in mount, you have to use the supplied velcro (I used zipties). The lasers (IR and VIS) are nice and bright. They are both 12mW on high. The vis laser is fairly useable in brighter light, but is best for just setting your IR laser. The IR laser is bright under NV out to several hundred meters - far enough to be at the limit of what you can identify. And at 12mW is capable of punching thru most light barriers.
I wish they had gone with a crane socket for the remote switch so that different aftermarket pads could be used.

hey, may i ask if the power level indicates 12mW on the label on your specific unit? like the warning label on your device where it says class 3B and 3R
      thanks
btw they went with the velcro strap because it was designed to be put around a vertical grip on the tavor platform, not on a standard pic rail

@@FirstLast-yj8ob the label on mine says less than 5mW, but there is no way that is correct, maybe on low power. I have other IR and VIS lasers to compare. Maybe that is the only label they had? Not sure, but all their docs state 12mW and it looks like it to me.

@@Scott-dl1ui ive seen ones saying their max being 5mW, im thinking they did it to circumvent certain US laws that prohibs the sales of lasers over 5mW, my fear is that some of them are being tempered with and watered down for civi markets, but last time i checked they dont sell those to civilians in the states, so i hope im wrong
you did confirm their power level since you have multiple lasers for comparison, its suffice to say they are legit 12mW then
      thanks for the info

@@FirstLast-yj8ob I have an email to Mepro asking if they have a civ version, but so far no response. Nothing i have seen indicates they have different versions of this laser. It is a good aimer, but I think for the price you could find a few options, including grey market units with an illuminator and higher power. I have never seen one on any rifles on youtube or any forums so far.

@@Scott-dl1ui months later, and still no major info about this online, im starting to think this will become a unicorn lam device down the road, there is however a swiss guy mr funswitch, he has the meeps sting on his 300blk pdw full auto, and apparently the device cant be sold to civilians in the states

I cannot find the laser power levels? (for model ML305002) This should be listed in the specifications.
