Yup. Coming up with new topics became a lot more difficult for me when I stopped teaching full-time, and real teaching is a lot more enjoyable than recording videos (in my opinion). Thanks for sharing more about yourself!

I understand your perspective completely. All of your reasons are logical. By diversifying your interests, you enrich your life in many ways.
Even if you don't prepare a special lesson for us, it's always a pleasure to listen to you. It's like a friend sharing his daily life with me.

    Hi Bob,
    Thanks for this new video.
I would even add a 4th reason that many people will never leave their job which is more social. I know quite a few people who, once retired, feel a significant loss due to the sudden cessation of the work they loved doing as well as the significant lack of social interactions with all of their former colleagues.
So that's why, even if one day you feel that the job seems less interesting, don't leave it suddenly, give yourself a lot of time to think because very often it's just a temporary bad patch.
    🙂👍🎓🌻🌺🏖

Hi Bob! I have been following you for many years. I appreciate your ethos and your wise manner of handling the things of everyday life. I think you are a very good husband and father. I also enjoy your way of teaching English. So, the reasons you say to explain why you are not going to quit your stable job are serious and strong. Keep going what you want to do.

I think, and you know this, that you have a good balance in both areas, Bob 😘. The fact that you sometimes have to slow down a bit or take a break from time to time when you have a lot to do during the week is just part of it. On the other hand, you know exactly how I feel about it. We've already written about it a few times ❤. (So I'll keep it short this time.) Have a nice day and greetings to Jen and your kids. ⚖️🍀🧭

It's so nice to hear you telling us all of the reasons why you wouldn't stop teaching at a school because the funny thing is that as I watch your videos it is very clear to me that behind the lessons is a balanced person (being in the farm but also socializing), there is also a person who loves sharing what he knows and what he learns and as you said there is a practical person and this practicality also brings you wellbeing. Ultimately, there is a very transparent person. So, thank you so much for teaching us not only English but also being an insparing exemple that goes beyond language. 🌟🌻❤️🌻🌟

I'm in the same boat. My summer vacation began over a week ago. I'm definitely struggling with finding inspiration for videos. I think you really hit the nail on the head when it comes to ideas for videos. Interaction with others and hearing English being used is important. Just writing this gives me a couple of ideas. Enjoy your summer break!

A really happy person is the one who can boast of having an occupation that he loves and which enables him to bring home some baconl🍗And bring it regularly 😊👍Rare combination in our world, frankly speaking) If you feel you'te cut out for this job, and lots of people keep saying the same to you- keep going! And last but not least thing in teaching is live communication. From your very first video I watched it became apparent that such an outgoing personality couldn't find UA-cam lessons sufficient to live a full life. You're a born teacher, Bob🤝

I use "There's" a lot. When speaking I use the common informal English that I hear every day. It is very common to shorten "There are.." to "There's" in spoken English. You'll hear things like, "There's a lot of people here!" or "There's too many cars in this parking lot." Technically incorrect, but pretty common usage now.
