I was always hyped up when I faced Silver as Gold using my Typhlosion against his Ferraligator.
The battles were always awesome :D

When I played Heart Gold I was always super excited when Silver showed up... I guess he was my first bad guy crush
I read the manga and notice some odd similarity between SIlver and Ruby/Brendan:
- Both have a water starter.
- Both fight against a protagonist using a fire starter.
- Both said to be from the region appear before them.
- Both got save by their dad when they were looking for them (expect Brendan in a thunderstorm and Silver in middle of a fire).
- Both use another water pokemon that evolve from an useless pokemon (Gyarados and Milotic).
- Both have their pokemon appear first with them evolve in later arc (Weavile and Gardevoir).
- And both of their dad are gym leader.

He did not steal sneasel. Sneasel has been with silver since he was a child. And that means Giovanni gave silver sneasel
The manga and the games are not the same canon. While he had sneasel since he was young in the manga, he did steel sneasel in the games. Both facts are correct in their own canons or in their own universe if you want to call it that. What remains the same in both worlds is that he is Giovanni's son ^^
I always liked silver I feel like comepared to all the rivals, he was actually the best one to play that role and also the best one to have great progress, unlike the last few pokemon games, we're the rivals lack well rivalry and little development.

It always bugs me that Legendaries are actually really small size-wise. I always imagined pokemon like Ho-Oh to be like, a massive majestic phoenix.
8:45 the irony considering the fact that in the manga ho-oh was used to abduct him and his sister figure blue from their homes as children.

@@cream2406 no the blue eyed girl introduced as the third pokedex holder is named after the third pokemon game ever released. plus this manga was created years if not half a decade prior to the remakes of gen 1 were ever a concept.

Silver wasn't only the one who got a starter not from a professor (since he stole it) Hugh from BW raised a starter from an egg.
I disagree Silver isn't the only rival who didn't receive his starter from a prof. wally also doesn't

I kinda have a funny story about Silver. After one of the battles you have with him in Crystal (i think you were in one of the towers), Silver said there was no use keeping weak Pokémon mere seconds after my magikarp evolved into gyrados.

You should watch a video of the story content from the Ho-Oh event is Masters. Some really cool stuff happens for Ho-Oh to pair with Silver. Also, I'd like to see Zinnia in a video like this!
I may be missing something but didn’t Hugh already have his starter without it being given by a professor? The only thing I remember him getting from the professor through Bianca was the Pokédex

6:55 in the adventures manga, Blue/Green (the female protag) steals squirtle. Since let's go Pikachu and Eevee are technically main title games and she's rocking a blastoise, we don't know if they're using her manga origins or gonna give her a new one.

In fire red and leaf green one of the rocket grunts asks "are you the boss' son? No, that kid has red hair!" and a lightbulb went off so hard. I remember trying for YEARS to convince my friends that silver was Giovanni's son and nobody believed me, and then they just straight up say it in hg/ss and now everyone acts like they're the first person to tell you. Lol

Manga Green stole her starter from Professor Oak, while Gladion & Lillie (even though she's not a rival) stole pokemon their mother's organization was experimenting on, so Silver isn't the only rival who stole a Pokemon. I'm surprised you forgot that he was named Black in the Golden Boys Manga. That he was the 1st Rival Character to own a Shiny Pokemon thanks to Red Gyarados in the Lake of Rage that he catches at the end of Pokemon Special Adventures Volume 9. That he was the 1st Pokedex Holder in that same manga to collect 8 Badges, even though he stole them. Additionally there's the fact that he heavily inspired Ash's Primary Rival in the Gen 4 Anime in terms of personality.
As for the next 10 Facts Video how about Snagger Leo from Colosseum? Or we could go oldschool & do a video on either Erika or Sabrina maybe? For Erika a lot of people forget that she was in love with Red in the Special Adventures Manga during the days of Gens 1&2. She also was supportive of Misty loving Red during the Gen 2 Manga, despite her own feelings for Red. Erika was a prodigy capable of both teaching lessons at Celadon University & being the leader of the Gym Leaders of Justice by the point of the Yellow Saga despite her still being a teenager in said manga.
As for Sabrina, you could reveal how she was Green's Rival in the Special Adventures Manga & a member of Team Rocket using Moltres. Another fact about Sabrina is how she possibly used Trick Room to defeat Bugsy in the Gen 2 Manga despite it being a Gen 4 Move. You could also use Sabrina's depictions in the Anime & Electric Tale of Pikachu manga to get more facts on her. I look forward to seeing the next video.

6:20 this actually isn't true. While he's the only one to have stolen a starter, Hugh from B2W2 got his starter from an egg. Where he got that egg from I don't know. I also don't know the stories behind rivals in generations beyond gen 5.
